Need more rotary content. Only Mazda RX-7 isn't rotary. Citröen GS birotor, NSU, Mazda Eunos Cosmo, the legendary 787B, motorcycles like Norton, Suzuki are also rotary. Need video about those.
LOL @ 6:23. People are definitely scared AF with the whole tranny jack BS. No reason to be worried about just letting that thing fly. Gave me a good laugh. Thank You! 👍🤣
Hey everyone, i am taking out my motor and automatic transmission as one. and also i am new to this but fairly good at the work. my question is this 2003 toyota Matrix 1.8 manual trans.can i just take trans off after i get the two out and swap too new motor? or do i have to swap flywheels also?
Cosmo Automatic bellhousings are useful for putting Powerglides and Ford C4 autos behind other rotors. My friend has one in his Powerglide and 13B powered 8 second Starlet
ROTORS my friend has a 20B auto bellhousing between his 13B and Powerglide. It also puts the starter motor in the engine bay rather than next to the trans, which helps with space.
Why did you manual swap it? It's a GT Cruiser and it would have still been plenty epic with that automatic and a turbo 3-rotor! A JDM Grand National, as it were.
I'm guess 2 thing . 1- pilot bearing needs to be swapped out to FD pilot bushing , or possibly measure the inner diameter and match bearing to be pressed in 2- the pressure plate could be hitting the back side of the inner bell housing or throwout bearing wood release Fork is not set properly . & my last suggestion which I know you guys are professionals make sure the pilot bearing alignment tool is removed ik dum but never hurts too check lolz ..
ROTORS welp that just some fuckey then lolz...i would check to see if the throw out bearing is aligning with the pressure plate? I would also check to make sure the transmission tunnel is clear as well. Could be the simplest things?? I hate shit like this bro ... but definitely keep up the good work, I certainly appreciate it I don't really care about others people opinions I just want to see shit get done! .
It's going to be something stupid. I just watched the video back and I dont know if I actually seated the throwout bearinga ll the way on the input shaft after cutting the camera.
ROTORS possibly could be that .. I hope so , and and not the input shaft on the transmission actually being ben or slightly warped I've seen that on other applications
Right, that's my current worst fear. The thing is, we could get the input shaft in, just it wouldn't click in all the way. It also wouldn't rotate the way we wanted it to either, worst case it is the input shaft, best case, it's the throwout bearing hitting the pressure plate.
Exedy Flywheel? I've got a ZF01 and that doesn't look like this one, I see this style appears as a 'Pettit racing' lightweight flywheel? strange, no doubt they do the same job and are similar prices, but a bit weird if it was advertised as a Exedy part
have a question my brother closed my 12a engine before i got to finish my housings can i re-open the engine and use the water seal again. engine still in stand
Rodolfo Lebron I depends on what water jackets you use. Some I wouldn’t trust after they’ve been crushed. Seals like Goopy are reusable. Best bet would be to check with the water jacket manufacturer.
haaa! I knew you guys going to be bought hurt hey dosing need a flywheel Jack what he definitely need is a step stool Jack four little shorty mechanic cannot even reach the flywheel housing you don't have one Snap-on has it the item number is 3 foot height short. probably you going to make another video saying you have one in the shop if you do maybe you should cuz maybe it's a possibility then the transmission would it fit if he have Rich maybe what you're saying was the pilot push bushing that's why transmission didn't want in I don't know but I want to keep watching to find out even know that guys even more interested the videos and also if you friend decide not to be a mechanic anymore and change trades I think he will be good a plus-size model just by the way he what's rocking those those pens what can I say the guy is a natural
12:27 If a transmission jack kills him it would obviously be because he didn't use a transmission jack jack to move it. But no seriously your content is entertaining already, please use safe work procedures as an example. Besides if you get hurt the content stops flowing. The content must flow!

Anton Jimmy 20B, not 13B. 13B and FD autos are the same.

How hard would it be to swap a 07 Kia Rio 5 automatic transmission to a manual?
Why did you manual swap it? It's a GT Cruiser and it would have still been plenty epic with that automatic and a turbo 3-rotor!
A JDM Grand National, as it were.
The amount of money it costs to put a real auto behind it isn't worth the cost.
ROTORS - Ahh. Okay, gotcha.
Dr. Weird that would've been an epic concept tho.
Maybe some people want to change their own gears, i'll never buy a auto and keep it auto. I'll just buy manuals instead.
Drive a 20B powered car and you'll quickly realise it was too good to be mounted to a slush box.

Every pilot bearing from 1974 RX7 to 2011 RX8 are the same. It's all lined up gonna be looking at it a little more tonight.
