- This is a classic, designed by a legend... The simple yet perfect design of this pattern helps the fisherman to fish it in a way that is more conducive to strikes on a crayfish pattern. Let this guy tumble and bounce low in the water column, and on the bottom and it will hammer fish. Smallies and trout alike will pound this simple yet amazing pattern.

Hi from Rolla Missouri 🎣🤠 Dave.
Wonderful looking fly for Pan fishing. Skillfully done, excellent job on this fly. I tie one up using yarns and pheasant feathers. I put a little bit of weight Midway on the hook. Size 10 to 2/0. Thanks for your time and knowledge good health for you and your's 🎣🤠 Dave Hughes.
looks great an yet so simple, quick!!! Thanks I'm gonna tye a number of those...
This is a great video and extremely clear instruction--thanks!
Hi, excellent tutorial, you even included important fishing instruction. Bob Clouser is an amazing fishing machine. He's got smallmouth fishing down to a science. I've seen him in a 2 part video on youtube and have his fly fishing in rivers and streams book.
Thanks again.
Thanks Joe! Bob is indeed an incredible fisherman and super nice guy! I'm glad you liked the tutorial and thanks so much for stopping by our channel
very very nice Kudos
This is probably the coolest and easy one to but could u do it with the hook flipped so when ur fishing rivers near Logs u don't snag as easy
Sure! Provided you make sure it will run that way. Your either going to need to use a jig style hook or tie in your weight all on the bottom side so it will act as a keel. But its certainly possible! Thanks for checking us out!
Just a heads up everyone. We do videos on patterns that are tried and true for us! The patterns that we post are pretty quick to tie and cover lots of situations... If there are patterns yall want to see drop us a comment! Tights lines!
Love this crayfish pattern! We have crayfish in some of our trout lakes here. So would not be dead drifting, probably wouldn't put as much led on there..Where do you get your furry foam from? Thanks again for the videos! Tight Lines!
Hey Stryker, furry foam is a Hareline product so it's available through most fly tying suppliers. I personally get mine from Feather Craft. And yea this is a great pattern! You absolutely won't regret having some of these in your box! Have a great one!
Bob himself sells it out of his shop in Bloomsbury, Pa. He has a kit he will make up for you with exactly what is needed.
