The Clouser Crayfish is a small and deadly crayfish pattern developed by Bob Clouser. The Clouser Crayfish can be fished on the dead drift or as a steamer. Most Crayfish patterns are tied specifically as streamers and this makes them very heavy. The Clouser Crayfish is different. It was actually designed to be fished on the dead drift, which makes it the perfect pattern for large river trout. The Clouser Crayfish is normally fished deep and bounced on the bottom. It imiates a helpless crayfish caught in the current, which is a easy snack for predatory fish. The Clouser Crayfish can be tied in Olive and Tan configurations. With the light olive being my favorite color!

It also helps if your a duck hunter. When u kill a mallard or any duck for that matter and when u clean em u can pluck the feathers or what feathers u wish to save for tying with. Saves a hell of a lot of money

I’ve noticed most of these get tied in a way that they ride upside down in the water

Have you tried this pattern on bass in still water?

Can I tie it upside down so the point rides up when fishing it on the bottom to avoid snags

With the amount of lead he used I’m sure it dose ride hook point up

@@brickbros211 lead doesn’t cause the hook to flip. It’s evenly distributed
