working in advertising in nyc, shoulda been like 1.5 mil of his caliber
Nobody working in media at that level supporting someone so high up is making as low as 40K a year.
200K is not even that much in the world these people are in.
You would be really surprised at how many office interns and people trying to climb the pole get shafted.
Somebody from NYC said this is good enough. Since rent is the main expense and he lives free in an apartment.
@@RealmDesigner A personal assistant to an executive for a multinational corp based in NYC is making well into 6 figures. No question about it. Tom was just fucking with him.
@@adamgoodell5805 perhaps it's 200k a month
@@adamgoodell5805 No it's not. You can look it up. An executive assistant in new york making 130k is high.
i love these two... this duo will always be in my heart
This triggered Greg into telling Ken.
Greg stood to inherit a ridiculous amount from his grandfather... Now he's going to be broke in New York
Tom and Greg’s dynamic is simply the most interesting out of everyone because of why they do what they do: Tom and shiv maybe have gotten together cuz the liked being with each other but at the end of the day they still are around each other cuz they have to for business(they’ve backstabbed, double crossed, manipulated each other and don’t really want to be around the other) while Greg HAD to be around Tom at first for business and Tom needed man power so he chose Greg but despite double crossing and front stabbing they come back to each other… why?? Cuz they want to be around each other cuz they kindred spirits in dirty business still like each other and want the other to succeed if possible.
To think Greg gave up an inheritance
Tom and Greg sitting in a tree KISSING
Achievement unlocked: "he highest paid assistant in human history"
Nice one Greg.
The only two dudes in the Roy family that seemed to do actual work, and they were constantly blown off the Roy kids.
Man, this whole series was just so frustrating (in a good way), watching Shiv, Ken, and Rom just fuck everything up like the unserious, overly ambitious kids they are.
I mean Shiv had an actual career as a political consultant. She could have stayed out of it, and just taken her share of the inheritance.
@@Bigbudd0045 that was not enough for her validation wise
Tom almost fucked himself here by saying this to Greg. He wouldnt have snitched if he didnt think he was getting his salary slashed with Mattson in charge.
Yes he would have lol. This is what Greg has done to literally everyone at every point in this show. He has zero loyalties, he plays every possible side he can at all times.
200k??? That is much lower than I expected. No wonder Greg wants to betray Tom.
200k monthly will be reasonable.
@haolee that's how much some CEOs of nation-wide businesses make, how tf is it reasonable for Greg)
“The highest paid assistant in history” 😂
Shiv voted against Kendall because the siblings bonded over his confession he killed the waiter. Then lied in the finale and said he didn't. Shiv also wanted to save her marriage to Tom with baby coming..
I love how these two stuck together thru the families bullshittt and made it out on top.
See I assumed Tom Was talking monthly
Being paid 200k for an assistant job makes more sense as to why Greg is so servile and always nervous. I would be too.
I would love 200k a year I would be set for life lmao. Buuuut with how rich everyone else is around him I'd be feeling like 200k was chump change
try living in NYC on 200k
@@TJS1028 That would be very easy, especially if you're like Greg and single with no dependents. Plus Greg doesn't have to worry about rent. Kendall gave him a million dollar apartment for free. People are massively overstating the cost of living in NYC. It's certainly more expensive than the rest of the country, but the median salary there is still only $60k, and the median household income is around $68k. If, individually, you're making even $100k per year, you're well off no matter where you live.
200k a year seems laughably low for a person in his role
He's come a long way from projectile vomiting out the eyes of the Doderick the Dog
Tom is the winner. Outsider who played the game better than any of the Roy children minus Conor who didn’t give a shit and only cared about the money.
It was at that moment Greg decided to make Tom CEO.
My favorite scene in Succession was when Greg slapped Tom.. so brutal and looked real.
I enjoy the series the missing part is the value of these resources never seem to be placed towards education practical skills or certifications.
200k and $5m dollar apartment Greg should be absorbing information investing in his own infrastructure and it’s dizzy to think that the inversion of this is a the poor man’s climb up the ladder that Tom’s or better Roman’s “Friend” in the parks department.
They all reaping the fruits of others discipline and demands more control and opportunity based on unproven results.
“Not Serious people”
Business is about trust just as much as its about competence and skills
@@macseamus835 still you need *some* skills or knowledge or talent
and you need effort
Nothing Greg could make on his own would amount to a single scrap from the Roy tablw
Highest paid assistant in human history😂
A year? A month? In US you usually say the annual pay, but $200k (while it would be AMAZING for me) is not that much for a New Yorker who works for guys that own half the world.
This is not even exaggerated. Not all of those high-paid ppl have skills or experience to sit in that chair.
Sometimes, blood is everything.
Was this a deleted scene?
16.5k a month is crazy
Not bad for a former mascot who threw up on the first day at work 😂
Imagine throwing away 250 MILLION DOLLARS for 200k a year
I'm not sure how much I trust Ewan to deliver on that money.....
It's per month. He made a deal with Logan. Tom was saying 20-30-40k. None of those are yearly salaries.
@@RightWingRadioShow even if it's per month it's still crazy. You would need more than 100 years to make 250 mil and without spending anything from that salary
What was Greg’s title as of season 4?
I think it’s 200k per month. No way would Greg stick for only 200k per year
no no. Logan closest advisers, the ols schools were 1Million a year, greg 200k is reasonable.
U think Greg is making 2.4M a year?
What? No.
@@TheWeastBeast I mean there a reason why he’s the highest paid assistant in history lol. He also a Roy and him getting grossly overpaid as compared to competent professionals would make a lot of sense in show like succession.
@@ishdeephora5077 u r not a srs person if u think greg is making 2.4M a year. good lord lol
I can’t believe they won Succession
He never said a year, could be 200k a month
Tom also likely has no concept of what a secretary actually makes anyway.
Isnt 40k per year almost fast food level of salary? I am not from US but 40k seems to be absurd, considering his position it is almost equal to get fired
40k is above fast food level wages in most areas. 40k is 20 hour. US minimum wage is 7.25 federally, no state has a minimum wage of 20 hour. You cant live in Manhattan on 40k.
I think the pun here is that he's threatening him with 30k a month.
Roger ailes assistant made over 1 million a year.
Very happy Tom won. Despite its flaws he is least miserable person in the show (with the big exception of Greg)
Greg is such an innocent lovable goof. Someone I would be happy to see if my daughter brought him home.
He would rummage to fruition
Anyone know what happened to Greg’s inheritance? I know he was suing Greenpeace 😂
It's pocket change for them to give him that job and salary. When you're a billion you can afford the worlds smallest violin.
by month or year?
i think month
Year
annual
yes, Greg makes 2.4 million dollars a year as an exec assistant...
Momth....busted down to 20 or 30k. That means per month. Not working for 30k a year
200 k?! He practically gets peanuts! I mean, compared to the type of money he's "surrounded" by.
He doesnt really deserve even that
Funny how ppl are thinking it's 200k/year
Funny how everyone thinks it's 200k a year, it's obviously a MONTH. 40k/y doesn't even get you a janitor in NY...
I thought its by monthq
No way a 6'7 guy in finance is making 200k.
I could own a business in a poor country with 200k
America is a great place where some have so much money, they wipe their butts with $100 bills, while others work 10 hours cleaning toilets for the same $100.
I’d gladly take 200k a year to take shit from Tom.
hes definitely talking hyperbole id bet Greg is getting probably like a 100k minimum. which obviously for the class of people hes hanging with probably doesnt feel great
$200k in nyc is nothing. Greg had Kendall’s apartment which is huge.
Even in NYC $200k can go a long way for a single 20 something year old who has no rent and is probably expensing every meal to his company card. Only actual expense is the coke on election night.
