    Dmitry of Hardware Canucks just reviewed this Kimura mic today as well. He said more than once how he felt the need to EQ the treble of the mic to add a bit more clarity to it. Well, from your tests, it seems what he wanted was the Gramr mic sound out of the box.

    Nice comparison and I like how this vid gets down to business without the memes. I’ve got the kinera but with the Raptgo hook-x and my ear shape they keep falling out.

    What attracts me to the Gramr is that you retain a higher quality balanced cable with 4.4mm support

    I plan to get noise cancellation for the Kamura by plugging it into an Ankerwork m650 wireless mic, which also adds a mute button. The Antlion sounds MUCH better to your comparidon mic. Thsnks for the review.

    Is the Kimura tuned via any processing on the PC? Or is this sound test just out of the box?
    Heard another review of the Kimura that left me unimpressed.
    Honestly been looking for one that I can use with my phone, so tuned reviews aren't super helpful

    I am having problems with the Kinera Gramr just got it and the microphone barely picks up my voice at least on Xbox it picks up my voice when I’m talking really loud can’t soft talk because it won’t pick it up, on the other hand on phones it picks it up pretty well so I’m not so sure on what to do.

    • @TheBoyComeHome
      @TheBoyComeHome Год назад +1

      If that's happening in party chat on Xbox see if you can try turning off the new noise suppression setting that ads a noise gate and other features for background noise removal.

      @@TheBoyComeHome thanks for the suggestion it worked very slightly, I did try that before the comment I put up so I think it’s definitely an Xbox issue. I got another work around by using another headset with a sensitive mic with a different account on another controller.

    For anyone in the future, I wouldn't get the Gramr by Kinera have terrible quality issues. I've had issues with two sets from different sellers and decided to get a refund for both instead of trying again for a third time. The connections for the tips are bad quality it seems, does not slide in fully and has a crackling sound you need to play with. Both mics are different somehow where one lacks bass / treble/ volume while the other sounds like this video yet has a buzzing sound.
    It's annoying as this seemed the best one out the three reviewed here for true voice quality.
    Not worth the headaches

    If it wasn't for the flawed design of the Gramr connector I would have recommended it other the Kimura due to the better mic.
    I went instead to a more simpler solution, pick a smartphone friendly cable with mic included and boom problem solved.
