    I forgot to mention, many lessons & tabs for this song use a D chord for the entire verse, without switching to the C and D. You can surely play that way, if you wish. I prefer switching to the C & D simply to make the song a bit more musically interesting. The choice is yours, really.

    Like your version with both the slap on the accent and your chord noodling with the D chord, but to help Us learn it better you need to discuss the strum patterns you used, as they are not always easy to figure out by just watching.

    I drop the E string to a D and let it ring out ... sounds great like that cause we don’t have the bass and drums
