hi! i just found your channel as i’m starting my component 2 and realized that from the looks of my component 1 i may end up not doing well (my teacher predicted me for an A or high B but no one does well in art at my school, our highest grade last year was a high C) and i was wondering if I could have some feedback or pointers on the preps i already have or something like that :’) it’s fine if you don’t see this and i hope you are doing well! your work is amazing and i’ll definitely try to model my component 2 with more deliberate consideration of the assessment objectives. update: finished my component 2 and 8 hour exam in late october! your videos helped me a lot :) i think i could get like a B or something update 2: my results came in like half an hour ago and i got a B :') i'm satisfied but kinda bitter i didn't get an A, mostly because i'm hard on myself and my teachers were hyping me up for it. good luck to everyone taking the exams in the next years!! and thank you nameer for making these guides, they helped me a lot and i'm sure they'll keep helping so many frustrated art students :•)
MAn, after looking at your works, I realised that I can’t draw/paint at all, do I have what it takes do to art? Also, do I do all of those preps at school or home??? 😭
I'm about to take IGCSE(learning period) but there's no teachers nor classes for Art and Design in my country and , I want to pursue architecture I mean , I need that but I can't take art and design without coursework right? so maybe I should take that in A lv ?? I'm really lost rn
bad idea. A level is much more harder than O lvl and if you cant find teachers for Art in o level it is likely that you wont find one in A level either. maybe try learning art on your own but dont do O level without a qualified teacher. trust me you wouldnt love that
you can choose to include it or not; for me, i am not going to… but that means I’ll have to create much more pieces than my peers. If you’re still in year 10, I’d reccomend you to at least do one or two good ones while you can right now.

Did you use a mounting board for your prep boards? My biggest concern is what is a good board to mount up all of the artwork that won't be too heavy.
I aint using soft pastel id rather chock on a paint bottle then do them again 😭🙏

is it okay to use oil paint for the final piece of component 2 though its quite vulnurable and comparatively slow to dry🤔

Im very late but still sorta confused, do we choose our own topic to draw in the exam??
Technically, they give you 5 topics to choose from and u can choose one and work on that :)
