Just a tip Cameron, from an x tennis coach back in the 80 ties from Sweden...You are on the backfoot of your forehands quite a few times, and that makes you push the ball. With a faster pace, its essential with a quicker prep on the forehand. It makes you ready for different spins comming at you. Makes you hit with the weight of the body, instead of the just the arm and part of the shoulders. Lock the racket stance and use the upper body strenght and rotate into the ball when under pressure. Dont open the stance so quickly, it makes you loose power...look at the opponent...he keeps his weight over the ball most of the time and a compact rotation with his shoulders. Keep up the good work, i enjoy watching your videos and your progress. Regards Matt.
Yeah similar thoughts. Developing a better coneti chain on the fh will help deal with higher tempo balls. Feeling less rushed on the ball and allowing you to generate easier acceleration yourself. All about loading on the heel of back foot and not allowing shoulders and hips to go together. Hold shoulders longer and fighter hip first. Good luck on the journey.
Well said. I think he is trying match his opponents pace of shot. That's making him search for an extra split sec by staying on the back foot for longer.
I think you guys are spot on here. It’s a natural instinct that when someone plays a pace you are not comfortable with you want to lean back and play on the back foot to get a little bit more time and make you ‘feel safer’ on the shot. But in actual fact, as we can see in the video, it causes errors and weak shots. The times where I did get on the front foot and have my weight behind the ball I dominated the point. I’m big on trying to find the cause for the technical errors, rather than trying to fix each individual one. I think you are right Matt that if I just keep my weight over the ball more, the kinetic chain of the shot will happen naturally. Basically I just need to get comfortable being on the front foot and keeping me weight over the ball when playing at faster pace and trust in my ability. Thanks for the awesome feedback!
I am not a super high level player. I am about UTR 8 and 42yrs old. I could never match ur level. But I am super high level engineer and have seen life and know psychology . Just based on the video, may be the subtle hint from this coach is ... U need to prepare faster , leg load earlier n release wid the core being super relaxed in ur hands when playing these ultra high levels opponents? . U guys r already playing a v high quality game. But the difference is in ball tracking, trigger moves, prep n loading timing ... If that portion could be sped up, may be u won't feel the urge to tilt on the backfoot so much. Maybe it works , just a humble thought ?
@@shriramoka Very true. Keeping the weight over the ball and getting on the front foot is the fix. But the earlier prep is the ‘how’. Thanks so much for your input! 🙌
Bravo, specialmente quando hai cambiato e nn hai alzato piu la palla e l hai affrontato piu frontalmente!alzare la palla contro giocatori offensivi significa difendere tutta la partita!
Keep up the good work 👍🏻 I think the production value of your videos is really good, quality thumbnails and intro, smooth transitions, makes it very easy to watch. Thank you for all your hard work
Thank you so much. Sometimes I wonder if all of that is worth the effort. But seeing people enjoy the video makes it worthwhile. It’s also a lot of fun trying to improve both my tennis and the videos each time 😃
Was your ball heavy, ask the opponents? It looks soft for some reason. Maybe try RPM blast or something, hybrid-Gut etc. Your strokes looks awesome but just guessing from the video, the strings are giving no power
I’m switched to RPM Power at a low tension which seems to have helped a bit. Honestly I think I’m just not loose enough through the strokes sometimes which can lower speed and spin. I think if I can get a bit more relaxed acceleration it should hopefully correlate to a bit more pop.

I love your analytical approach to tennis. I resonate so much with that as a data analyst and tennis player
Thank you so much! I think if you understand the statistics and the numbers behind the game it will help play more confident and instinctual.

Amazing vid as per usual Cam! Keep it up!
Thank you! Really appreciate it 😃🙌
Dellavedova hits his forehands so close to his body - how does he deal with stretch return forehands or forehands on the run?
You’ve improved so much since your first episode
Thank you so much! Been working really hard over the last few months so it feels great to know that you can notice some improvements 😃
Excellent video again!
Thanks so much 🙌😃
For more power in your forehand you should put the right foot back and then when you hit put your right foot in the foreground
Love it 👌
Ayyy thanks so much 😃🙌

I would just say that just because he’s making the pathetic noises doesn’t mean that you have to
