EDIT: I made a mistake when mentioning the Michigan 'State' Wolverines.
I am fully aware that Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans are two different university teams. I don't know what happened there, must have been a slip of the tongue. (Gig 'em Aggies.)
Also, I'm fully aware that Seattle hasn't officially started playing so there are still technically 31 NHL teams. This WAS NOT a mistake - I'm pre-prepping this for future, as I guarantee some whiny bitch will say '"there's 32 teams" in a couple of seasons time. So I'm sticking with 32. Deal with it.
Let me know in the comments below what you think the nastiest rivalry in sports is!
Ninh Ly LSU vs Alabama
Definitely LSU vs. Alabama and the Pittsburgh Steelers against all other teams.
I assumed Alabama vs Auburn would be top of the bill?
Steelers vs Ravens for sure.
As a proud Buckeye, I’m glad you caught that mistake. Also glad that OSU v. Xichigan made the video. Well made as always.
Everyone vs Boston is honestly the most true statement about our sports
True dat!
I live in New England...I was at a Rush concert outside of Boston and someone had the AUDACITY to wear a Yankees windbreaker. The crowd instantly devolved into a YANKEES SUCK!!! chant until Geddy Lee came out on stage with the local "Beat LA" shirt that Celtics fans were wearing [the Celtics won the NBA Championship later that night against the Lakers] and then it became a FUCK LA!!! chant.
But it seems every NHL fan hates the Vancouver Canucks more than any other team.
@@Kylora2112 maybe before in the early 2010s but fair to say Bruins are still the most hated team in the league. Flames getting uo there with Tkachuk and company
Goalieplayer 36 yup except the brewers they don’t seem to mind the Red Sox bc we don’t play them much
But no one hates the New England Revs?
El Salvador vs Honduras in the late 60's was so bad that it resulted in a war
Yes, apparently so!
There's a great Sports Illustrated article on it, I'd reccomend reading it, it basically puts that to rest because the tensions between the two had already boiled over days prior, it was a massive coincidence
The football rivalry was so bad that it resulted in a war?
Oversimplified
Mordecai The Awesome BlueJay Yes! I saw this on oversimplified 😂
> "All 32 NHL teams and Gary Bettman"
> Team #32 doesn't even have a name yet
> But it's Gary
Yeah, that checks out
Pretty much!
Sam Green The 32nd team should be the Bettmans Cause he has ruined everything else so far
Linus Bertling no it’s the Seattle Kraken
@@stephengalvinjrtrue haha, its not confirmed yet dumbo
It’s confirmed seattle kraken
As an argentinian I have mixed feelings about the Boca vs River thing, on one side, there have been many extremely violent situations, many of them are honestly embarrasing, coming from both the players and the fans, on the other hand, WE'RE FINALLY THE NUMBER ONE ON SOMETHING I DON'T CARE IF IT'S ABOUT VIOLENCE!!
No, flaco. Es un motivo de orgullo que nos podamos desprender de las hipocresias y conformidades esclavizantes de la civilización moderna y volver a algo primordial que nos permita expresarnos como realmente somos.
You need to make a top 20
There are simply too many rivalries in sports to just limit to 5!
Yeah absolutely.
I think a part 2 might be on the cards.
Thanks bro.
@@NinhLyUK have Carlton blues vs Collingwood magpies
All blacks vs springboks
As an American I was kinda made that no football rivalries made the list, but the top three were either part of actual military conflict or basically gang wars disguised as sporting events so I guess I understand
I believe that in those top 3, there was a specific reason they don't like each other. And using sport was a way of getting one up over the other party.
Even if this wasn't about military or social tension, at most only ONE NFL rivalry will make it in top 10 since nobody outside the US follows NFL. Might as well as use MLB or NBA teams.
@@doncarloancelotti2256 Thats not true, many people in europe watch us sports.
@@ericspielmann7781 people forget about Canada they watch all the sports Americans watch
thats the thing, football (nfl not college) mainly consists of trash talk between the fans. We dont really blow up each others stadiums or anything luckily. But there is absolutely a lot of rivalries throughout the league that are worth looking at and some with a lot of history. For example, Washington (my team) and the Cowboys. College though can be a bit dangerous for sure especially once you get down South where football is the most important thing in life.
Just a warning, an American will say that it isn’t Michigan state wolverines because Michigan and Michigan state are two different universities. They’re just the Michigan wolverines while Michigan state is the Spartans. Still fantastic video. I couldn’t agree more
Whoops - that must have been a slip. I do understand that Michigan and Michigan State are two different universities. My bad.
Glad he just said the NHL in general. Being a Flyers fan and going to Pittsburgh was one of the most nerve wracking games I ever saw. Had $6 in change thrown at my head and that’s just what I picked up (losers got me a week of free laundry)
Imo Celtic vs Rangers should be here but good video nonetheless 👍🏻
It was an honorable mention at the end of the video.
Ah, I see you're one for the Old Firm Derby; now that's a series I would love to attend!
Thats 2 different sports
NBA Boston Celtics Rangers are an NHL team there are rangers in baseball as well
Dominic Parker but teams from those cities are HUGE rivals in the same sport. MLB Yankees Red Sox
- Yeah, Argentina is number one!
- But it's not a good Top 5.
- I don't care. NUMBER ONE! Take that Real Madrid-Barcelona!
Yes, they had to be number one at something!
never bro this rivalry is just a result of one war. Best players play here but not the fiercest
I would like to add a couple entries to the list:
1-Here in México we have the Monterey derby between Tigres and Rayados. Everytime they play they make a chaos out of the city, it looks as if protesters were revolting or something!
2-El Salvador and Honduras once went to war over a football (Soccer) Match! -amonst many other factors but it was there.
3-PAOK Salonika and Aris Salonika in Greece also gets quite brutal; in both Soccer and Basketball.
Yes, I heard that El Salvador and Honduras really didn't like each other.
#1 nastiest rivalry: when you play your brother's team in little league soccer when you were 9
Probably not in the same league as the ones in the video.
I thought that all the fires and violence I saw after Ohio State-Michigan games back when I lived in Columbus was bad until I saw the Boca Juniors-River Plate part of the video.
Yeah, that one is seriously nasty. I'd love to go, but I'd have to wear a completely neutral shirt with different colours (like Seattle Sounders) just in case.
man, great video! you could easily turn this into a continuing series
Thanks Rafael, I might just do that.
Ninh, you've outdone yourself with this video - you've given me some wild and dangerous rivalries I've never even considered! Thanks, Ninh Ly!
Appreciate that George, thanks!
I'll probably make a part 2 at some point. People seem to like this stuff.
I think you’re gonna have to do a part two.. Just saying. Good work, though!! 😉
Probably yeah! Thanks man!

India vs Pakistan at the 1999 World Cup in England. My Dad took me and my brother to Old Trafford for the match. I wore a Pakistan shirt and my brother wore an India shirt. The Pakistan and India fans kept stopping me and my brother to say hello and even take pictures with us as they couldn't get over the fact two English kids were there supporting opposite teams. That was such a good day.
I am amazed that you made a whole RUclips video about team rivalries and didn’t mention the battle of Alberta
From what I understand, there are two Battles of Alberta - Flames vs. Oilers in the NHL, and Stampeders vs. the Double E in the CFL, especially on Labour Day.
I love State of Origin. Best rugby besides the World Cup.
It's become soft in recent years. Bring back the fighting and brawling.
My sir, I became interested in the State of Origin series back in 2015, mostly due to a friend of mine who enjoys Rugby League - hence, I became interested in Rugby League, and especially State of Origin.
Am I the only person who says 'Ninh Explains' out loud before every video.
No, I do too.
But then again, I'm the one that makes the videos! :)
I do it when my girlfriend says something dumb.
"Everybody and Boston" that made me laugh.
It's funny because it's true.
What about Red Star and Partizan?
Yes
As a Canadian, I'm so proud pretty much every team in hockey is in a heated rivalry with teeth flying through the air. And yes Boston is very known for their grinding rough house physical play coupled with taunting making them the most hated team in the NHL.
It's one of the things that makes hockey so fun to watch!
"Most of the NHL" haha gotta love Hockey ❤
I'm all for a rivalry but when it's life or death that's not rugby/futbol/hockey/football anymore, it's crossed over into hunting.
Yeah, I'd have to agree with you on that one!
Tottenham Vs trophies
Ouch, that was a sick burn!
Nice one.
I love the use of Capcom music my friend.
Gotta love SFV music!
Great video ninh!!!!
Thanks bro, much appreciated!
Army vs Navy is pretty heated but it’s not super violent. Mostly because fans are alumni or relatives to alumni so they know that stabbing the others fans isn’t right. Mostly just verbal.
Yeah, I heard about Army vs Navy. It's cool watching the annual football games though. Those Navy helmets with the anchor on them are totally lit!
Awesome work
But I wish you could have show some old footage State of Origin fights
Those were brutal but awesome
Ah, yeah those were the days.
You actually said the turkish names right👏🏻
Thanks! I've been to Istanbul - those guys are serious!
Ninh Ly just letting you know from a Turkish person myself that you did not say is correctly. I don’t know how to say properly over text but try replacing the a’s with u’s.
Fair enough.
Honourable mention: Collingwood Magpies vs Carlton Blues
Meh, there are nastier rivalries in the world.
From what I've learned, whenever the Blues and the Maggies meet on the footy grounds, there will be fireworks - that includes Princes Park, Victoria Park (The Old Girl), Waverly, the Docklands and especially on the One Day in September at the MCG!
In the interest of full disclosure, I live in Tennessee - and I got interested in the footy in 1983, thanks to HSV-7 Melbourne, and ESPN; in my eyes, Louie the Lip and the Flying Doormat are Legends!
Nowadays they're like friends, back in the day they'd be a fight every time the two teams met
@@mohuuul2524 The whole AFL is alot tamer, back in 80's blokes would get into fights with the umpires.
I feel like hawthorn vs Essendon is more brutal
good video Ninh.
Thanks Orlando!
I thought Dodgers/Giants, but after seeing this, never mind. Lol
I know, right?
That's okay, Jonathan - I can respect the Dodgers and the Giants mixing it up, and it goes back many years, even back to when the Dodgers were still in Brooklyn and the Giants were still at the Polo Grounds.
Canadian Football League - Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger Cats. 3-4 games a year, dating back to 1873.
As an Argonauts fan, I feel great shame that the city of Toronto doesn't care about the Argonauts.
I can understand this rivalry, Steven - the two cities are within reach of each other, and are battling for bragging rights for the whole of Southern Ontario.
Back when the Argos had Condredge Holloway splitting time at QB with Joe Barnes, this most certainly made for great football.
Thanks for making this vid!
I don't want to start a rivalry myself but wasn't one of the people who suggested this.
Thanks man.
@@NinhLyUK Thats ok. You're a diamond Ninh thanks and much mate!
@@NinhLyUK Ah! I've got a video Idea! Top 10 sports controversies.
Pretty good idea, thanks!
North Carolina vs Duke. Two universities just eight miles away and have had an intense rivalry for decades and oftentimes both teams are highly ranked nationally.
Yes, so I've heard. You could have also had Louisville and Kentucky. I watched the documentary 'Red vs Blue' and that was pretty intense.
@@NinhLyUK The basketball rivalries in North Carolina are especially interesting since the four biggest schools have a four way rivalry. These are the only basketball games where I've seen visible blood outside of freak accidents in the NBA.
Carlton vs Collingwood in AFL can get pretty bad some years, 2 teams from the same city that is guranteed at least an all in brawl from the players or drunk fights resulting in one case, death it is the worst in australia
Yeah, I heard that one is pretty nasty for sure.
Also, the Hawthorn vs Essendon rivalry back in the 1980s, both of the teams met in a lot of grand finals back then and the players would literally try killing each other
TBF, most of the league is from Melbourne.
@@mohuuul2524 Yes, my friend, I remember those wars involving the Hawks and the Bombers - whether it was at Princes Park, Windy Hill Stadium, Waverly, the Docklands and especially on the One Day in September at the MCG, there would be fireworks, and most certainly a war!
I would say Brazil vs Argentina on football is also pretty nasty ( and historical). I remember that in 2014 World Cup everyone here was rooting for Germany on the final game because Argentina winning on Brazil would be an even worse humilliation than 7-1.
Some of our own team rivalries are pretty nasty too
And yet we did win in Brazil after all, Copa América is ours after that match in the Maracaná 💙🤍
Can't believe he didn't mention Edmonton vs Calgary in the NHL!
'Most of the NHL' requires no further explanation.
PS: I actually showed Edmonton vs Calgary.
Nicely done. Although it is just university of Michigan not Michigan State. ( as you noted)I love your stuff. Other honorable mentions: Brazil vs Argentina in soccer/football, Palmeiras vs Corinthians, Corinthians vs every other São Paulo team, Santos, São Paulo. All good stuff.

Well, FK Sarajevo vs Željeznićar in the city of Sarajevo is quite a rivalry
I've honestly never heard of that one.
@@NinhLyUK It's normal, two teams who have almost never took part in Champions League don't get too much attention
Nascar: Joe Gibbs Racing vs Penske Racing, in 2013 things really got heated up when Joey Lagano left Gibbs and went to Penske, since then all hell has broken loose
The Michigan Ohio St. rivalry sometimes called the game, can be the deciding factor for the Big Ten east division and has history. An example of this happened in 1969 when the Wolverines coached by Bo Schembechler upset the Buckeyes coached by Woody Hayes and this started a period know as the 10 year war
Yes, that is correct.
Hayes was also famous for stating that if his car ran out of gas while in “That State Up North” (as he referred to Michigan), he would push it all the way to the first gas station in Ohio so as not give the state any of his money.
Millwall vs Everyone should've been mentioned
Lmao
It's a common misconception that everyone hates Millwall.
Nobody actually hates the football team ... just their fans.
@@NinhLyUK i fucking hate millwall
We hate Millwall and we hate Millwall!!!
Germany also has great rivalries especially in football:
Schalke-Dortmund
Hannover-Braunschweig
Hamburg-Bremen
Köln-Gladbach and so on
Anyway, of course, you can't include every rivalry but still a great video
They do. An interestingly enough, England's biggest rivals are Germany, but Germany doesn't see it that way. They hate the Netherlands more.
@@NinhLyUK I wouldnt really say German hates Netherlands, they are more like the annoying little brother. I personally find Germany would rather beat england then netherlands
I'll add Bayern Munich vs. the other 17 Bundesliga teams
I grew up watching the Detroit-Colorado rivalry. It was crazy to see the pure hatred between the two sides. Hell, anytime a hockey fight happens, I'm there... it's the best part of the game.
Absolutely! I think the rivalry has died down in recent years though.
Great going in including the State of Origin. Only ever time I tune into the AFL
The State of Origin is pretty savage, although the last few have been tame.
You mean NRL
We have too Internacional Sport Clube Vs Grêmio from Porto Alegre-Brazil , is the most nastiest rivalries !
I believe so, yes.
Everyone and Boston 😂😂😂😭😭😭
Funny because it's true.
The battle of Alberta in hockey is insane, when Edmonton and Calgary faced off in the 2022 playoffs, it pretty much divided all of Alberta
Fun fact about the blue and gold on Boca juniors, Boca juniors were founded by a man from the Irish county, Tipperary. Tipperary wear blue and gold on gaa matches.
Cool fact!
balkans.
They hate each other for everything!
Ninh Ly no duh.. After all, they used to share a country, and then they all went to war with each other in the 90s!
@@NinhLyUK sport just spices things up
Is USA/Mexico here? Let's see
Edit: Fair enough, accusing the other team of peeing on your pitch isn't as bad as beating them up.
US doesn't care about soccer. Couldn't see that on the list if most people don't know about it.
@@harryasmith527 really I just forgot about Boca/River and Gala/Fener, because I'm from the USA so I'm directly involved
It is not really that bloody or heated to be fair. Now, Mexico vs Honduras, that's a fixture that always ends with broken bones and blood!
I wasn't aware that USA/Mexico was that severe of a sports rivalry?
@@NinhLyUK It can get tense, but not as tense as Gala/Fener and such
As much as love #5 and NHL vs Boston was a cheap way out. But the others especially number 1 is on point. I hope you make rivalries a series by sport!
I'll consider it. Thanks.

Heck no
@@czarii2422 care to offer a better one?
Yankees vs Red Sox, Celtics vs Lakers, Bruins vs Canadiens, etc
Dodgers and Giants
Czar Никола́й II Ohio state vs Michigan is more relevant now than those other extinct rivalries you mentioned
Definently Ohio and Michigan, their rivalry is older than the spot of American Football itself.
Meh, it's died down in recent years. Michigan better start actually winning games.
Army vs Navy has been around longer. Dating back to late 1800s. Not super violent though.
@@NinhLyUK Michigan wins in every sport except for football but they will start winning because Ohio states football program lost a few key components.

By the way great video ❤
Yes, I agree! Thanks.
Thank you for mentioning the state of origin.as an Aussie finally someone saying something about it cheers
Cheers bro!
Something worth noting: because Australia is just that dominant in Rugby League, State of Origin is notable for the best rugby league on the face of the gosh dang planet (and also fistfights).
Fighting in Hockey is like Lego Movie to me. I don't like it but I accept that it exists.
Each to their own I guess.
Haha yes, everybody hates the Bruins 😂😂😂😂
Hell yeah they do!
Ninh Ly I’m a bruins fan. It’s rough. I had a drunk dude from philly yell at me in Tampa Bay while I was wearing a Bruins shirt(at a resort). I was 11...
I don't know that much about the subject, but if you're planning too make a part two their are some pretty nasty AFL rivalries.
Yeah, I'll consider it for sure.
Auburn vs. Alabama. No flares or stabbing people in the streets, but someone killed a tree, so there's that.
A tree? That's kinda close?!
@@NinhLyUK ESPN did a documentary on it called "Roll Tide; War Eagle" which is worth checking out. I still think it's the craziest rivalry in American sports.
Russia vs USA in... Any sport? Maybe not nasty... But still heated with the global politics.
Absolutely. Politically charged games are the best sometimes!
Chuck in Collingwood and basically every other AFL team and you got yourself a disgusting rivalry. Collingwood and Carlton is probably the roughest.
Yeah, I think out of all of them, Collingwood vs Carlton is the fiercest.
Nice vid. The Bears and Packers Rivalry can get pretty nasty at times.
Probably not as nasty as the others mentioned on here, but yeah apparently they don't like each other.
@@NinhLyUK It's not as bad as the ones on this list though
I think you may have missed out on Red Star Belgrade vs Patizan Belgrade, often called "one of Europe's most bitter rivalries"
You watched the Copa90 documentary too, eh?
@@NinhLyUK Actually no, I hosted a foreign exchange student who was a Bosnian- Serb, and she told me about it (she also supported Red Star, and was very intense when the game came up)
There's a key difference between nasty rivalries and best rivalries. Sporting rivalries still need to maintain the sport. If the players aren't even playing and just trying to injure each other, that's not sport (or at least not the one being played) or if the fans are literally endangering lives you've taken the sport out of it. The best rivalries, to paraphrase a quote from Anchorman, the sides pure straight hate each other, but they never stop respecting one another.
Yes precisely. And this video covers the former not the latter. There's no respect when any of the teams face off against each other. 'Best rivalries' is a different story altogether.
Ninh a video on oldest sports rivalries, please.
And by the way how many sports do you follow??
Since you know a lot of sports well, I feel to ask you this question
( My guess 20 at least )
And Ninh by the way England won the third test match in Ashes.
It was a great match
Ummm, sure.
I follow a lot of them, way too many to count.
And yes, I glanced at the England game - didn't watch it in any great detail. Looked good from what I could see.
@@NinhLyUK
Ninh and are you less active on self help account or something?
Coz when I write any comments late response than in this account.
And yeah in The third test Ben Stokes played really well.
He won you the World Cup and now this match, Great, double delight.
@@NinhLyUK
So how do you keep track of it, like so many sports.🤔
How do you remember all the scores
I'm trying my best to do all three.
Great video. India vs Pakistan one is so true.
The SF Giants and the LA Dodgers baseball rivalry is another great example after the Bryan Stow and Jonathan Denver incidents several years ago. Another famous is one is anything involving the Egyptian Ultras (hooligans).
I’m a Aussie in the 2015 in Australia India vs Pakistan it was sold in Adelaide
I can believe that. Here in England, this year's world cup game between them - there were a million ticket applications, far more than any fixture.
Canada and the Soviet Union was also a very nasty Ice Hockey rivalry, especially the bench clearing brawl which occured at the 1987 WJIHC in Czechoslovakia
Where was Carlton vs Collingwood in the afl
Obviously not in the video.
I also consider the Serbia and Albania rivalry to be a nasty one, especially with that drone incident during a Euro 2016 qualifier in 2014, in where a brawl between the teams ensued causing the game to be abandoned.
Here to add that the Seattle Kraken and the Canucks could probably end up being a rivalry due to location.
NY Giants vs. Philidelphia Eagles have had a nasty rivialery for a long time with the Eagles' fans being the worst.
Meh, I'd argue that Dallas Philadelphia is worse. But still tame compared to what's on the list.
It is my understanding, Bill, that the Eagle faithful believe that when someone puts a man in a Giant uniform, that man thinks he knows everything.
God Bless Chuck Bednarik!
You obviously haven't seen Grey College vs Paul Roos and Paarl Boys High vs Paarl Gymnasium
I've never heard of those places so yes, I probably haven't seen it.
Rivalries in the US are huge but you can be a fan from an opposing team and watch and attend a game without being attacked and killed.
Exactly! Unlike some of these places.
People are animals. If I was an opossing team I would boycott any team that acted in that manner. Killing and hurting people over a child's game is ridiculous
Yes, it is ridiculous. Sadly, some fans take things way too seriously.
I would add a rivalry mainly from me and my father's opinion, University of Dayton and Wright State University in men's college basketball. It was known as the Gem City Jam. The two universities have not played a match of men's basketball for over 20 seasons, and the last match occurred back in 1997. University of Dayton (UD) still holds the record over Wright State (WSU). Not really nasty or anything, but a rivalry that we wish will return so we can prove to them how much we have improved over the last 20+ years.
Never really heard of that one ... but thanks!
Barcelona vs Real Madrid also has a political edge to this rivalry, since Barcelona is based in the very independent-minded Catalonia. Real Madrid is often seen as the government's team, being based in Madrid itself, compounded with the success and publicity of Los Blancos (the nickname of Real Madrid due to their distinct white jerseys). Therefore, this rivalry becomes very intense due to both teams staking their own regional (and national for the Catalans) pride on the line.
Yes, that's true.
I was actually in Barcelona two weeks ago ... those guys are still rioting!
You should do a video on the most bizarre incidents in American Football
Not a bad idea, thanks.
does Roma v Lazio in Rome counts (in soccer/football)??? heard they can go wild too..... I also not sure which soccer/football teams but I know certain team rivalry in Athens, Greece can go wild too
Yes, those two don't like each other for sure!
Almost all the derbies in Brazil end up in riots and shootings.
The brazilian football federation even considered to ban matches between teams of the same city.
In Mexico we are not that hardcore but games that often end in riots are Burros blancos vs Pumas CU (American foorball) and Irapuato vs León or Irapuato vs Querétaro (soccer).
Could it be more, but those are the most violent games that I can remember right now.
I don't know that for sure, so I'll take your word for it.
Wow, that's violent!
Ninh Ly I read some of the brazilian stuff on the BBC, but was some time ago.
But this thing could interest you too:
www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/09/brazil-club-mothers-stewards-stop-violence
Hey, that's an interesting idea!
Duke and North Carolina Basketball is pretty high up there as well, it's very much like Galatasaray V. Fenerbache where you have two very successful powerhouses who are actually very very close to one another as far as distance is concerned. As for college football, I would make the argument for Alabama and Auburn being among the nastiest, especially in recent years. The NFL's got Baltimore and Pittsburgh, a rivalry that goes back to when the Ravens were the original Cleveland Browns, the entire NFC East against each other, and throw in Chicago and Green Bay for good measure.
Yeah, I'll agree in some part with those.
you should have added unc and duke, students camp out from November to March to go to the game
Battle of Alberta gets pretty crazy
Sometimes, yeah.
@ninh ly what about Belgrade's Eternalderby Partizan vs Red Star? I would have probably put that number 1
It's pretty nasty, but I'd argue that Boca vs River is the worst of them all.
The Michigan State and University of Michigan games every year are always insane
Yeah for sure.
Doesn't really occur in ireland as such except maybe bohs and shamrock rovers. The most notable rivalries are dublin v kerry in gaelic football and munster v leinster in rugby ,but they are mostly lighthearted rivalries, there is a country v city bite to both rivalries ,although the rugby rivalry also has a class tinge to it and its more small cities than country v big city.
Yes, I've heard about those.
Part 2 with Roma / Lazio and Celtic/ Rangers?
Good call on state of origin. Best mates beat the hell out of each other.
Roma vs Lazio is pretty nasty. The old firm has gotten tamer in recent years.
Geelong Cats vs Hawthorn Hawks
West Coast Eagles vs Fremantle Dockers
Collingwood Magpies vs Carlton Blues
I’d add the Showdown to that list, Adelaide vs Port Adelaide. But yeah there are some good AFL rivalries
Yeah totally.
With Collingwood vs Carlton, there used to be a fight every time the two teams met but nowadays they're both fucking friends
Such a shame. Sports is more fun when there's bad blood between the teams.
Ireland vs Australia
International rules
Nice Sir
✨✨✨
Thank you Zahoor!
From someone originally from the state of Michigan, Michigan State's team is the Spartans, not the Wolverines. The Wolverines represent the University of Michigan, hence they are known simply as the Michigan Wolverines.
Yes, it was an oversight on my part.
Norwich City FC vs Ipswich Town FC is brutal
I've heard that, but you don't really hear anything about it on the news and such.
While the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party(U. of Georgia V U. of Florida) is pretty intense in its own right, I will admit it's really is kind of tame in comparison to this list. Honestly the best description is 150K people show up for a cocktail party, and a football game breaks out.
I've heard that there is a rivalry in Russia between Spartak Moscow and CSKA Moscow that could be about equal to the one in Argentina. I don't know if Dynamo Moscow is also involved in it, but if I'm not mistaken, that club is not as successful as the other two these days.
Yeah, I could have talked all day about football rivalries, but then it would just be a football rivalries video kinda the same as every other football channel.
Hopefully the last three calm down to a nice, safe, semi-friendly rivalry similar to that of the number 4 entry.
