In Assam, mandir ka prasad consists of soaked green moong and kaala chana/kabuli chana with a little bit of ginger, so I get why Vishal would say that salad tasted like prasad because surely it looked like it :)

It’s wild how much of a price swing there is between countries. That 2,500 rupee salmon dish sounded shocking to the team eating it. I’m a Canadian ex-pat living in the Turks and Caicos Islands and whenever I go out for dinner with friends, if I eat a salmon dish I can expect to pay about USD $59 for it, or 5,000 rupees. That’s not super expensive here. With drinks and tip, a meal at a nice restaurant here is often $200 a person, or 17,000 rupees. We do this at least twice a week.
