Late in 2017 there were reports of loss of X5 compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 after a DJI firmware upgrade. Is this still the case with the latest firmware?
Hey Cory, thanks for the video, however the lens works only for about 20 sec. once I start up the craft. Got the Inspire Pro with the latest firmware. Are you aware of DJI blocking that lens ? What Firmware have you on your unit?# Thank from Germany...
Thx for that. I assume it comes with the correct lens mount (I saw an International model advertised). And ND are so important with these cameras...is it any weight problem to add an ND? Truth be told I have yet to purchase either the osmo/inspire...but very interested...especially the osmo with the X5...and especially with this lens you describe will be to achieve a more shallow DOF for interviews and such. I shoot a lot of race cars in constant (fast) motion...I do wish they would have a 60p setting for the UHD. :( Finally, I believe the osmo pro kit can be adapted to the Inspire...does that make sense?
+Checkered Flag Films hmmm didn't think about ND, as I use the lens for photography mainly. I usually just stop down. I appreciate you wanting to adhere to a 180 degrees shutter, and therefore will want an ND on it. I would normally say the ND wouldn't add too much weight, but given how far it sits away from the pivot, it would be considerable. I will need you to purchase and weigh an ND, so I can account for it in your casting of the weight.
+Checkered Flag Films regarding the OSMO Pro. Yeah, you can buy an adaptor (or make one yourself out of an old X3 mounting plate for the inspire) I could walk you through that if required.
Regarding the shutter...I usually double the FPS...so I usually don't go as high as 180 shutter speed (since I shoot 30p or 60p)...usually with the cars fast motion...60 or 120 shutter speed works well...don't shoot at 24p unless i'm doing something theatrical. Yes, when I start putting it all together will definitely weight an average ND fyi. thx
Hello. When swiping the camera from left to right or from right to left at 119.88 FPS, the picture jerks are observed. What do you think is the problem?
@@coryjeacocke please check 🙏 please 🙏 Shoot a video on your INSPIRE 2 with a frequency of 119.88 FPS, just a quick swipe from your hands to the left 👈🏻 and to the right 👉 and again to the left and right lead your INSPIRE 2 and send me your file
You could try heavier metals like gold, platinum, Iridium, Plutonium or Uranium...... Well, OK, maybe not. It might be hard to machine, but Tungsten might do the trick.
Hi mate. I don't sell it, but I'm happy to make you one for cost price. I have made a mould to cast these weights. I'll ship to your address with Velcro ready to go, as soon as I have cast a couple. Hopefully this week. So I am not wasting my efforts sending these to people who will never use them, can you please send me some sort of confirmation that you have purchased the lens, or already have it? I'll be sure to hold my promise to send you the counter weight, so purchase with confidence. It must be the Panasonic 45-150mm f4.0-5.6, he same as in the video. Email the shipping address to: coryjeacocke@gmail.com Cheers.
Hi Cory, I can't believe I just saw the video now. I would love a set of these. What is your email? I would like a set to counter weight 35-100 and 45-150mm. Please let me know how I can pay you.
I love that. Brilliant solution
Bravo! Fine, ingenious idea, well done!
Very nice balancing... Very nice overall...
Nice review, and interesting demo for balancing a gimbal. What was the camera and Quadcopter you were using it on?
Thanks for testing this lens out! Do you have any video samples of this lens in action? Maybe a 180 pan around a tower or something like that.
Great video
I bought one of those too. A nice lens.
Super!! Why half moon vs thinner full moon shape wit same weight?
Hi Cory, can the counter mass be made scalable, so that we can still use the zooming function?
Does anyone know if this lens is compatible with DJI go app regarding focus and AF?

Cory I would love to acquire a set of weights if you are still making them.

draknilla hey mate. That's weird. What does it do after 20 sec?
Hey Cory, you mention 180 aussie for the 2.8 lens. Been looking and find them 600-800 U.S. range. Am I missing something? Thx
Nah sorry mate. You're looking at the wrong lens. This 35-100mm is only f4.0-5.6. The 2.8 is way too big, heavy and expensive.

I don’t quite understand what you’re asking.
