I started buying up gear and guns and knives when I was still living at home, watching nutnfancy videos, but deep down I didn't think I'd ever see any reason to use most of that gear for it's intended purpose in my lifetime. Now literally every day that goes by seems like one step closer to some manufactured catastrophe that will leave civilization in ruins. Nutn was right about a lot, but one thing especially is that all that gear is an investment. I might have looked silly to friends or even my parents buying some of that stuff, but when things started to get serious and you couldn't get a lot of stuff due to the panic buying, I felt like I was sitting pretty. Also a ton of things I bought have doubled or more in price over the last 15 years. It never goes bad, and above all, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and end up dead.
