Because it completely ruins message of the game. One of the main story elements of the game is that Templars and Assassins aren't as simple as black and white, or good vs evil. Each faction wants to protect humanity but each have different methods of achieving that goal. I'm assuming the the speech would have been added after Lee and Connor at the bar. That bar scene perfectly showed Assassins and Templar finally respecting each other as humans. But then you add a speech about how the assassin will achieve there goals come in....kills the vibe the game was building for 20+ hrs.
Bro what? It's a just a good speech and shows Connor's growth and how he did learn things aren't so black and white. It's a literal reflection of the events of the game and it definitely wouldn't have ruined the games message. I just gotta disagree
Hi, I think they didn’t have enough time to add this speech to the game, is a shame because it is a really good speech and is one of the reasons Connor is my favorite Assassin.
It's funny that his skills development progressed throughout the main missions, while his character development was during the Homestead's missions. Hence he got so much hate because lots of people just skip the Homestead's missions and focus on the main story.
He’s my favorite Assassin next to Ezio. I made sure to do the homestead missions since I didn’t want to finish the game too fast. He has the cleanest Assassin robes imo. Don’t get me started with his brutal fighting style and skills.
Another thing that makes him awesome is the guys is 6'2 and built as hell, now compare that to the 5 ft whatever British and have him sprinting full on towards you with a hatchet
Wow I've come to appreciate Connor's story more, I first played AC 3 when I was like 8 years old so I was really only playing for the action and entertainment value.
Here’s me thinking after playing Origins first and watching a few videos about the brotherhood, “A Native Assassin would be cool”. Being native myself, I wondered how it that would work , developing a story in my head. And they did make a native assassin. So cool. I want to make a short film about this stuff.
It’s the devs fault. Other than the final cutscene after Davenport missions and this speech, it’s all just “WHere is Charles Lee?! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬” “NO YOU YOU DONT UNDERSTAND!!! Now where is CHARLES LEE?!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬”
When you think about it you realize connor was used at every turn to help an order that would inevitably drive his people away which was the whole reason he took this path in the first place. It’s pretty sad actually
This mf - Kills bears with bare hands - Ripped af - Twists necks of the Brutes like twigs - Punches the ever loving daylights out of soldiers - Wrestles with wild moose and wins - Kills wolves in one hit - Tanks two cannon shots from a ship and keeps going - Does boss fights when bleeding profusely - Survives executioner's noose despite hanging - Runs across and entire army of Brits and does not get shot at all - Lifts up his enemies with a mere flick of wrist when doing running assassination - hangs bitches from clotheslines via rope darts and chokes them to death - turns anything into a weapon - pierces two adult guys with a single bayonet - takes on 100+ enemies and kills them all without getting hit - man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will - destroys entire British forts alone - learns to captain a ship and becomes the scourge of the East Coast - Guardian of Freedom and Liberty - protects his loved ones and neighbors with everything he has - loved by his entire community - single handedly rebirths the American Brotherhood - destroys all American Templars to the last man - The unsung father of the United States of America Ladies and Gentlemen, Connor Fucking Kenway. i love how i start playing ac3 in September 2023, and now everything is about Connor XD anyway its a boi who has learn everything by himself, not like us, with parents and school
I think Connor is particularly impressive while also being a bit absurd given the age he accomplished his feats he completed the captain kid treasure hunt when he was 20 those missions were big adventures so it makes me wonder how much we didn't see and I believe he was 14-15 during the Boston sequence ezio i believe was the second youngest at 17 when he gets the robes
I love Assassins Creed games, they're so cool and fun and actually teach history, especially this one which includes Indigenous people! Is this Assassins Creed 3
As I was playing this game, I wished so badly that Connor and his father could see eye to eye, in Connors review, of course, so I may be bias. but both deeply needed each other
Connor's character could have been so good, instead thanks to the poor writing the player doesn't feel any emotional connection to him like we did with Ezio. It would have been great to see him overcome his rebellious teen attitude, maybe involving an emotional speech with Achilles on his death bed. It's really sad how shallow he was written.
I don't really see him as shallow, I see him as simple. Not in an insulting way, he's just very pragmatic and says what's on his mind without mincing words. Maybe he's a little idealistic and naive, but the world would probably be a better place if more people were tbh. He's also respectful of other's cultures, accepting of all people who live different lifestyles, and is fiercely loyal, even if that loyalty was misplaced in Washington.
I don't see him as shallow either he's simple but he does learn especially by the end of the game. He struggled for an ideal that wasn't in the cards for him the brotherhood or the people and learned that the world isn't so black and white. Even early on he believes it deep down when confronting sam adams about owning a slave while preaching liberty, his quote about people should be equal and free and not in turns sticks with me to this day. His deleted speech reflects how despite everything he did for over a decade had been perverted and the people he fought for removed his people and would continue to do so, he still has hope for the future to change over time. His perseverance is on another level compared to the other protagonists is on another level.
The one thing that pissed me off abt AC3 is that you played as a Templar until the sequence where you actually play as Connor, I didn’t really like that, the devs could’ve made the sequences you played as Haytham the Prologue of the game along with the Opera at the start then Sequence one you play as Connor
Stoic is a pretty common Native trait imo lol I think it fits his character perfectly, doesn’t speak much but when he does it’s straightforward & blunt which might be kind of boring sometimes. Being Native myself I think that’s just how we are lol
Connor‘s final speech is so good. Never understood why they deleted it.

My guess is that Connor's story isn't finished.

@@BrandonNicholasShinobi Facts, Ac2 and Ac3 are my favorites.

Also some say he is 6,4 but IDK but him being ripped is also terrifying
Thing is, the assassins failed to cut the rope in the debatably canon/non-canon book forsaken where Haytham threw a knife to save connor.
Wow I've come to appreciate Connor's story more, I first played AC 3 when I was like 8 years old so I was really only playing for the action and entertainment value.
Connor is such a good character

Imo he was such a great character. Definitely better than the majority of characters people over hype like Shay.
13 years old my ass. That mf gotta be 32 y/o, got 3 kids and 80k in debt. Aint no way he was 13😭
13 when he saw his first vision from the isu
13 after the first time skip as a kid.
He was 28 by the end of the game
Underrated character
This is the first time I’ve heard his final speech and it just reassures my mind y Connor is my favorite Assassin of the series🥲
Conner’s story is good I like his skills ❤
