To be 100% honest with you this is my first encounter with your name. Nice to meet you, though! Only person of those you mentioned that I’ve really interacted with is Theo.
Wait, Minecraft is from Sweden, Ikea is from Sweden, And this videa is about an infinite labyrinth... Im beginning to see a pattern here Im not so sure i like.
I’ve made a much smaller version of this before, with and without portals, each time I used smooth sandstone for the walls, I bet you should do the same, considering that smooth sandstone looks disturbingly like the backrooms wall paper. Just a suggestion tho. Also really good vid
Don’t you hate it when RUclips recommends a Video to you that you enjoy only to find out it was made 3 hours ago now you have to stick around for a week or something for the content creator to drop the part two yeah mee too

Make a sequel and fill it with traps as well (standard trapdoors, fire, etc.) or Euclidean visual tricks (upside-down rooms, rooms that make you smaller etc)

I have an idea! An infinite hallway that seems to become more dangerous and creepy the further you go and using the large and small portals, you can make a really strange and creepy atmosphere including some of the Mutant and Infection mods. add some really unsettling ambiance and you have a dangerous and horror style hallway

Challenge Mumbo Jumbo to make a even more complex maze and you two could have an aMAZING time going back and forth, employ as many tricks, form dimensional doors and others.
I so desperately wish this could be done on bedrock/xbox edition, I'd have a great time messing with my pals with this! This is probably the best take I've seen done on a Minecraft Backrooms, well done!
I did it very similar to what you did, but to make it more difficult, I put several floors. each floor was 4 blocks high + 1 floor block, that was left with the expression 4(n) + 1 blocks per floor. in a current world the maximum height is 319 and the minimum is -64 (0 counts as a number so it's an extra block), which gives us a maximum of 384 blocks. using the expression 4(n) + 1... I managed to make 95 floors. After that, i made several structures of 95 floors, until I got a space more or less equal to what it is supposed to be really long. According to the internet, the backrooms are 90,000km in diameter (that's 2.2 turns in a sphere the size of the earth). If each block were 1 meter x 1 meter. I would have to make 90 million diameter blocks per floor the problem is that the world of minecraft is from 30,000,000 to -30,000,000 as a limit, so in total there are 60 million diameter blocks in minecraft, so let's make it smaller.. . 90,000 blocks in diameter per floor. so it's 300 x 300 blocks per floor. then, out of 60 million blocks, there is room for one tower every 300 blocks, so in total there are room for 4 million towers of 95 floors each. CONCLUSION: I made a map with 380 million backroom floors with an autogenerator of infinite rooms.
Tip for making sure logs are all synced up/going the correct direction: use the fill command and replace the logs with themselves. Also, love that you designed Level 0 of the backrooms. Now to make a sequel designed around level 1: Which looks like a warehouse/unfinished building or whatever. Look it up. The backrooms have an infinite amount of levels with different themes for each.
1:08 “I know. I’m addicted to spruce. I’m not afraid to admit it...” Don’t worry mate! I’m addicted to spruce too! It’s the more rustic looking of the woods in my opinion....it also makes the best forests aside from the redwoods....
5:22 it would have been especially cool if you put the backroom maze underground, and somehow replicated this effect with a random patch of grass, so you just glitch through the ground and fall into the backrooms
Walls should be yellow concrete or yellow terracotta ("the madness of mono-yellow"), and the floors should be wool or at least carpeted ("the stink of old moist carpet"). Pretty impossible to simulate "the endless noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz" in-game, unless you put space inside the walls and fill it with bees or something, but you did really well on that part in editing the video.
I think it’d be awesome if you added subtle landmarks that players would accidentally revisit multiple times. Things like long straight hallways with multiple exits, larger rooms, or maybe occasional statues, desks or benches. It’d make players feel crazy ending up in the same spot a dozen times, while also making it easier to make a mental map of the maze.
Ya know, I’ve been wondering why all of these videos about non-Euclidean Minecraft seemed so nostalgic to me, and then I got recommended a JesperTheEnd video and it all made sense. This mod is just one big Jesper map.
A suggestion i have for if you make another one is to add more rooms and portals that lead somewhere else to the edges of the build so that you can never make out any defined edge or end, just more dead ends and rooms.
Quick tip: clone makes the cloned content appear in the lowest coordinate set, like the 0,0,0 or in the f3 menu the part where the lines intersect. Learned this through another channel that makes really cool command videos
This gave me an idea You could make a dungeon crawler kind of map using this idea! Im pretty sure theres a way to make rooms regen when you enter a portal going out and switch around the rooms... I'd love to see more of this mod and maybe try it out myself
Build a somewhat straightforward building, but then add some vents which have no foot in reality and are a really confusing way to get around the main building
If you're ever lost in a Euclidean maze, simply hug one side wall and follow it. worst case scenario, you hit every dead end along the way, but you are guaranteed to eventually find the exit. I have no idea if the same applies to non-euclidean mazes.
Two things you should use redstone lamps and set them in a loop to flicker, just in every other other room, and you should use concrete or some other white like or yellow like block to really help with the loop feeling
