Players will constantly say "i dont see the point in investing in my gear" while watching players who do not only make far more money then they do but also just generally have a better time while complaining everything is to expensive. Originally I liked to invest in my gear for the soul reason of doing more damage but playing with better players Ive watched them have 100s of millions of meseta to buy all the fashion they want and it comes mostly from being able to efficiently farm so they dont have to break the wallets every time Sega releases a new bikini. You dont have to break the bank but a bit of effort goes a VERY long way.

It is a time thing more than gear. For us that only play maybe a couple hours a day and are FTP yeah we aren't getting money like that and never will, most those people likely make their money off selling those bikinis that they scratched for, one of the best farming methods is PSE burst farming Dext base once you can one shot almost all the weaker mobs more potency is redundant.

@@KronoKatastrophy I have to disagree.But i probably have the worst luck with drops. Literally topped out my gear and grinded 7 to 10 hours a day on day 1 till around lvl 40 or 50 with alliance members since day 1. Never received a good drop. To be honest I never even got a fixa over 2 or 3 bo matter how much I stacked rdr. I then sold all my gear and just started playing shop and I now have around 8 billion liquid meseta and probably close to a billion if I sold my storage to buy w.e I want. But I did see everyone in my party and alliance getting good drops. Whatever works for some may not work for others.

Idm spending on gear. The problem Im afraid of is that once Im nearly done with that piece of gear, new gear tier would come out & make it obsolete.
It is inevitable. I used to min-max, now I use hand-out gear. I’m done putting up with Seger’s BS gear progression.

@keroppi Actually Potency can reach over 279.8 I'm Currently at 283.6 with a floor of 66.8. Emiko's equipment set actually has a Grand dread keeper and 2 extra triyal as where I don't have dread at all and 2 triyals on all my armor. It can reach above 283.6 but the dominas on my or emikos gear would have to be taken off and loose a good amount of floor.

I still have not put the new giga, ac support capsules and glad soul on my armor cuz i am waiting to see if Sega going to add ex augments on the armors.
You also need to do DQ 2 as well because it needs those capsules as well… that’s info for people that don’t actually read the description of the capsule requirements.
This is all imma say. Before I had min/max gear I never seen not 1 rare drop. Once I did, wingards started dropping like crazy early. I dropped like 4 on that first big RDR boost campaign even on runs I would forget food/mag. I’ve literally lost count after that.
Right upgrade all your great right now even tho it’s all about to be irrelevant!
They’re giving us new armors pretty soon so may as well save some for that. If you invest in everything now you won’t have anything for when the new stuff comes. Gear moves to fast for anyone but whales to have bis augments on everything all the time. So just… do what you can.
If you are using full LC capsules then will that matter? If you always have mindset of, they are giving us something new and refrain from upgrading, you are making yourself miserable by doing contents at a much lower efficiency.
Instead, why not recycle your old gear and turn them into duel quest gears instead? Even if this is not the case, you would not lose much because you can turn what you have as enhance fodder for the next gear anyway.
@@delightXD it’s all about timing in this game they put out an event to upgrade your gear then one to two weeks after it ends is when the new armors will come. I’m deff not using all lc caps on everything and am comfortable enough with my current build to do all the duel quests and Solus r2.
If you’re not at about that point I agree with you upgrading is necessary to not fall behind. If you are tho then upgrading further isn’t going to do you much good and will just be a waste of money/ augments that could be saved for when new gear drops.

I Love how accessable Liuxtra weapons are, they only need lv50 to equip, and they perform actually better than Argenku even without fixa, against non seasonal enemy (although not by much).
It is a good series for new or returning players to catch up.
I really like how accessible Eredim is, we get so many of them to a point fixa 5 Eredim is very affordable and they are strong enough for all contents.
I don't think most people should aim for BiS. There is no content that really requires BiS, unless you are farming contents that focus on efficiency, or you are doing speedrun contents.
That being said, I have seen far more players saying, "you do not need BiS, or I am casual", as an excuse. They join end game contents like rank 2 Solus with minimum gear possible, like people still doing Solus rank 2 with 9 star weapons with fixa 1 and full LC augments.
They end up failing over and over again. They thought they can be cheap to others, hopefully get someone else with BiS to carry them so they eventually can reap the reward as well, but this mentality is just really really bad.
Eredim with fixa 5 cost around 1M, it is much stronger than what they are using. They can use EX, full LC and Triyals, that is fine. If they have the luxury to buy an anaddi, that would be great.
People can upgrade to budget gears easily and actually contribute to the content, rather than doing little work to a point their pure existence would scale the enemy HP more than the damage they can do, making them essentially doing negative damage to bosses (yes in NGS, enemy HP scales with number of players present).
I was going to write this but then saw your post. Can't possibly recommend enough the seasonal weapons or Eredims to people who don't want to upgrade their gear.
@@lnk2past515 Yes people should try to get a fixa on it. It is a weak weapon compared to eredim but people may use them until enhance event where they get 1/4 of upgrade cost.
So as a casual returning player (my highest was Slayer at 45 until 2 weeks ago) I have absolutely no idea what content is hard, what content to avoid, what to gear up for, how to gear up etc etc. So chances are I will accidentally join something I shouldn't and slow down a group but it's not on purpose.
I was quite happy with getting a couple of +90 Eridium weapons and a potency of 180 😅 I just didn't know I was so far behind the gearing curve and it will take me time to learn how to catch up. That's basically the same situation for every other casual I have spoken with.
So don't be too angry if we slow you down, not all of us are lazy / useless but still in the process of learning 😊
@@Dan-360 I would say just avoid Solus Rank 2 and maaaaybe DFD, but otherwise you're good! Until you gear up you'll slow things down, and that's OK if temporary. Some upgrades will be quicker, others not so much.
Definitely play the LTQ and LUQ as much as you can, you'll get tons of good stuff from those quests. Having an Eredim at +90 is a great start, next up is getting armors to +81. Having a 7th slot on all 3 armors is HUGE, and super important. For that reason the starter Eftistants you get at level 65 are great because they are already +90. You'll eventually want Eineas, but grinding them to +81 will take patience if you're playing casually.
Next up is upgrading some of the augments. You basically want everything to give 3.5% potency or more, with more being better and 3.0% filling when needed.
3x EX, Halphinale LC, Gladia Soul LC, Gigas Maste LC, Xx Triyal are great for your Eredim. Also make sure you have its potential unlocked to level 6 when you have the resources to do so!
For armors, Eftistants come fully augmented, but you'll want to drop the Dreadkeeper LC and Domina LC since they have terrible potency. Try replacing with Triyals and/or Precision IV.
With the LTQ and LUQ dropping Halphinale and Gigas Maste you can throw those on, or try grinding to craft Lux Halphinale or Glan Gigas Maste (more work to do these though).
Doing all of this might take a few days to get all the materials but it's extremely doable! Throw in food buffa, mag buffs, etc. and you'll be hitting much harder! Hope this helps!
Also aim to get Fixa Termina on your Eredim, as a Slayer it'll be your best option

Sega needs to meet us halfway and make upgrading weapons less tedious, annoying, and costly. I've been here since the beginning and this is the worst I've felt about upgrading so far.
I noticed I focus more on class-based upgrades, like tech arts, add-on skills, etc than gear based. It could be because they are timeless.
I do have to agree that with Upgrading gear with the ease of Dext Base farming being a thing, BUT the main thing is just time. If a person had work and only had some little time, it really isn't as easy as it seems. I had to work literally every single day and just only had one break day and a full shift ahead the next day. Ain't got time EVEN in weekends. So yeah it depends.
Where do you get the Gladia Soul from though? I don't have any of those or the capsules needed to craft it. I keep hearing to upgrade my gear and run DQ for big money capsules. But I cleared DQ5 and all I got was a handful of 1star caps that don't appear to be worth anything.

Emiko does a potency build that has slightly lower potency floor for that potency, that is why you see a higher potency number. People going deft build will have lower potency in exchange for higher potency floor.

People act like their time isn't valuable. I don't need to be min/maxed 100% of the time, but being in the top 95% goes a long way to saving time. Was in a 14min MDFA yesterday and my face melted.
I feel like the difference between a whale and a casual player is really starting to show lol. I'm at 228% and I think that's enough for now since augment protections are time-gated.
I hope they add LC versions of these endgame augments already. It would be a nice excuse to run Leciel again
It is not too bad really. You can totally get BiS even if you are F2P if you play the game smartly.
People need to find a good balance between how much they spend for gears and how much they get out of it.
Usually people nearly not spending at all end up hurting themselves much much more than going for a budget build.
@@delightXDyeah, BiS augments are pretty accessible now thanks to the Aegis UQ drops. I just wish we didn't have to gamble so much for the augments to stick lol
Also yeah, there's lots of people that don't invest into their gear in the slightest. Argenkul+Eftistant everywhere despite Eredim and Einea being incredibly common drops lol
I'm failing to understand why you are using your capsules now and not at lv.100 I have all mine saved for later I'm not touching them til then they give you very good weapons for free there is no real need to upgrade if you have skill at this game I basically can't take damage with hunter hold charge for parry it all you take 0%

Man l had experienced it last year after i put everything expensive on my gears and people around me or in the contents they were still using the seasonal or free gears . Nah i said no more next time 😂😂😂😂

Jealous of all them augment item protections. Do you feel Sega nerfed their appearence rate on the treasure shop? I only see them twice a month now with 3 refreshes a day.

Yup kero bro, I agreed that potency is multiplicative. Even a small amount of 0.5% potency increase, can actually gave you quite a good amount of potency boost. So yup, please invest in your gear now and it would definitely be beneficial for you when new content comes, yus!
I'm a budget casual rocking mostly LC capsules for a woping like 160% or so potency seeing that the top of the line is over 100% higher is crazy to me.
You need to open up your 7th augment slot on all your gear. Grab an eredim weapon, keep the EX Augs and slap 3 LC or triyal augments on them. Fixa abandac and fatale level 5 are going for dirt cheap for some eredim weapons on the personal shop right now. As someone who used to be super casual I promise it’s not hard at all to get over 200%

How do we farm the components?
kero always makes augment gambling look like a piece of cake. i recently lost 20 grand dreads in a row gambling at 85% each time then a further 13 at ~50%. all in a row. if it wasn't for getting the gigas caps I would have quit the game.
I still don't see any use for min/maxing in this game. The content/rewards are just not worth the effort.

It's about saving time. Even if you aren't 100% min/maxed (which is obviously much much much harder to achieve), upgrading your gear saves you (and others!) time. Old/free gear is absolutely enough to clear content, but upgraded gear makes you less of a time-liability.

Just got to 201% potency. Feels like that’s good enough for a free to play. I’d rather spend my money on first decedents cause you can literally pay for what you want and have fun leveling and building. While ngs requires you to spend money, to then make in game money, to gamble on capsules going through or failing. I’ve been on copuim defending this game but it’s getting a little stale.
Giga maste and halpinale getting cheap making easy to farm everyone trying hard to farm to get those augs and now getting now easy.

You can acquire one from the item trader for 40 SG recycle badges. You can do that once a month I believe

@@derekfromyt2 I started NGS from the beginning, never use another gear than the ones gave by Sega and I don't have any problems. I mainly focus on grinding N-Meseta for cosmetics. :/
And why upgrading gear when the maximum level isn't the true maximum level ?

Lvl all of your units & weapon to 90, use EX augments and Addi augments and that will easily boost you well over 200% to 230%+. The 7th slot on our gear is incredibly powerful and allows us to reach high potency with ease, even if you only use them for Mega Triyal.
Easy way to do it... get you wep at lv 90.. add 3 of the ex augments and add triyal, gigas maste lc, halphinale lv and gladia soul lc. Now, get your armors to lv 81 add halphinale lc, gigas maste lc ,gladia soul lc , tripable II and triyals.. boom cheap 205%

how does f2p keep you stuck on low augments? they are all free. I farmed 2 grand gladia souls, 3 glan gigas and a lux halphinale today alone. there is no reason why you would have a 3 potency on any gear with LC and triyal (which are all free) unless it's for floor.
@@somfplease they confuse f2p with very casual player. Which isn’t an issue but it’s sounds like a cope for no reason. You’re just not a super active player and that’s ok.

@@Donionring31they are, but they also sacrifice everything else for more damage.
Each triyal gives 3.5% potency, but one reduces your pp by 5, the other your damage resistance by 5% and the other your down resistance by 50%. And they all stack on each other.
They are used by players who only care about dps and can parry everything. Giving that you're a casual I suggest only using Spiro triyal, which is the one that decreases your ppand mega triyal if possible. But is nearly impossible to find party for aelio intruders nowadays. (I'm from ship4 BTW).

I'm at 165% potency and doing just fine.
Of course, unless you are aiming to regularly clear Ultra difficulty quest(20SG weekly btw) there's no point on increasing your potency other than improving clear time.
12 players will eventually clear UQ within 1 hr and theres no risk with other casual quest.
For me i like to fight challenging enemy, so,
high potency is a must if you want to have a chance in completing Ultra hard quest.
And since we'll have Masquerader fight in December, thats another reason (at least for me) to get higher potency.
