When I was in university, I got so many international friends and we always speak English.. now since I left university people around me don't use English anymore so I'm afraid I'll lose this ability to speak like before. Thanks for your video I've learned so many things especially the accent. The only problem is I need someone who fluent in English to speak with me like in the university before, so I'll have more confident when speaking. I have family from Washington D C and New Zealand. Last we met in 2014. All of them use English and I hope I can meet them again one day and able to speak American accent :-)

I am 12 years old and I come from the Netherlands. We have already learned English in our country when I was about 5-6 years old So that I can understand and speak English reasonably well. But when the teachers explain it you always hear the Dutch accent I am happy that these kinds of videos are being made because I really want to learn more English💖💖
From what I’ve seen of Dutch, it’s very similar to English. Both languages have significant German and French influences, so I imagine it would be fairly easy (comparatively) to learn English for a Dutch speaker, and vice versa. Native English speaker btw
Also my favourite Dutch word, is Oliphant, it just sounds so frickin adorable
@@australiananarchist480 yes😂 it's a adorable word😂 do you live in the USA?
@@Izabelagaby I live in Australia, and so speak Australian English, specifically the ACT variant. Each state has certain differences that can be difficult to pick up unless you live in Australia, as well as the rural and urban differences. The Australian news accent is also completely different from any accent we have in regular conversations
One big tell, is the long vs short a. I use short, ‘sharper’ As in words like “command”, “chance”, or “dance” while South Australians use long, ‘softer’ As, like British English tends to use
@@australiananarchist480 i love Australia♥️♥️ My teacher comes from there. She gives very good English lessons. I like that accent

Okay here are some tips to help you learn english or catch on to it as a beginner:
~ listen to audio books, watch movies or listen to songs that are in english. Try to read, and sing with the other person's voice. Even try writing too, it would really help
~ try to speaking it out loud or in your mind, even if its embarrassing try practicing it with someone or on your own
~ try to repeat how people pronounce words so you can practice on your pronunciation.
~try reading books, magazines, articles, signs, or anything so you can get a feel for it
~ write down important words you will need so you dont forget them!
~Practice using and saying the vowels!
(A, E, I, O, U and sometime Y)
~Dont stress and have fun, you got this and i hope this helped you out :)
Listening to rap (especially Eminem) helped me a ton with vocabulary and 😺 pronounciation .
pls continue sharing this tips , helped me a lot
