Ok, so this video I was experiencing some seriously disgusting frame drops. I talked a bit about it last video and one of you @b.w.6919 commented trying to help me out with it and there was actually a bug where setting your friends list to private in Steam can destroy your frames like...what?! It didn't fix anything for me but I did see real evidence of that being an issue for others and it's just absolutely insane.
Anyways, all that to say that user recommended Lossless Scaling a program on Steam for $5!!! and I can finally experience my 144hz monitor again! You'll see it in a couple videos from now! Not the one after this but the one after the next lol. Stay tuned and subscribe for the results!!

I'm starting to suspect the performance issues on PC could be related to Nvidia's reliance on DLSS in recent years and low Vram.
I run a 6800xt Red Devil paired with a 5900x and I never drop below my TV's maximum 60fps on max settings at 4k even with ridiculous numbers of enemies on-screen.
Meanwhile on my 1440p monitor I still max out the frame rate at 144fps while playing.
The most I saw it drop was to around 100fps when recording.
To be fair I have yet to record a game when playing in 4k on my TV so I may have a more significant drop in performance in that situation.
Edit: I just saw you stated you're running a 1000 series, my bad.
I do have friends with 4000 series RTX cards complaining of huge frame drops in recent patches as well.
Yeah I've been thinking about moving back to AMD cards. I used to run one way back in the day like a radeon hd 6850 or something and tbh it ran great but the 1080 also seems to run great but AMD cards seem to be way more budget friendly so I'll just keep looking around. I do think Nvidia is doing weird stuff given how many issues I've been having lately

I got a gtx 1080. I know it's time for an upgrade lol I just gotta save up
