I would love to believe he is secretly OP lore-wise too. His bad luck is just a way to temporarily lock/suppress whatever power he has within. He has this shounen protagonist vibe.

What if we are looking at Bennett’s luck from wrong perspective? As Aster said, no one died in company of Bennett, what if they should have to? What if “misfortune” adventures of Bennett prevents more severe fates? For example in Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event, team got hit by avalanche, damn AVALANCHE and no one got hurt, no one. Not so unlucky if I may say so.

What I found interesting about Bennett's origin is who he shares it with; Razor.
Both of them are orphans of unknown origin. The adventurers took Bennett while Andrius picked up Razor.
Either this is a coincidence or they have some kind of relation the story has yet to reveal, we don't know. If it isn't a coincidence, that opens up a whooooole lot of other questions.

After the Weinlesefest event, it's been disproved that Bennett has any shared origin with Razor. However, we still don't know much about Bennett himself. But since mihoyo has been spending the last few patches exploring the lore of the Genshin cast, it'll only be about time before the story puts a highlight on Bennett and his past.

Despite his bad luck, Bennett also gets some real friend, Fishl, Barbara, Razor, Klee and traveler. All of them are strong enough to protect themselves from Bennett's bad luck. That means after many years, only the strong person is standing beside Bennett and Benny Team will be the strongest team on Teyvat. Bennett deserves this, thanks to his optimistic and never give up.
I recently found out that Bennett's official birthday is on leap day, February 29th. Poor guy, no wonder his constellation is Rota Calamitas, the Wheel of Misfortune. Bennett raises some interesting questions about Free Will versus Determinism, especially given how it is said the lives of Teyvat's inhabitants are preordained. For this reason, I think it would be interesting to see Benny Boy interact with Mona. Her line about misfortune befalling people when their stars don't follow their path has me curious about our little Pyro Archon's circumstances.
And because it only comes on leap years his birday mail on a normal year comes on my birthday

The kid was brave, capable, as well as a good source of positive energy, and even helped retrieve someone from the mountains.
Bennett also has major connections to Natlan that will probably come into play later. It's implied he came the Mare Jivari and looks suspiciously like the character in the Teyvat trailer that represented Natlan. I think Teyvationary did a very interesting theory video about this.

So, ever since I did the Bennett hangout, I've been thinking: is there a a way to help him ?
Like if we equipped him with the lucky dog artifacts set, would it help ?
If we told Bennett "go look for radishes and cabbages" would he actually find treasures ?
After everything he's been through yet he survived and being himself I'll say he is very luck
If you’re covering Liyue I have some theories about Qiqi
I imagine/theorise Qiqi is actually super powerful, she has a vision and adepti power and even has an ‘ancient sword art’ and while she may not hit the hardest she just won’t die because of her regenerative capabilities.
Qiqi is also stated to enter a ‘Beserk’ like rage state during combat, some lore says she can deal with a huge group of treasure hoarders alone which is something we see characters like childe, a super well trained fatui harbinger doing for the thrill of battle, it makes me wonder if Qiqi had training of some kind how strong she would truly be.
She can manipulate cryo to heal things and even merge it into adeptus arts, she is capable of learning new skills easily if she can remember things like: Places to hide from Hu Tao, the Traveler from memory, and the Latern Rite then she can definitely improve her skill.
We have already seen how powerful a human with adepti power can be through shenhe stopping a huge god Tsunami with a cryo cyclone not unlike ayakas burst.
I am really hoping for a quest where we learn more about her story maybe with a cutscene (Hu Tao learned her past after all and that’s why Hu Tao wants to protect Qiqi now as Qiqi clearly stated she wants to live)
I would also love to know more about the “fortune preserver” adepti name and how chongyun implies she may be among the deities.
Here’s an actual interesting theory:
I find it very peculiar that Qiqi has 2 lines about Xiao like he is a “historical artifact” in her mind meaning she may have seen him long ago, it just seems very odd that she says “remind me, have I met him before?” almost like they’re drawing attention to it, after all there was a huge battle with adepti where Qiqi died.
Qiqi constellations also have interesting names like divine suppression and ascendant praise which are very godly terms, but ‘rite of resurrection’ is very interesting considering y’know she can literally bring people back from the dead. I really hope they elaborate more on Qiqi in future.
Her death line “Don’t want to be sealed back up” also implies she might remember being trapped in Amber for 2000+ years

@@2triedforthis830 maybe with sumeru when we get Yao Yao (Qiqi’s Liyue friend) they will give a quest. Dendro is the element of life so it seems natural for Qiqi to like her
I would love a hangout where we go flower picking with her or make her some ice cream (she loves soft cold food even if she can’t taste it) similar to Chongyuns hangout
I would also love a hangout where we give Qiqi a photo book and Kamera so she can never forget her friends or memories
A bit of a stretch, but Natlan's story arc is called "Archon Quest Chapter V: Incandescent Ode of Resurrection", so maybe we will get to know more about her in Natlan

Edit: everything aside, I like Bennett, he has never left my main team and I live his story.
His friendship with Razor and his mentor, Kaeya (their attacks are the same) are really wholesome.
I been think few days about the more negative aspects of ambition within the story and how these four character represented --- Teppei, Zhiqiong, Zhiyi and even Crepus share one similar theme, willing to go any lenght to achieve their goals and gain aknowledgement from their deeds.
I found Bennet's hangout to genuinely be a little depressing. It was just unrelenting misery. I think the saddest thing about Bennet is it might actually be immoral for him to remain living in society.

True, the title of the Natlan chapter was something about "Ode of Ressurection" and when thinking about the line of winners burning bright and the loosers turning to ashes, I cannot help but think about the saying "Like phoenix from the ashes"

I'm surprised the video didn't mention how Bennett only has bad luck when he's conscious. in the hangout even he states his bad luck dissappear when he's unconscious. I feel like this is a big clue

Is it possible Bennetts bad luck is bc he shouldn’t exist? Not in a “he’s unlucky so he should go away” kinda way, but in a “his continued existence despite being left in that hellscape to perish as a baby upsets the cords of Teyvat that he touches” kinda way.
Like, Bennett is unlucky yeah but his bad luck affects him to such a singular degree that any life threatening events to others gets passed over just so he gets beaten up more. Man fell into a chasm and survived with barely a scratch, guy got food poisoning (sucks but he’s still alive), Bennett has accidentally sprung Fatui traps on himself instead of their intended targets, and most recently he took a blow in that avalanche where he had to sit for a moment while Amber, Eula, Albedo, and the traveler made it out with just some discomfort.
And it really is the avalanche bit along with his character story that has me thinking about this bc by all rights we could have been SERIOUSLY injured in that incident. Mihoyo could have given Amber an injury she needed a camp to recover from or whatever it’s not like we actively see characters in the world to matter. Eula or us coulda been hurt during that scene as well and yet Bennett was the only one to take any damage. So either Bennett is an act of discord against our characters constellations and their writers, OR he’s perfectly placed to ensure other people stay on their paths when outside forces (like Alfredo) would steer people away from their fates.
I just think he’s neat

rosaria!!! please, if you haven't done her story yet. i was super shocked while reading her unlockable voicelines - she's a genuinely good-hearted character with a lot of baggage, but deals with her trauma in a healthy and refreshing way. rosaria is one of my favorite characters for this; i was really surprised with the way she was written.

If he just threw it away he would probably feel like he lost a piece of himself. For Liyue, please consider Hu Tao! I feel like not enough people realize there is more to her than her pranks and mischievous nature.
So far so good. But I feel, some theories could be explored more. It is heavily implied that the place where he was found is the Mare Jivari, Natlan. He has an obvious likeness to Iansan from the Genshin story line preview. Where it says "the victors shall burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash". More speculative plots could involve Stanley and Hans Archibald, as well as the Lava Walker. I hope Bennett will get a story line when we get to Natlan, shedding light on his origins.

Potentially a Qiqi video? I think Qiqi has the opposite case Benny has in that everyone whi knows Qiqi in Universe loves her, but players tend to overlook her or outright dislike her. Additionally, she has a lot of mysteriously absent details about her that could make for interesting theorycrafting!
You should do xinyan for liyue not only because I think she has a connection with bennett with his "where did that come from" idle but also because xinyan is such a misunderstood character and her lore is not very well known.

Mondstadt seems to have a lot of characters with important lore and when it comes to Bennett and Razor I'm really eager to learn more about them.
I mean, how did Bennett end up in such a dangerous place? I would think a parent or responsible adult wouldn't take an infant with them to a dangerous place unless they had no choice (and why go to a place where you could die too just to abandon a baby?). So maybe he was teleported there either on purpose or on accident? don't know why someone from the Abyss Order would bother doing that.
There's also plenty of other supernatural phenomenon that could happen especially in Teyvat, its either something like that or he fell there from a different world but I highly doubt that's it.
Anyway I didn't have a Bennett for the longest time so I didn't know what the hype was all about until I got a C2 Bennett and now I'm officially a fan. :)
I have a theory that he's actually extremely lucky, and is possibly the most lucky person in Teyvat.

I can't believe I was there when bennett and sucrose were considered trash units. It's quite surreal.
...Is anyone else getting mildly concerned for our boy? He's been pushed banner-wise by Hoyo to the point that it's almost hard not to have him in our character lists (which I support because Benny) and he has been featured in multiple events within the last year with several slightly concerning quotes that makes the writer in me sweat a bit. (The weinlesefest event where he just bluntly laughs off the fact he is an orphan at a festival that is centered around family, among other quotes that say "don't forget this character exists" as if we ever could)
I believe that bennatt's story will be flashed out much more when we get to Natlan because he was found in one of the areas there

just yesterday I was theorycrafting abt bennet and his origins. My theory is he is the brother of Iansan but was cast out into the mare jivari and left for dead due to his bad luck. Then character story 2 explains the rest
I believe the previous pyro archon died because the muratans all have red hair and Iansan did not. Iansan's name is shared with a god from north African culture who is the god of war, fire, and storms. Its very possible that Bennet and Iansan were perhaps airs to be the next archons or rulers of Natlan.

I think that this was somewhat why Bennet was casted to the mare jivari. Maybe his parents lost a duel and he (or all of them) wa exiled to the mare jivari - the sea of ash.

Character-specific videos seem really fun! It's a good way to learn about new characters and revisit old ones. That said, I would recommend Diona or Sayu for the next one! I collect chibi characters like infinity stones, and I've seen those two overlooked a lot. I'd love to hear more about them!
I believe that Bennett might be a son of Murata, he even has white hair and green eyes like Iansan from the Travail teaser, also he has a white band aid in his nose, just like Iansan's face paint, his eyes have the same pattern as Iansan too, just too much similarities.
He may be very important, his abilities relate to the "passion" of pyro

Honestly I think Bennett is actually not unlucky, I think Bennett is a good luck charm. Every bad incident he is involved in could have horribly killed them but instead they are only luckily inconvenienced. Bennett could very much just be a good luck charm lead to be around people in danger, misconstrued as shear unluckiness. Its a pretty half baked thought but what if he is just a person who acts as a sort of karma magnet, dampening the misfortunes of others at the expense of his own personal luck. All the people he seemingly inconvenienced he may have actually shouldered the burden for.
or that he was destined to bring the bad luck to people for them to realize something, to understand something? just on the recent susbedo event, if not for his luck causing the avalanche then the things that happened wouldn't even happen. considering how the people with him knows who he is, yet they do not spend a single second trying to kick him out, they know he is important and a great help to them.

In lore she doesn’t seem to be strong at all. Only in meta

Hu Tao in lore is one of the weakest characters actually
