So I believe the Guild is legit as an organisation, the Guild Master is likely the real deal, a guy whose fighting against the Abyss and preserving peace in Teyvat via commission work through his underlings.
The Katherynes are likely a gift from the Fatui to smooth things over and also to spy on the guild and in each major city, icognito.
They are very likely made by the puppet master harbinger who I forget the name of, speaking of them I am fairly sure that person is inside the ruin machine we saw in the trailer and the person it was carrying is a doll like Katheryne too.

Credible hypothesis on how they could remain independent:
- Alice is either the head or a big part of the Adventurer’s Guild. She does write their guide after all.
- Alice is about as powerful as an archon, but much less agreeable than one -meaning she’d blow up anyone trying to meddle in her affairs, while archons seem to be as active as a cadaver. (Ei was MIA, Venti is drunk and before that was asleep, Zhongli retired, Kusanali is possibly a prisoner in her own nation.) But Alice is out and about. So if this is the case, it’d be no small deal to mess with the guild. It’d be much more dangerous than meddling in the affairs of an archon (because, again, the archons are all missing, sleeping, or retired so far.)
Only two of the archons arent very present that we know of, maybe three depending on the tsaritsa

- Tsaritsa seems to be small in stature going by how small the Jacket Yelan has that was supposed to be hers, and seeing as how the other Fatui jackets basically are coats, i can believe that shes actually a small character too. I can just imagine that Katheryn is just The Flash, running between all the Nations whenever someone gets close to her booth, and then they just walk past, then she sprints right back to the other side of the world.
She does this because it is funnier to lie about her being multiple people than admit she is the fastest women alive.
what if she uses teleport waypoints? It wouldn’t be suspected since it’s established that only the traveler can use them (maybe paimon aswell) so maybe she too can use them? that makes me wonder if other “special” people can use them and we will see in the future,hm

@@anastasiap1856 No it is infact canon somewhere in the beginning of the game (I dont remember where) and I think during rhe chasm quest they are mentioned but the canonical way we actually use them is going to a waypoint and teleporting not just teleporting to one from where ever we want

I wonder if all Katherynes are modelled based on the person at the top of the Adventurer’s guild hierarchy. If there’s some great boss over the entire Adventurer’s guild who looks nearly identical to Katheryne and will be playable in the future. My headcanon lately has been that the Katherynes were probably found in some deserted structure and repurposed into guild receptionists. I think it would just be interesting to come across some half-buried metal structure in the middle of nowhere, and it’s just several floors with walls lined with Katherynes in containment pods.

Theory:
After the cataclysm, The Tsaritsa created the adventures guild as a means to collect information in a non invasive way. Placing a headquarters in each region of Teyvat, its true purpose is to exist to help protect the citizens of Teyvat regardless of what the danger was while also secretly searching for not only information, but someone/s who is powerful enough to take down Celestia. The guild could bear absolutely no association with the Fatui else it could not be completely trusted by the peoples in each region. In this way, Venti, Morax, Alice, Yae Miko, Kusanali and i expect many more have all been incorporated into a very fragile and bold plan to dethrone whatever god occupies Celestia. Conversely, The guild is also being used to secretly direct the Traveler to help them regain their lost power and learn the true secret of the world in a way that makes it seem the Traveler discovered it themselves seemingly without any outside influence. All of the quests have slowly forced the Traveler to unknowingly become more and more invested in the world they are in. Only in this way does the Tsaritsa have the best hope of gaining the unconditional allegiance of the Traveler in their goal, all without Traveler being the wiser until the proper time comes.
Can't wait for the endgame plottwist where we were the bad guys and the fatui were good all along and then the whole adventurers guild shows up to throw a party in schneznaya

The best that the Fatui Harbringers comparison is the 13 Flamechasers in Honkai. From how the story played out, its likely that Schneznaya chapter is parallel to the Elysian Realm chapters

The flame chasers, while flawed were actually fighting to save the world as it was while the Fatui out right are trying to destroy it. They claim to want to bring about a teyvat free from Celestia, but really they just want to replace it with themselves.

I have sudden brain poisoning but it occurs to me that if the Tsaritsa is going to war and wants people to eventually side with the humans against celestia, would it not be wise to have a Schneznaya based organization known for helping the common man?
As the god of love (so we think) the traritsa would know that both fear AND hope are some of the strongest motivators in humans even to the point of granting them their visions when people gain their ambitions to protect loved ones. Maybe she has tasked particular Harbingers to manage the adventurers guild and specifically keep it without Fatui influence.
Some of our emergency commissions even go against the Fatui themselves but we do so bc they’re causing enough trouble for the people in that area to post said commission. The Tsaritsa and Pierro aren’t stupid and they’re constantly recruiting beyond the child soldiers aspect so it’s not impossible theyd connect with people through a seemingly innocent organization. 🤔
She's not really the god of love anymore, she's described as having no love left for her people.
Once upon a time she was best friends with Venti but she lost someone precious to her and became the closed off queen of Ice we know of in the current era.
@@Rexhunterj I mean I know that she’s no longer acting as the god of love though I do think her queen of ice is built off grief. Grief itself is an expression of love not finished so I wouldn’t be surprised if her ideal is still fueling her actions to this day.

@@lunasquib I was playing through the main story yesterday and originally I wanted to spend a few days playing it bit by bit but by chapter 2 i got so hooked to the story that I managed to clear the entire thing in 6 hours. Even though the update felt short, I really enjoyed it, especially the story.

@@orcinus_harmony I was disappointed at first because I thought that was it but then I realized, the main story hasn't even been resolved yet, the plot points introduced have to lead somewhere, and given how superb the sumeru writing is compared to other nations i'm really looking forwards to the narrative.
Imagine the eventuality that when we get to Schenznaya, we’d be potentially interacting with the Fatui the same way we would the Knights of Favonius in Mondstat, the Qixing in Liyue, the Tri-Commission in Inazuma, and the Akademiya in Sumeru.
The thing about Katheryne is that someone must have created all 7 copies of her, and the only three people capable of actually doing so are Alice, Sandrone and Dottore. It is unlikely that Alice did it, cause she never had any reason to and, I believe is registered herself as an adventurer. So the Guild has to be a Fatui organisation.
I doubt that the guild has any official Fatui ties but it does seem undeniable that Katheryne herself is under Sandrone's control in some way
whether she's just an automatic info gatherer or if Sandrone controls her directly is unclear though. I'd guess that Katheryne has some level of independance because if Sandrone was controlling her directly then that'd mean that every time Katheryne has helped us it would've actually been Sandrone aiding us from behind the scenes. I'd say direct control is definitely more interesting though it does seem less likely.

Interesting theory, but then I would gladly ask you to explain: if the Guild is colluding with the Fatui, why are there Guild missions of attacking Fatui agents, protecting Monoliths from the Fatui or stealing stuff from Fatui camps? Could it be explained as "character strength measuring missions" or "inner cleanup" by the Fatui?

Theorytime:
The whole world is on a 500Y loop. The travellers have 2 routes: 1. being the boss of the abyssal order, 2. being an adventuerer. BOTH travellers take BOTH routes. If you start with lumine, you take the route of the traveler first. After you finally meet your sibling, a second calamity happens and both of you will get sent backwards in time. You as the traveller decide to "save" your sibling which causes you to become the boss of the abyssal order (to fight for Khaenriah and preventing the catastrophic future from ever happening, but because all that is part of the loop, we already know this plan must fail if noone intervenes "from the outside") while your sibling becomes the traveller. This loop spans from the destruction of Khaenriah to the calamity that will occur several hundred years later, it connects the end to the beginning. It propably also runs for some time now.
People that are much older than the loop know of this (venti hinted a few things, Zhongli propably knows everything and he even said that he wont tell us because we must complete our journey first), the current dendro archon propably also knows of this because of her (almost) unlimited knowledge even if she is born inside the loop.
Expand this as you see fit. In my head, this is reality until I get proven wrong :D
Did the Sumeru questline motivated me here? Not at all, I already had this theory a year ago, but it did motivate me to post the theory :)
Uu I love it when people post their theories on here! This would be a great idea and a good way to make both the travelers be canon
However I personally never really liked the messing with time story lines
@@lunasquib And another great thing: If this is true, we may get the chance to play (maybe only parts of) the alternative route. Imagine being "at the end" of Genshin and everything falls down (bad ending, you cannot prevent the catastrophe). Then you start a new path from scratch with all the knowledge about the future (because you were the traveller in that future). You get all the scenes where the sibling did something evil, but now, YOU are that person and from your perspective, these actions are not evil but necessary and you may chose to do some things differently. In the end, you and your sibling (now aimed with the combined knowledge of everything) tackle the finale again, but this time something is different. Your actions differed from the ones taken by your sibling in the last loop, the outcome changes (maybe because you got aquainted with one of the ancient gods that lives outside the loop, the "real" Moon for example) and you can change the future that was dictated by fate.

We do know that Diluc is part of some secret organization. He was recruited during his time in Snezhnaya when he was fighting the Fatui left and right. We know that the Adventurer's Guild has connections to Snezhnaya. So what if this secret organization is actually the Adventurer's Guild?

I like your idea of Columbina having something to do with the adventures guild, her being connected to the Adventures guild could be a reason why she is so high ranked in the fatui. We know from childes voice line about her that he doesn't know why she ranked 3rd but harbingers are ranked based on how much they are an asset to the fatui so her having a connection to the adventures guild and its information network may help explain that.

I'd be willing to bet that the Adventurer's Guild, and Kathryne for that matter, were created by Alice a LONG time ago. And it's been keeping Alice informed about the going's on all across Teyvat all this time.
Same I think it's Alice since Katheryne is not a perfect puppet like the ones made by Raiden Ei. But it's like 99% complete which is def something Alice does she starts something and abandons it eventually.

I think the Adventurers Guild is an independent organization controlled by a person that can't be dealt with by the Fatui's usual methods made all the more difficult as they are silvered tongued slippery snake of a person whom has a talent for escape. Basically a D&D bard,.... Yeah my head cannon is that the one in control of the Adventurer's Guild is Venti in disguise whom runs around as disguised as himself to escape work. But seriously the Guild is somewhat thematically aligned with his character and ideals. It also fits in nicely as backstory filler as to what he was up to away from Monstat instead of just more drifting. Opportunity just fell into his lap and he just rolled with it, even so much as to scam Sandrone to make a few Kathyrines for the Guild and thus explain the more violent interaction from Signora in comparison to the more diplomatic ones with the other archons. Basically cordial relations were not on the table to begin with so lets send the member with the grudge.
But that's just my silly little head cannon.
Katheryne may be a robot but I don't think she has anything to do with Fatui's robotic technology. Fatui are working with ruin machinery, even Sandrone's servant is big and bulky and has those ancient runes all over it even when dressed up. Katheryne looks like whole different type of robot to me.
Also, multiple commissions are targeted at Fatui members, including eliminating their whole camps, such as Inazuma commission "For the Harbingers". I don't think it would be the case if the organization was colluding with them.
Here's the thing about Sandrone: how do we know the ruin guard isn't the actual Harbinger with the girl as the puppet they use to interact with people?

Plot twist, Katherine is the Tsaritsa, all along.
Collusion sounds plausible. One thing im sure about, is that the traveller joining the chasm expedition is the fatuis doing ; we achieved their goal that they failed to reach (cleaning up the celestial pillar) and saved what was left of their stranded soldiers. At least one harbinger wanted us to go there.

If I remember correctly the Adventures Guild is as old as the Archon wars. We sort of know this because Leonard was climbing the ice cap mountains of Monstadt before Venti took them off. The Katheryne's I think might be connected to the "world tree" she has the symbol of the tree on her upper back below the keyhole that is different than the regions of Sumeru (so pre Sumeru City).

heres my theory, katheryne is the avatar of the keeper of heavenly principles or whatever, the one that la signora stans, and that katheryne is omnipotent, she is stronger than the fatui and is actively colluding with the fatui in order to gain information against tsaritsa in order to defeat her, she knows that tsaritsa is collecting gnosi in order to fight her since she is an evil god of gods, so she plans on defeating her.
I trust it, primos and mora. As long as I get it, I would be willing to help the fatui you know.

I know people have already speculated this but I haven't got wind of it so. We know that in dragon spine the tall structure at the top of the mountain is one of the same structures we see in the start screen of the game, and that is the same place where the story first starts right. Well what if the starting screen is more than just a random place the twins were going to leave. What if we're getting sights of what Celestia looks like. A heavenly area with divine /grand architecture and above the cloud line. The only area I can think of thats similar is the Celestia island we see. And if the sky is a hoax theory is correct what if the starting screen is the true image of Celestia, than an island with structures built upon it. And if this is true then the twins have already steeped into the land of Celestia, but because they weren't granted access or an audience the seer of heavenly principles punishes them for their "Sin" of transgression

I honestly disagree that the Fatui work with the adventurers guild. The daily commissions are posted by the guild. So commissions are that u need to kill fatui agents. But then again the fatui are known for there expendable agents.
It was never explicitly said that you had to kill them. Capturing them is the more likely scenario and having the guild hunt down Fatui agents is a good way to avoid the connection between the two organizations~

honestly the whole adventurers guild part of the game is one of the few parts i just cannot get my head around
first off the adventurer guild is either owned by or HEAVILY connected to snez and by extension the fatui
so how in the hell is it still a thing ?
i mean its pretty public what the fatui has been doing over the course of the game with multiple people in power having witnessed what they can do
so how has no city as of yet gotten rid of the guild or at the very least changed its staff or whatever ?
i mean i know its for gameplay reasons and all but if thats the case atleast create some story ingame that explains why it still exists or something cause right now it feels extremely foolish by literally every known nation to have it around and allowing them to be in their citys

Katheryne is a sneznayan puppet. Unlike the mechanical crab in Tighnari's story quest, Katheryne is considered as 'just a puppet' by Nahida while the mechanical crab is considered to be a "life form' in its own right by Tighnari. I'm mentioning this because I feel like this further supports the theory that Katheryne is being controlled by someone rather than having her own will and that someone, I believe, is Sandrone as well. The one thing that'd probably act against this is why Katheryne seemed not to remember anything once Nahida left her body. I'd say one solution to this is that Nahida simply blocked her systems. Another problem is how Nahida views machinations and puppets and whether or not she considers them as "people" because of her act of possessing Katheryne's body under the assumption that she has her own sense of free will. These are just speculation, though...
