If you run into one of those balls after being hit with the 1hp attack, honestly you deserve to take the L. Do not doubt the ferocity of a child who has lost its mother. For not all children are infants. And love's revenge is an apocalyptic flame for which there is neither quench nor escape.
A great run, bow runs are always a win. I also enjoyed that you took a dive into the Chalice Dungeons. In pretty much every bloodborne run I've seen, both normal and challenge, runners only seem to dip into them for an easy way to farm blood echos. It makes me happy to see someone diving in for blood gems, it reminds me of farming for talismans in Monster Hunter. I have a theory for the 1306 damage hit on Ludwig at around 26:31 : I think it was counter damage. Looking at the footage you've provided, your usually releasing your charge shots at the end of a boss's attack animation. I think that attack caught Ludwig in the middle of an attack, and it only did because you knew that it was safe due to the phase transition.
The simple way to Soulsborne/Sekiro: Never think, just do. The more your brain is in control, the more likely you are to overthink or panic. If you aren't letting your subconscious do the work, your odds of making a mistake are high. Once you make one mistake, it's usually downhill from there unless you remain calm.
Watched the Beast Claw only run, was pleasntly surprised. came over here becasue it was on my recomended page quite a few times, similar result. Love the effort of actually wrting a character arch into theses runs! Makes them feel diffrent outside of just the challange itself.

Having seen this excellent demonstration of marksmanship, I yearn now for its polar opposite. A Stake Driver/Fist of Gratia combo run. Playing Punch Out with the infernal nightmares from beyond the realms of man's comprehension seems fun, either as a full vid or a Ye Of Little Faith.
Hey Lemon, have you considered using the playstation cloud save option? I believe it would minimize the amount of consumables you need to grind for. You would only have to prepare a good stock once per boss. I used to cloud save to roll back when i was experimenting with chalice dungeon codes, there are some that softlock your save.
Have you considered the the cummmfpk dungeon? You can get upwards of 80k blood echos by walking forward, this is what I used to avoid grinding for items
If you want to make BSB easier, you can throw a Pungent Blood Cocktail in a corner which allows you to attack with impunity. Also, you can skip Djura by shooting him ~5 times until he falls off the tower. Also, using papers and Beast Blood Pellets dramatically increase your damage, making most bosses light work.
@@Fool408 It's not exactly fun to watch though, I must admit. I love that this challenge actually had the bosses being fought instead of stunlocked to oblivion. (Aside from Micolash)
Psst….”Can you Actually One Shot Any Boss in Salt and Sanctuary?” Would be very interesting to see which ones and how. 🤷🏻♂️ keep up the great content!
I'd like to add, killing Simon early is lowkey harder than Orphan. Man eats his Wheaties. Still, with an ending that exciting, I'd say skipping the optional boss was worth it.
This may be one of my favorite Bloodborne challenges I've seen. You didn't use any of the gamebreaking strategies that other creators tend to abuse (Chalice echoes from custom dungeon, blood cocktail against Blood Starved Beast, etc.), you allowed (most) of the bosses to actually fight and allowed the challenge to be well... a challenge, on top of that you weaved a wonderful narrative through it all, Great work!
Hey Lemon! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC run, loved watching it, you taught me something new about the Bowblade with that Curse gem trick! Little tidbit for any future runs - it is 100% possible to get a +9 weapon after Vicar Amelia and the Witches of Hemwick, so a total 3 bosses without Cleric or BSB, 5 with. 1 in the Woods after the first shortcut, guarded by 3 snake-heads 5 in Cainhurst (3 on the route, 2 from a scurring madnesa) 6 in the DLC before Ludwig (2 from a scurry beast near lamp 2, 2 from a scurry beast near the cave before the miniboss BSB, 2 in the minibus cave) 4 in Nightmare frontier (2 each from 2 large scurrying madnesses, one after the 1st winter lantern and one in the poison pools before Amygdala) Totals exactly 16, which is exactly enough for 1 +9 weapons or two +8 weapons. Keep on breaking this game, I'll keep on watching. I'm with you, this game is way better rhan Elden Ring.
Wow this was an absolutely masterpiece in storytelling, probably your best video yet! I really enjoy you leaning into the lore and trying to make each run have a story to tell
As usual, the storytelling is elevating this from just another challenge run to something very special. Good job, lemon! I also appreciate your efforts to get the bowblade without cheats. Seems no matter what bloodtinge weapon you use, it's always the same: the early game is hard, the endgame comparatively easy. Anyway. Did you use the cummmfpk dungeon to restock on vials and bullets or did you farm them somewhere else?
Whoah, didn't expect you to actually reply, thank you Yeah, this is the one feature I really don't like about the game, so much content is locked behind an additional paywall - also, many of the best blood gems are also pseudolocked in the chalice dungeons you have to pay for (technically you can get them without psn, but it takes a ridiculously long time)
Hi from France Lemon, I discovered you few weeks ago (quite randomly to be honest) and, before even watch this video, I wanted to say that you're channel is one of my bests (if that's not my best) discovery of the year! 22:45 the Micolash Cheese also involves something similar. When he jumps through the first mirror at the top of the stairs, if you go to the balcony, you can just shoot him to death. Sometimes he'll "reset" and come out of the mirror again but he'll never enter the actual phase 2 area where the door shuts behind him.
Skill/Bloodtinge is my favourite build in Bloodborne and the Bowblade one of my most used weapons in it. I love that thing so much, so seeing it as the focus of a challenge run makes me very happy.
For future bullet only runs the caretaker in oedon chapel drops a +3 bullet rune on death, and if you walk to the entrance of Gascoigne's arena and back with it still on the ground, it dupes the rune. Do that twice and you basically start the run with 29 bullets. Really impressive as always though Lemon, love your content!

otherwise he 100% would've incorporated a transition attack into this video.
Please link me a timestamp otherwise (you can't)
Congrats on saying a lot... Yet nothing at the same time
@@stainmaster2630my guy... it ain't that deep... I hope a year later you've grown more mature.
Fun Fact: when I fought Maria my first time I was rocking the Blades of Mercy, and matched her style. If she was dual-wielding, so was I; If she had sword gun combo, so did I.
Made the fight more fun and possibly my favorite fight in the whole game.
Backlogs never disappoints
Another day, another video of lemon throwing himself against a wall till he can see eldritch beings without any insight
Do not doubt the ferocity of a child who has lost its mother. For not all children are infants. And love's revenge is an apocalyptic flame for which there is neither quench nor escape.
Holy shit this comment actually goes hard as hell!
wtt r u talkin about cuh
Don't cut yourself on all that edge
8:30 you guys can let your instincts take over????
It's the only proper way to play bloodborne
The simple way to Soulsborne/Sekiro: Never think, just do. The more your brain is in control, the more likely you are to overthink or panic. If you aren't letting your subconscious do the work, your odds of making a mistake are high. Once you make one mistake, it's usually downhill from there unless you remain calm.
Watched the Beast Claw only run, was pleasntly surprised.
came over here becasue it was on my recomended page quite a few times, similar result.
Love the effort of actually wrting a character arch into theses runs! Makes them feel diffrent outside of just the challange itself.
Great vid, have you ever thought about a beast-mode only run?
“All I know is the night is full of terrors, and I am one of them!”
That’s such a badass end to the video.
How does your storytelling keep getting better? Holy shit, the arc on this video was crazy, love to see it.
10:31 gwanted
cool to see this weapon actually get used before lategame!
"I don't have time to grind vitality!!!"
"Oh but I do have time to do the chalice dungeons."
Great video as always! And dont worry about forgetting to remove your insight before entering the witches, they give you one insight for entering the arena so you'll need yo enter, exit and use It and enter again
4:26 CURSE YOU BAYYYYYYYLEEE
You can get upwards of 80k blood echos by walking forward, this is what I used to avoid grinding for items
bro giving witches backshots
I am unable to ponder upon the reason this has been highlighted...
Papers don't work on the bow, sadly :/
These are very well known tips that a lot of people who play bloodborne know
Pellets dont affect blood damage
@@TheBacklogs This is mostly a suggestion for future runs to make your life a little easier
@@Fool408 It's not exactly fun to watch though, I must admit. I love that this challenge actually had the bosses being fought instead of stunlocked to oblivion. (Aside from Micolash)
Anytime I hear that "Hey, it's Lemon!" I feel great joy.
Wait... how can you give weapons?
You just drop em I think...
@chrisvisser-fee2631 i didn't know you could do that 😭
Psst….”Can you Actually One Shot Any Boss in Salt and Sanctuary?”
Would be very interesting to see which ones and how. 🤷🏻♂️ keep up the great content!
27:27 a bloodborne player with a wife how?
I'd like to add, killing Simon early is lowkey harder than Orphan. Man eats his Wheaties. Still, with an ending that exciting, I'd say skipping the optional boss was worth it.
So someone else can just give you the weapon? Is that a glitch or what? I didn't think blood borne had multi player
... He probably made a mod that let him get it
Bloodborne has multiplayer
Bloodborne has the typical Co-Op and Invasion multiplayer.
The game without multiplayer is Sekiro.
@@Joural0401it's incredibly hard to mod Bloodborne due to it being a console exclusive, plus he literally shows JKLeeds giving him the bow
Bloodborne has multiplayer
This may be one of my favorite Bloodborne challenges I've seen. You didn't use any of the gamebreaking strategies that other creators tend to abuse (Chalice echoes from custom dungeon, blood cocktail against Blood Starved Beast, etc.), you allowed (most) of the bosses to actually fight and allowed the challenge to be well... a challenge, on top of that you weaved a wonderful narrative through it all, Great work!
Dude, arent you supposed to use the cocktail?
"Curse you" mentioned????
Anybody else notice how Lemon always gets creepily poetic when playing Boodborne?
Insert pedantic comment
1 in the Woods after the first shortcut, guarded by 3 snake-heads
5 in Cainhurst (3 on the route, 2 from a scurring madnesa)
6 in the DLC before Ludwig (2 from a scurry beast near lamp 2, 2 from a scurry beast near the cave before the miniboss BSB, 2 in the minibus cave)
4 in Nightmare frontier (2 each from 2 large scurrying madnesses, one after the 1st winter lantern and one in the poison pools before Amygdala)
Totals exactly 16, which is exactly enough for 1 +9 weapons or two +8 weapons.
Keep on breaking this game, I'll keep on watching. I'm with you, this game is way better rhan Elden Ring.
Frieza did it
Love how he incorporates lore into his Challenge Runs!
You have a really entertaining and enjoyable voice and way to speak, especially for challenge runs. Great content, I appreciate it
Holy shit. I did not know bloodborne had a bow lmfao. What the fuck how have i not realised theirs a bow in the game
Actually, there is an easier way to identify the celestial emissary. It's the only one that doesn't try to attack you
Wow this was an absolutely masterpiece in storytelling, probably your best video yet! I really enjoy you leaning into the lore and trying to make each run have a story to tell
Ah, the infamous backshot strat for the witches.
He knew what he was doing
As usual, the storytelling is elevating this from just another challenge run to something very special. Good job, lemon!
I also appreciate your efforts to get the bowblade without cheats.
Seems no matter what bloodtinge weapon you use, it's always the same: the early game is hard, the endgame comparatively easy.
Anyway. Did you use the cummmfpk dungeon to restock on vials and bullets or did you farm them somewhere else?
Elsewhere. I refuse to pay Sony to use the internet I already pay for :/
Whoah, didn't expect you to actually reply, thank you
Yeah, this is the one feature I really don't like about the game, so much content is locked behind an additional paywall - also, many of the best blood gems are also pseudolocked in the chalice dungeons you have to pay for (technically you can get them without psn, but it takes a ridiculously long time)
Hi from France Lemon, I discovered you few weeks ago (quite randomly to be honest) and, before even watch this video, I wanted to say that you're channel is one of my bests (if that's not my best) discovery of the year! I really enjoy your videos, I extremely respect your patience and resilience and, most of all, I many thank you for all the fun time you give to us
22:45 the Micolash Cheese also involves something similar. When he jumps through the first mirror at the top of the stairs, if you go to the balcony, you can just shoot him to death. Sometimes he'll "reset" and come out of the mirror again but he'll never enter the actual phase 2 area where the door shuts behind him.
I see Bloodborne, I watch. It’s that simple.
But I love your sense of humor as well. So bonus.
I just found your channel and have been binge watching every single video! Love your content man
Oh boy, that looks like claw next! I would also love to see a cauliflower tentacle run...
The narration/ voice over for this vid was by farrrrr a favorite. Loved the vid ❤
Skill/Bloodtinge is my favourite build in Bloodborne and the Bowblade one of my most used weapons in it. I love that thing so much, so seeing it as the focus of a challenge run makes me very happy.
I love this so much. I hope you continue to grow. It feels like watching a friend play over discord or somethin.
You know you've been challenge running a lot when you get excited about a weapon doing almost as much damage as a melee attack
24:45 The fact that I was spooning into my face the last bit of an entire box of Kraft deluxe the moment you said this was not okay
Hearing Caestus Metalican at 16:18 was a welcome surprise. The Omnissiah smiles upon thee.
