- There are many roofing companies on the market in Ghana but how can you identify one that offers quality roofing materials to ensure your building is safe and protected from the weather.
On this project we had to replace the entire roofing sheets of a three bedroom house after the low grade roofing materials corroded and started to leak causing damage to the woodwork and internal ceilings.
We carried out some remedy works to the wood members which were mostly rotten after termites had eaten up a lot of the wood and installed the high quality Ultra Plus Self Lock Log Span roofing sheets.
Finding quality roofing sheet materials in very important when building your dream home in Ghana.

Would you use wooden trusses or aluzink if tou were starting from scratch with the roof?
Its all a matter of preference and budget. The trusses tend to be a bit more expensive than wood and if the wood is well treated before installation its shouldn't cause any issues.
Would you trust Mega Steel for saying that their Trusses are cheaper than using Wood for the roofing? And can I use the roofing underlays before the metal sheets are placed on either the Metallic or Wooden Trusses? I would welcome a response. I have lived in a room which has leaks when it rains and wouldn’t love the experience again. Thanks

After a couple of weeks looking around and seeing buildings even some very large projects being done in wood I will go with that. The key is to get the right wood and treat it well before installation.
