Elise, I remember you working on the Island Stroll when you went on vacation to an island. You show a closeup, maybe you'd recognize the hook? My hooks are all different colors, but not sure about yours. Hope that helps. This year I want to get the hook size clips to put on a WIP so I don't lose that info. There are some beautiful ones on Etsy. Love your RUclips.
That is such a good idea!!! I bet I could go back to that video and I will recognize the hook I was using!! Thank you so much for the idea!! Why didn't I think of that? 😂😂😂
Thank you! You can find lots of different crochet hook gauge tools all over. I have a couple from yarn shops but you could find them on Amazon, in craft stores or even handmade ones on Etsy! 🧶🧶🧶
I have a sewing machine still in it’s box since it was bought over a year ago. It’s being used as a bedside table at the moment 😢 I just don’t have the room for a ‘craft space’ and only use what I need when I make a project. I wish I could trust my cats not to get into everything too, they love my yarn when I’m knitting. I’ve even had to rejoin mid project as they chew through it. 😂 one day I will get a bigger place and a better place to store my crafts. Thanks for the video, I still got lots inspiration and I love those labels. 😊
Lol!! Cats!! 🐱🧶😱 I've only had a crafting space of my own for a couple of years now. I remember how to tough it was to have things stored all over the house! I'm glad you got something out of the video though. ❤️
Thank you for the lovely ideas! I have decided not to purchase any new yarn or pattern until i’m done with my WIPs for now. 💪 The planner will be a good reference for me, i use a bullet journal and will steal some ideas for collections. 😍
I don't plan a project. I make things and put them in a tote, that way when a birthday, baby shower, etc comes, I go to my tote and pick something out. Life happens and I don't promise something that I haven’t made. I don't get patterns and buy yarn. I look at my yarn and look for something to make. People know I do crochet and I inherited other's left over yarn. I don't mind, it makes me creative.

@@EliseRoseCrochet well, sometimes the act falls apart... Like Thursday when I was walking out the door to work, thinking my stretch jeans felt like they weren't fitting right...and then I realized I'd put them on backwards!
My biggest problem is books, I have 4 bookcases that are full of books, books on the dining table and an extra small table. Once I get into a book everything crochet is gone from my brain. I'm going to use your workbook, maybe I can read for two weeks and crochet for two weeks. 😏

Hey there!! I was just wondering if you sell toys that are made from someone else's pattern? I've had so many ppl ask me to sell some of the Ami I've made, but I'm never sure if I'm even allowed or what is required of me to do so. Thanks, 👍😊
Yes, I have in the past! Most designers give permission written somewhere on the pattern. If you don't see it you can always reach out to the designer for permission. I always added their names to any listings and tags I had on the toys to let the buyers know who designed the pattern. Hope that helps! ❤️
Oh my gosh, that's such a good idea about the designers on the tag!!! Thanks for the helpful tips and reply 🐱 your channel is amazing and you have definitely awoken a new found obsession with Amigurumi!! Im so excited for this year and making more!!!
Elise you are the best. I really enjoy your channel. I love your energy, your ideas, your humor, your teachings and your sentimentality! Good job! Thanks for being there. I just ordered the Happy Planner and hope you send out your journal for 2024. Feel like I am watching a friend when I click on your channel. I am starting a new phase of my crocheting hobby….moving from just making an afghan or scarf to wanting to do and learn more. That takes organizing, making notes and building on my learning, and of course you have guidance and resources on that. Fun! Linda
I'm in love with your channel and your content. I'l learning how to crochet and did not know where to start or what to try first. I downloaded the PDF and it will help me to organise my ideas. Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤
Thanks again for this video. I spent time this afternoon getting my craft plan set up and written out. I wrote out a page that lists what each step of the plan is. I included where the pages for each part of the plan are located. Some are in my project notebook, and some are in my 2023 year planner. I still have lots of work to do on my project pages, but that is an ongoing effort. I'm making sure to write up pages for each new project. As I get an older project out, I want to make a page for it. I am also going through former efforts to start project notebooks as I find them to add those to the new happy planner notebook. I didn't do any stickers or decorations today. I can add those as the desire arises. I feel more organized than I did last fall.
@LePetitSaint Crochet you need to check your comments. Some people are trying to scam subscribers with the prize on telegram trick. I just got one, I am going to remove it. Other may not know about this danger.
Hi Elise, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I tried to print the wonderful journal you created and I only get blank pages. The images of the journal show on the computer screen but prints out blank. Any ideas?
Great video! Thanks for the free planner! I need this to help me organize and keep myself in check. I can't seem to find the link to the "Honey, get control of your WIPs"... am I missing it somehow?
It's because I didn't put the link in, lol!! Sorry about that! I just added it (and thank you for bringing that to my attention). Here's the direct link: lepetitsaintcrochet.com/2020/07/09/honey-get-control-of-your-wips/ Hope that helps! 💞
I love using The Happy Planner too! I have a Classic sized (vertical layout) for personal and a Big Teacher Planner for my piano studio. Love the disk bound system too, and how customizable they are! Your crochet/knit planner inserts look amazing!
I love happy planner! I got the sewing workbook when it came out last year. I think it was summer. I had already gotten some project pages, so added those to the section I have the pages that came with the sewing. I'm adapting it all for me. I am going to make your list pages work for any of my projects. I like to rotate types of projects and crafts. I will adapt the lists to make a master plan. When I grab a project to work I often don't have my project book with me. So I have learned to add a postit or other paper to the project bag. On that I write the needle or hook size I am using. This is just incase I pull the hook to use elsewhere. I also keep a tool bag for all my tools so they don't get lost. The paper is where I write the last round or row I finished each time I stop working. Also the stitch count in that row. If extra yarn for the project is not in bag I write on the paper where the extra yarn is stored. If I put a project away for awhile I write the storage location on the project page for that project. I have moved and/ or rearranged so many times I have trouble remembering storage locations for this house. I also am learning to update the labels on storage boxes as things are added or removed. I am with on wanting to do better record keeping and planning this year. I also frankenplan in my main planner. So I will put the working project lists in a section of my main planner. It stays with me much more than my project book. I'm so pleased to see your cheerful face!
Oh. My. Gosh! Thank you so much for this video and materials 😇. I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I didn't write something down and forgot important details. You're a blessing!
Yet I am only using the "WIP-Worksheet", but not the way it was supposed to. I need it for my "I want to crochet this!....and that...and...oh" 😆 So, that is not exactly a WIP-List. It is a list for me to organize the projects, I want to make this year. There are already 17 projects, but more is already coming 😆 But I did not order them from easy to "not so easy". At first for me, there are a few small projects. Then one larger project, after that more small projects and so on. I have already finished 3 small projects (a flower, a plant, and an ocotopi) and now i am crocheting a larger project, it is a Sweater ^-^ I hope this project will end before I am a sceleton 😆 So many rounds to make...
Michael's has Happy Planners for 50% off right now..:) Thanks for this Elise! I need to get an HP hole punch! I didn't know there was such a thing. :) Tried to get the workbook and all I got was a confirm your email addy email. Nevermind! Got it..:)

One of my favorite hacks - you know those thick plastic bags with zippers that sheet sets and bedspreads come in? I save all of them and use them for my WIPs. Since they are clear plastic, I can see what’s in them; they’re sturdy enough that I can include the hook I’m using (and not forget which one it was); the larger ones (bedspread size) can hold all the yarn for larger projects; and, they keep everything dust-free (and cat-hair-free!) when I’m not working on them.
Ooh that's a video that I've been waiting for someone to do it and give me those brilliant idea 💡 you're the discovery of 2023 ! Thank you for sharing ☺️
Elise, thank you so much for sharing this. It's so pretty! I just ordered my Happy Journal this morning after watching your video. Took a look at The Island Stroll CAL too. If I lived to be a million years old I don't think there would be enough time to finish what I have started and what I want to do!
This is exactly what I need right now! I have some commissioned Amigurumi, a baby gift to make, a big craft show in April to get ready for & I am so forgetful & unorganized. I have temporarily abandoned a project & forgotten the needle size so many times. 😅 Thank you so much for this great organization tool!
Thank you Elise for this great video and the spark I needed to continue my organization mission. I too have been taking inventory of my WIPS and either frogging (UGH) them or noting them; however, your planning sheets will become essential pieces of each project from this day forward. I love being organized as it just makes life a little less messy and who doesn't love a littles less mess. Thank you again for your continued positive and energetic attitude and here's to another great creative year!
Thank you!! I have been on this journey for about a year now. I read a book about Swedish Death Cleaning last year and it transformed the way I think about clutter and organization! 🧶
It depends on the project I'm working on. But I just played around with the yarn and different hooks around the size of the recommended one. I just chose the one that worked better for me. Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶
I actually might download and print out that workbook and calendar . . . I decided a couple weeks ago to just type out the projects (under different categories) that I wanted to make before August, when I'm vendoring at a con. That way, I can look at what I can reasonably accomplish before then, and not drive myself nuts with a bunch of half-finished things when August gets here. I'm gonna check off the things I do accomplish, and typing them out like that let me prioritize things so I know what I have to get done first. The best part is, I do have stuff left over from last year, so I've already got something of a stock. I just need to bulk it up some. Oh, I've finally started my own RUclips channel and have two videos up! I hope you'll come over to my channel and watch them, :)
Yes, getting them written out is soooo helpful for me too. Otherwise I flit around without a plan! Going to check out your channel!! Congratulations! 👏👏👏
@@EliseRoseCrochet Thank you so much! I'll consistently be working on projects, but I'll be completely time-blind, thinking, "Oh, yeah, I've only got X number of things to do, I should be fine." Then suddenly, it's a week before the con, and I've got twenty things I want to finish and have to accept that there's no way. Side note, apparently comments are turned off for my channel, and I can't figure out how to turn them on. Do you have any ideas?
Thank you Elise, this is all so helpful. I always start good the beginning of the year, than after a while I let it slip . I am determined to follow true this whole year ❤
Thanks for the video Elise! I have what I call my fiber diary that I’ve been keeping for the last 18 months and I’ve found it very helpful. Your planner looks to be even better!
Thank you so, so much for the project planner workbook - I love it! Greetings from Bergen, Norway - as I sit here knitting
Oh that's amazing!! I'm totally obsessed with traditional Norwegian knitting at the moment! I can't get enough. ❤️❤️❤️
Fun! Linda
Thank you so much, Linda!! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos! And good idea to update the calendar for 2024! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you for this very usefull tool. I will try it out for sure!
You are so welcome! ❤️
That's amazing!! You're inspiring me to get more organized!!! 💞💞💞
@LePetitSaint Crochet you need to check your comments. Some people are trying to scam subscribers with the prize on telegram trick. I just got one, I am going to remove it. Other may not know about this danger.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Thanks I need this
You are so welcome! 🧶🧶🧶
Hi Elise, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I tried to print the wonderful journal you created and I only get blank pages. The images of the journal show on the computer screen but prints out blank. Any ideas?
Not sure. Mine prints out fine on my end. Maybe restart your printer and computer? Hope that helps!
@@EliseRoseCrochet Ok I’ll try that. Thank you!
@@EliseRoseCrochet It worked ! I was able to print out everything beautifully! Thanks again for all your hard work and help!💕
@@EliseRoseCrochet thanks so much! I just love your work! You have inspired me in so many ways! So thank you for that. Happy New Year!
@@EliseRoseCrochet I got the link but when I try to download it from the blog post, it is not loading anything.
I love using The Happy Planner too! I have a Classic sized (vertical layout) for personal and a Big Teacher Planner for my piano studio. Love the disk bound system too, and how customizable they are! Your crochet/knit planner inserts look amazing!
That's amazing! I am so happy to finally have found a planner that works well for me! 💞
Thanks so much for sharing!! I'm trying to be much more organized this year as well! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you, Elise!
You're so welcome! ❤️
That journal sounds like a great idea! Thanks for the offer, I’m sending my email now!😊
Wonderful!! So glad you like it! 💞💞💞
Thanks for sharing! ❤😘😊
You're so welcome! 💞
Oh. My. Gosh! Thank you so much for this video and materials 😇. I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I didn't write something down and forgot important details. You're a blessing!
Oh I totally understand!!! I made the workbook because I desperately need it and thought someone else might enjoy it too! 💞💞💞
I am going to TRY this.
I hope it helps!! 💞
I want to do a granny square cardigan. I really like the 3D squares. Can you suggest a place where I can find a pattern?
There are some great options here on YT. Both small and large granny squares and different lengths of cardigan.
I don't think I've ever heard of 3D squares! Thanks for sharing!! Hopefully others will chime in with suggestions! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks for sharing!! 💞
I might have mislead you with the name. It’s like your flower squares.
Yet I am only using the "WIP-Worksheet", but not the way it was supposed to.
I need it for my "I want to crochet this!....and that...and...oh" 😆
So, that is not exactly a WIP-List.
It is a list for me to organize the projects, I want to make this year. There are already 17 projects, but more is already coming 😆
But I did not order them from easy to "not so easy". At first for me, there are a few small projects. Then one larger project, after that more small projects and so on.
I have already finished 3 small projects (a flower, a plant, and an ocotopi) and now i am crocheting a larger project, it is a Sweater ^-^
I hope this project will end before I am a sceleton 😆
So many rounds to make...
That's wonderful!!! And I totally understand that list of things to make growing and growing and growing!! 🤣
Oooo. Love the duck
Thank you so much! 💞💞💞
Oh you're so clever 👏👏👏 I need you sat by me Elise... You know I'm that person who wants to learn ALL the crafts 🤣🤣😘
Lol!!! I'm glad it helped, Dawn!!! 💞🧶😘
Michael's has Happy Planners for 50% off right now..:) Thanks for this Elise! I need to get an HP hole punch! I didn't know there was such a thing. :) Tried to get the workbook and all I got was a confirm your email addy email. Nevermind! Got it..:)

Thank you!
You're welcome! 💞
What a great inspiration for January organization.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 💞💞💞
That's a fantastic idea!! Thanks so much for sharing that tip! 💞💞💞
Ooh that's a video that I've been waiting for someone to do it and give me those brilliant idea 💡 you're the discovery of 2023 ! Thank you for sharing ☺️
Glad it was helpful! 💞💞💞
Such a great planner design!! 😊🗓️👏🏻
Thanks so much, Taralah! 💞
Good Morning Elise! As always such great tips! 😊 Thank you!
You are so welcome!! 💞💞💞
Elise, thank you so much for sharing this. It's so pretty! I just ordered my Happy Journal this morning after watching your video. Took a look at The Island Stroll CAL too. If I lived to be a million years old I don't think there would be enough time to finish what I have started and what I want to do!
That's awesome!! I totally get that!! I feel the same way!! Never enough time! 💞
Merci merci
You're so welcome! 💞
Sending you a big hug for this new year. Thank you for this workbook, it's perfect ❤️
Thank you! Happy New Year!! 💞
I'm so glad it will be helpful!! 💞💞
I love the planner and can’t wait to use it! Thank you. I also love that cable knit afghan on your table . Is there a pattern?
Yay! I hope you enjoy it! The cable blanket is store bought! 🧶🧶🧶
Hey Elise, do you have a video about Tunisian crochet, I’ve been thinking of trying to instead of knitting so maybe a comparison?
Hello! I do not, but @tlyarncrafts has a ton of them! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow! Thank you for once again providing the resources that I need to keep my brain from melting.😜 Happy New Year!❤
Haha!! I know the feeling! Happy New Year!! 💞
How do you figure out what hook size you used? I did the same thing with a baby blanket! I have no idea which hook I used. 😢
It depends on the project I'm working on. But I just played around with the yarn and different hooks around the size of the recommended one. I just chose the one that worked better for me. Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶
Great idea. I gave a homemade gift for Christmas for the first time. It was so well received, I'm looking forward to making more gifts.
That's wonderful!! Thanks for sharing! 🎄
Thank you for the wonderful planners! so kind!
You are so welcome! Hope you enjoy using it! 💞
Supeeer! Love it! ❤🥺
So glad! 💞
Great ideas! Happy New Year Aunty E!!!
Haha!! Thank you! 💞💞💞
Thank you Elise, this is all so helpful. I always start good the beginning of the year, than after a while I let it slip . I am determined to follow true this whole year ❤
Me too!!! I want to keep it going all year long! 💞
Happy stitching and Happy New Year.
Happy New Year!! 🎉
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Hallo Alice 😊
Did you send me this message? About the prize? I have big suspicions that someone is trying to bug your channel or something.
Thank you, Elise. Your workbooks are the best!!!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like them! 💞💞💞
Love your channel :) thanks!
Thank you so much! 💞💞💞
Thanks for the video Elise! I have what I call my fiber diary that I’ve been keeping for the last 18 months and I’ve found it very helpful. Your planner looks to be even better! I always have the best intentions about what I’m going to do but then the girls at knit night show me something new and I’m sidetracked 😱I’m going to finish my Toft Hot Chocolate guy then start on a color work cowl 😳🧶…… Karen from Greenleaf Idaho
That's awesome, Karen! I can only imagine how wonderful and distracting a knitting group could be!!! Sounds like you're having a blast though!! 💞💞💞
@@EliseRoseCrochet I am ☺️, who knew that a LYS could be such fun😎
I was just doing this this morning as you posted this video.
Haha!! Good timing!! 💞💞💞
I'm sorry Elise but when I go to your subscribe page there is no place to subscribe. I have scrolled through the whole page. Is there something I am missing?
Let me check on that! Thank you for letting me know!! ❤️
It should be fixed now!! ❤️

Gosh how I love this video! I'm a busy homeschooling mom of four, and I just finished my youngest's baby blanket and want to crochet blankets for my older two daughters. Two blankets in a year is daunting for me, but I think planning all this out will give me the confidence to get them done! I plan everything else, so I don't know why it didn't occur to me to plan my crochet. You are brilliant, Elise. Thank you!
Haha!! So glad it helped! I was also a homeschooling mom of four for 20 years so I know how busy you are!! 💞
