Wow! You made a lot of things! All of them look FANTASTIC😍 the bride and groom are SO CUTE!!!! Not finishing projects unless there is a deadline reminded me of Elyse myers saying “something about having enough time isn’t motivating enough”😂

I turned 56 last year and I realized that I am old. I need to do this too. I need my crojo back. I hurt my back before Christmas and I’m just now starting to feel better so hopefully I will be able to get my crojo back.
I started a project journal this year. I have one project complete and 2 wips right now. My goals for 2024 is to start a temperature blanket for the year I was married and to learn Tunisian crochet.
Ok, where's the duck? Just kidding 😂 Can't wait to see the completed project and the patterns. I am also a procrastinator, so I feel your pain. I had so many projects planned for this year and just didn't plan ahead enough to get them all done. I have recently organized my yarn collection and hope that will enable me to plan and work better. Happy New Year!
Elise, another great video full of food for thought. I'm working on three afghans at the moment but, would switch immediately if Mr. Groom comes along 😂. I wouldn't crochet him as a groom more just like an average man.👞. Keep up the wonderful work
Thank you!! He's on the list and have been getting the pattern written! The ducks will come first, then the groom. I don't work very quickly so it will take time. 📆🐑❤️🧶
I hadn't planned on making a whole lot for Christmas last month, and instead was going to work crochet baubles over some old ornaments. Well, after I made one couple a hand-holding "smitten," I figured I had to make something for my other kids (2 and a bonus one). That really had my back to the wall! I had also planned on this Christmas to be "the" Christmas where I learned to crochet snowflakes! Didn't happen! So I'm looking forward to using the planner - thank you for that, and for your videos. I think I had one year where I scheduled knitting and that was only because I signed up for a year-long make-along for a UK yarnie I follow. Couldn't buy any new yarn either. So, bonus! Like you, I think I operate better if I have a deadline, so I'm going to keep that in mind when I plan out my yarnie things this year. I've been recruited to "whip up" some prayer shawls so I'll definitely have to enforce my own deadlines! Thanks for everything!
After my last-minute crocheting of Christmas 2022 I no longer take on that pressure! I decided to crochet ornaments and slippers for everyone and my son-in-law ended up with one slipper Christmas morning because I ran out of time. I finished it later that day and it’s still a good laugh for him and for me. I wanted to have a granny square blanket done for a gift in 2023 but it didn’t get done so I’m working on that now. This year’s resolution is to finish WIPs and not start new projects. I don’t have room for more yarn or head space for more projects! So nice to see you and your furry friends - Love your inspiration and cheerful attitude, Elise! ❤
Love my Happy Planner Makes. I got the one for sewing last year and loved it very much. I got 1 package of the extra project pages & then couldn't find anymore. This year's book covers more areas but not as specialized. Your planner pages will fill in nicely for me. I am just like you, deadlines help this procrastinator, get things done. Thanks for everything you do for us yarnies!
Ok, this has nothing to do with the content of your video, but I have to tell you I LOVE YOUR SWEATER!!! I love foxes and I am super envious of your sweater! 🦊
Thank you for your video. This was very helpful. I’m trying to build my crochet business and treating it more seriously would definitely help. I love your work. On the calendar pages I’m adding your bride and groom to July for my nieces weddings in Oct. I’m the same as you with deadlines lol.
Came here for the calendar idea. Got the added bonus of seeing your Christmas decorations that gives me an idea on what to do with a fruit stand I have!
Oh boy. I wasn’t even thinking of planning my year of crochet but now I really want to. I just started really crocheting in 2023 and made so many things but still have way too many WIPS. 😅
Thank you for the planner idea. Was wondering if your named after someone my grandma’s name was Elise never heard of anyone else with that name. I had always wanted to do knitted socks as well, I have made 5 pairs this year and most likely will have 3 more in January. My inspiration was the helped by watching The crazy sock Lady here on RUclips she has a free vanilla sock pattern tutorial that is so easy to follow . She also does other sock pattern designs that she creates. I also follow her Instagram. I started watching your RUclips channel about a few months ago. I have to say I just love your crochet toys!!! They are so adorable. I have been crocheting for 50 years now I learned at 5 from my great grandmother. Her home was everything crochet. I really enjoy your videos Thank you again..
At this point in my life, I plan to start crocheting at least daily. I really liked your idea of crocheting in the morning. Next step is make a plan for RUclips. Thank you for inspiration ❤
Deadlines are so important for me. I’ve discovered I’m more of a small project person, but I made two blankets in 2023. A Halloween blanket, so I had to be done by Halloween, and a Christmas one and I decided I needed to finish by Thanksgiving and I planned how many pieces I needed to make every day and how many to attach every week, worked perfectly. A sweater I started shortly after Halloween though, because it wasn’t as utgent, it’s still half done in the WIP bin 😂
Elise, Im tackeling socks this year too! Im using sock tutorials by Knitty Natty and The Crazy Sock Lady here on RUclips. After watching one your videos in which you mentioned that you wished you had taken better notes while creating your bride & groom, I visited my local Dollar Tree and picked up a couple of their composition books and a couple of smaller notebooks they carry. I started keeping track of my project information - pattern name, designer, where I found the pattern, the yarn I'm using, if said yarn was from my stash (and if it's still available on the market - I'm currently using what may very well be the last known skein of Lion Brand Sock Ease in existence. Lol!), the hook/needles I'm using, my start/finish dates, and notes on any changes/alterations I'm doing along the way - like if I'm making a shortie sock, how many sts i cast on and number of rows I knit in the leg and foot portions ect. One composition book is dedicated to my first attempt at designing a poncho for my niece. I started before the holidays but, was pulled from that project to make holiday gifts so, I'm really glad I started writing everything down as I was going. Elise, I'm so sorry for having such a long comment. You're such an inspiration and so much fun to spend time with. My excitement kinda snowballs, turning my comments into novellas. 😁 💜✌️🧶🤟
2023 seemed to go by super slow for me until I started to crochet. The weeks and months flew by and I hardly noticed because I was so buried in all my projects!😅 I'm also a fly by the seat of my pants gal. my last christmas present was finished at 5:00 in the morning on cmas eve😅
I love that your cats made appearances! I have three cat babies, but only one is my knitting/crochet buddy. This is a great idea and I’m definitely downloading your journal and putting it in my Happy Planner. I used to be super organized but then life happened and I’ve been really trying to get back to that place. Your video has inspired me to sit down and get it all on paper. So THANK YOU! One of my LYS is doing a KAL with Stone Knits. I really want to sign up, but I’ve never done any color work, and I’ve only ever knitting one sock (not one pair, just one…of the pair, lol). Her patterns are stunning and I may just need to buy that book and drool over them for a while.
Thankfully I finished all my projects that I started in 2023 before the end of the year. Even the ones I didnt want to finish. I frogged a couple. But most I finished. I wanted to finish everything before I start knitting the lopi sweater. So had something to look forward too and wouldn't do until all other projects were finished. So having that motivation helped. But deadlines help me too. Started the lopi sweater by petite knit on the 1st. Finished the turtleneck and on row 10 of colourwork. Having a lot of fun. First colourwork sweater.
@@EliseRoseCrochet it was hard for me to understand but that might just be because I've never done colourwork. And her sweater has 6 colours. A friend from my knitting group helped me understand the pattern. You might have better luck though lol. But I do love her projects
Thank for the planner……. Hopefully it will help me down size my yarn stash and learn to knit something other than dishcloths. Want to make mittens for family and friends. ❤❤ Also, I have 7 cats and they rule the house and me as well. 🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈❤❤❤ Thank You again.
Elise I just found you . What a great way starting the new year. I love all your crochet I learned to crochet from a friend when we were all in the military. She taught me take granny squares and then I started making all kinds of stuff but I hadn't crochet in years but lately I got back into in when I seem something made with granny squares. I have been watching lots of your videos and thank you I have learn lots. ❤
This was a very inspiring and motivating video! Thank you Elise for the 2024 journal! For stash busting this year, I am presenting a scarf a month pattern to my LYS crochet class now through October so we can donate them to our local Lioness Club for their "Chase the Chill" event in November. They hang all the colorful scarves in our small town triangle for anyone to take for free. Such a fun event!
Thank you for the organizational nudge! Just printed my crochet journal and hopefully getting my projects organized will also lead to getting my closet organized! 😁
Dear Elise, Thank you for sharing it’s always inspiration for me to see what you as a crochet designer have to share. I absolutely agree with you I was working on some crochet temperature/chocolate- lollie snakes 🐍 (Planet June) and I had a deadline December 31st (now I only started the three in November 2023) I managed to get the two temperature snakes done on time but I didn’t get to complete my Chocolate-lollie snake (marking what was eaten throughout the year). So I have vowed to complete it by the end of this month, I need a deadline otherwise it will remain as a WIP 🤦🏻♀️🙀 I also have a lot of yarn that I’ve accumulated from when I first started crocheting in 2017-2018. I used some during the making of those snakes but I seriously thought I would have used way more than I actually did. I guess I need to make some quick blankets and plushies with the yarn 🧶 then I can purchase some more 😆 Thank you for sharing your wonderful planner with me. Your kitties Mr Pickle and Miss Olive are adorable as always. My Sassy says “Meow”! Take care and stay safe and well. God’s blessings to you and your family 🙏🏼💗🧶🦋🐶😻
I want to start off by saying this video was great! ~for those who prefer digital planners~ I downloaded the free printable planner, but I prefer digital planners, so……… I am not a digital pro so I don’t know how to get it into my Goodnotes on my IPad, but I do have work I do on my much larger Samsung S7 FE. I was able to download it into Samsung Notes. I then, only on project pages or month pages I added a picture I wanted for reference. Because I am not a pro on notes the pic only places on the far left. So keep that in mind. Otherwise, I can add pages as needed in the page sorter and rearrange as, or if needed and even put my downloaded images on the newly added pages. This is super fabulous for me as I have been trying for the last 2 years to not buy paper products. Thank you for making this wonderful template for me to use for crochet. It will help me stay on track for once with my projects 😂😂❤❤
Hi! I am totally the opposite, if I dont write, and I mean write with a pen on a piece of paper whatever I am working on or plan to do, it just flies out the window, hahaha Thus, I tried downloading the planner but without any success, how did you do it? Any advice/ instructions/guidance/ANYTHING??? Thnks so much!
From my Samsung based laptop, I open the Gmail the download came in. From there I select the download button, and it opens my files pop up window to select option to save to. I selected desktop . It saved on my desktop as a pdf. Now after saving, when I open it, it opens as a pdf file in a new tab. I hope this helps. Reach out again if it doesn't ❤

I panic there for a few, I thought somehow I had missed your duck pattern! But no you hadn't finished it yet, :( I do love that your cats want to be a part of everything, mine do too lol. I have been working on my 2024 list, I put personal goals , projects and stash busting in as well. I finished most of the projects i wanted last year and your journal helped with that, i am gonna cut back on reqeust things though with an exception here and there. I wanna work on my own projects more and be able to do other things on weekends than just crochet or knitting. I’ve been down on myself because I thought I didn’t get much done last year…hah! I discovered through filling out the projects completed in 2023 page that I finished 41 projects and possibly a few more I forgot about! I love everything about this planner! I can’t wait to see what I get accomplished in 2024 now that I’m organized! Thank you so much and I hope you do this every January!

@EliseRoseCrochet Hi again, Elise! That channel is Roxanne Richardson. She is a master knitter, but I think you can finish anything and send a photo. She puts it in a slideshow (I think) in the beginning of March. I've learned a lot from her!
Have signed up to download the planner. I most likely won't fill in every page but there are a few I will certainly use. Writing down notes for my current WIP will be very handy especially for something as simple as remembering what needle size I'm using. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Elise. Watching you think and plan was definitely inspiring. I have a few things planned out for the year but I left lots of room for being flexible. Your planner looks great. I joined the email list for one. Thank you. :)

I love, love, love, your channel. I, too, am trying to be more deliberate in my crocheting this year, instead of “going on a whim”.. Thank you so much for your planner.. I can’t wait to download it. Thank you for all of your content!!!
Elise, I was surprised at something. There seemed to be so much more energy when you were upstairs at the beginning of the video! I think it’s a combination of all of the natural light AND your beautiful home. Even the audio seemed brighter. I know you like feedback, so I wanted to share! Your colorwork sweater looks great, almost done! You can do it!
I am just watching this in the almost middle of January and I'm about to start working again after the holidays, but I am definitely giving your journal a try. I am trying to be more realistic about my expectations of what I want to do and what I can actually have done while having two jobs and I think this is a great tool to visualize and organize things . Thank you so much Elise!!! Hope you can get many things done this year 🎉
So this year I'll be 4-0. I've already started my list for this year. I'm not overwhelmed! I'm good! And then the ducks came in... Why?! 😂😂😂 I'll be waiting patiently. Where is the duck?! 😅😅😅😅 It's grannies for me this year. And amigurumi. And many of the patterns I'm finishing and/or starting are recommendations from you ❤
Your journal looks very comprehensive! Has everything you may need. If I had one, I would probably do my writing in pencil ✏️ due to mistakes or changes I would invariably make. My goal for something new to learn is how to crochet short rows. Thank you for your video. And I love your cats!!

Hi Elise I've been watching your videos( from England ) since last September and your tips have helped me a lot. I have made your mouse and little pigs I'm.so pleased will results . Thank you Vera
Elise, thank you for these suggestions and the 2024 Planner. I got the planner right away and can't wait to start using it. I didn't start my Christmas gifts until December. I got them all done except my dad's. His room is very cold and I wanted to make him a throw blanket that had a warm stitch. He saw the continual granny square blanket I mad my goddaughter and liked it but, as a Korean War veteran he wanted one with his division badge on it. Luckily, I learned the corner to corner stitch because his division has alternating diagonal stripes in blue and white. If I had had a planner I would have been able to plan out my gifts and make them throughout the year, or at least the last few months of the year. I hope this works for me. I need to get organized. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed New Year.

So nice to see you and your furry friends - Love your inspiration and cheerful attitude, Elise! ❤
Lo!! Sounds like you have a good plan in place!! 📆🐑❤️🧶
I your enthusiasm, it’s addictive!
Thank you!! 📆🐑❤️🧶
I'm so glad you like the planner! 🧶🧶🧶
Ok, this has nothing to do with the content of your video, but I have to tell you I LOVE YOUR SWEATER!!! I love foxes and I am super envious of your sweater! 🦊
Haha!! Thank you!! It's one of my favorites! 🦊🦊🦊
Thank you for your video. This was very helpful. I’m trying to build my crochet business and treating it more seriously would definitely help. I love your work. On the calendar pages I’m adding your bride and groom to July for my nieces weddings in Oct. I’m the same as you with deadlines lol.
Thank you! I hope I'll have the bride and groom patterns done in time! ❤️❤️
You crack me up! “Hey where’s the duck”. Priceless
I love watching you. Thanks for keeping yourself REAL
Big hug.
Haha! Thanks for holding me accountable! 😂
Came here for the calendar idea. Got the added bonus of seeing your Christmas decorations that gives me an idea on what to do with a fruit stand I have!
I'm so glad! 🧶🧶🧶
Please, please publish those duckies!! I love all your videos, I have made amigurumi for ten years.
Oh I'm going to!! It's happening later this month or early February!! 🦆🦆🦆
This magazine is very good. I like to count the toys I crocheted in a year. It is very suitable for it.
There were 393 amigurumi in 2023.
thank you ;)
Wow!!! That's amazing! 🧶🧶🧶
I love all your energy. I completely understand being ruled by the kitties. I have 4 who just love to stop my crocheting. Lol
Haha!! These cats have me well trained! 🤣
Oh boy. I wasn’t even thinking of planning my year of crochet but now I really want to. I just started really crocheting in 2023 and made so many things but still have way too many WIPS. 😅
I am really enjoying planning my projects! 🧶🧶🧶
That's wonderful! I love the Crazy Sock Lady! She's amazing!! And I was named after the Beethoven piece "Fur Elise". 📆🐑❤️🧶
Elise, what the duck?!!? That toy is so cute, looking forward to the pattern! 😊
Haha!!!! 🦆 Thank you!! I'm going to get it out later this month or early February! 🧶❤️🐑📆
I literally screamed from happiness to see your new video! I started crocheting 2 months ago and you’re such an inspiration
Awww! Thank you! 📆❤️🐑🧶
At this point in my life, I plan to start crocheting at least daily. I really liked your idea of crocheting in the morning. Next step is make a plan for RUclips. Thank you for inspiration ❤
Wonderful! Enjoy your mornings with crochet! ☀️
Welcome (almost) to the five-OH club! Lol. Happy New Year! Thanks for the link!!! You rock ☺️🫶🏻🧶🥶
Haha!! Thank you!! I'm excited to be 50 this summer! 📆🐑❤️🧶
So excited for the ducks!. bride and groom look beautiful. I love the colors you chose for the new groom.
Thank you!! 🧶❤️🐑📆
Thank you for the beautiful planner. Your amigarumi friends are so delightful.
Thank you so much! 📆🐑❤️🧶
I'm the exact same way!! Give me a deadline and it will get done!! 📆🐑❤️🧶
Elise,
Im tackeling socks this year too!
💜✌️🧶🤟
Please don't apologize! I love reading comments! Thanks for sharing what is working well for you! 🧶🧶🧶

Yes time is going so fast. Looking forward to seeing what you have in mind thank you
Thank you! 📆🐑❤️🧶
2023 seemed to go by super slow for me until I started to crochet. The weeks and months flew by and I hardly noticed because I was so buried in all my projects!😅
I'm also a fly by the seat of my pants gal. my last christmas present was finished at 5:00 in the morning on cmas eve😅
Lol!! You're a gal after my own heart!! 📆🐑❤️🧶
Oh that's amazing that your LYS is doing a Stone Knits KAL! I love her patterns! Happy Planning! 📆🧦🐑❤️🧶
Oooh!!! I love her patterns!!! I would love to hear your thoughts on the pattern! Her work is amazing!! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet it was hard for me to understand but that might just be because I've never done colourwork. And her sweater has 6 colours. A friend from my knitting group helped me understand the pattern. You might have better luck though lol. But I do love her projects
Half a century!!! That's an awesome accomplishment - I hope you have fun celebration plans.
Thank you!! It's not until late summer, so I've come some time to think about it! 📆🐑❤️🧶
Lol!! I can't imagine having 7 cats!! My two absolutely despise one another! 🥴
Elise I just found you . What a great way starting the new year. I love all your crochet
I learned to crochet from a friend when we were all in the military. She taught me take granny squares and then I started making all kinds of stuff but I hadn't crochet in years but lately I got back into in when I seem something made with granny squares. I have been watching lots of your videos and thank you I have learn lots. ❤
That's wonderful! Thanks for sharing! 🧶❤️🐑📆
This was a very inspiring and motivating video! Thank you Elise for the 2024 journal! For stash busting this year, I am presenting a scarf a month pattern to my LYS crochet class now through October so we can donate them to our local Lioness Club for their "Chase the Chill" event in November. They hang all the colorful scarves in our small
town triangle for anyone to take for free. Such a fun event!
That is wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I’ll have to try some of your tips. I’m such a procrastinator. I’ll work on that.
It's such a bad habit that I'm working on too! 📆🐑❤️🧶
I totaly agree, with the year flying by. Ugh!
Yes!! Where did it go??? 🤣
Thank you for the organizational nudge! Just printed my crochet journal and hopefully getting my projects organized will also lead to getting my closet organized! 😁
You are so welcome! ❤️
Dear Elise,
Thank you for sharing it’s always inspiration for me to see what you as a crochet designer have to share.
So I have vowed to complete it by the end of this month, I need a deadline otherwise it will remain as a WIP 🤦🏻♀️🙀
I also have a lot of yarn that I’ve accumulated from when I first started crocheting in 2017-2018. I used some during the making of those snakes but I seriously thought I would have used way more than I actually did. I guess I need to make some quick blankets and plushies with the yarn 🧶 then I can purchase some more 😆
Thank you for sharing your wonderful planner with me.
Your kitties Mr Pickle and Miss Olive are adorable as always. My Sassy says “Meow”!
Take care and stay safe and well. God’s blessings to you and your family 🙏🏼💗🧶🦋🐶😻
Awww! Give Sassy a pet from me! I had a cat named Sassy growing up, a beautiful Siamese! 📆🐑❤️🧶
I will! Oh wow, that’s awesome I’m sure she was as Sassy as my girl 😜
Hi! I am totally the opposite, if I dont write, and I mean write with a pen on a piece of paper whatever I am working on or plan to do, it just flies out the window, hahaha
Thus, I tried downloading the planner but without any success, how did you do it? Any advice/ instructions/guidance/ANYTHING???
Thnks so much!
From my Samsung based laptop, I open the Gmail the download came in. From there I select the download button, and it opens my files pop up window to select option to save to. I selected desktop . It saved on my desktop as a pdf. Now after saving, when I open it, it opens as a pdf file in a new tab. I hope this helps. Reach out again if it doesn't ❤

What a wonderful gift for your dad!!! I hope the planner helps! 📆🐑❤️🧶
