    Hey Beckett. Was waiting for this review.
    Was going to follow your advice from some time ago to switch for Vcore 95 but had a chance to play with GPro and holy damn that was love at first sight. Instant buy.
    I 100% agree with you that is probably the best paintjob in the market atm. Subtle, sleek, elegant.
    And I also concur that it’s a demanding racket. But I like the feel that it makes me commit myself to do better even as a recreational player.
    Absolutely beast of a stick.

    I have not played with anything else since I first picked up a Gravity Pro in 2019. It is a hammer off of serve, and as one of the rare players that run around their forehand to hit a massive 2h backhand, it is the perfect match. I also experience a slight lack of maneuverability on the forehand side, but I do not hit with a lot of spin anyways.

    • @eadamic17

      @@mauriciodenardipeterlevitz3694 Interesting question. The new Auxetic version feels noticeably dampened in comparison to the 2019-2021 model in my experience. At first I did not like this, but I have become used to it. I have two of the 2023 version, and I experience that both are also slightly easier to swing than the previous edition. It is worth a try if you can test one, but I would say that if you have a 2019 version which is still in good shape there is very little to gain by making the update immediately.

    Demo'd the Gravity Pro, and it's really an amazing feeling when you just plow through the ball. I liked the controlled nature of this racquet while still having a forgiving sweet spot. I'm only a 3.0 player, but among the Pure Aero 100 and Pro Staff X that I demo'd, I had too much fun with this racquet to not buy it. Not sure if I should even be sniffing the same stratosphere as a pro racquet, but I do lift weights quite often, so it may help with handling this beast.

      I haven't tried the 97D, but the GPro feels like a lot more racquet than the base 97. The 97 is fast and whippy, but gets pushed around easily by hard hitters, the GPro is hefty and won't get bullied as long as you can keep up with the ball. Feel-wise, I prefer the Percepts to the Auxetic Gravity, for me, a little more pure and less muted.

    It's a very slow ball coming off both sides with the Head Gravity Pro, I can see in your video, not to be compared with the Head Speed 2024, speed over the net. I practiced with the Head Gravity and bought the Head Speed MP. I couldn't penetrate my opponent who was of a high standard, when using the Head Gravity, but I could keep hitting the ball for long periods but would be found out for lack of ball speed off the racquet once my opponent worked out I couldn't penetrate him with the Head Gravity, so I didn't purchase the Gravity, though I like it for control purposes but not with a high standard opponent who as happened will find you out with that racquet by pouncing on insufficiently strong returns with it.

    Im a 3.0 -3.5 player (playing for 2,5 years, once a week just with a friend - no competitive yet).
    33year old male.
    I like to hit big from the baseline more, than rushing through the net.
    I’m trying to play with spin but I’m not the best spin player of my technique. So if I try to hit winners, I often shoot em too flat and they are going too long - out.
    I’m actually playing the 2023 head extreme mp, because I thought „if I’m not good enough to generate spin with a good technique, maybe the extreme mp can help me with it.
    But now I’m thinking, maybe I need a more control friendly racket.
    I’m thinking of the speed or the gravity line.
    But I don’t know which is better for me and which model i should take (MP, Tour, Pro of gravity or speed)
    What do you suggest me to get?

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom  5 месяцев назад +1

      I would stick with your Extreme and try adjusting strings first. If that doesn't work, try the Radical MP which will give you a lot more control while still being quite forgiving. The Speed MP and Gravity MP need a lot of spin to control and the Tour and Pro swing very heavy and slow which can be tough when you don't have fully developed footwork.

    I play with the 2021 GP and liked the 2023 version with Auxetic. Agree that off center hits gave me more feedback. Was looking for playability around the net but it's my technique, not the racket. Fixed the technique and getting better results. Pretty heavy rackets and will likely move to a more maneuverable stick as I play mostly doubles and take a lot of short hop balls... Thinking Prestige or new Speed Pro. Won't rule out Wilson v9 98 but like the Head innovation with Auxetic. I liked that the racket "stiffened" on bigger swings and impacts, thought it helped me keep more balls in play and improved accuracy... It wasn't enough to make me switch though.. Feel is a funny thing.

    I currently play both a 2019 Gravity Tour and Pro. I have had them for years but only recently adopted them as my main racquets after randomly trying a hybrid of Lynx Tour 1.25 mains and Velocity 1.30 crosses (at 46 lbs) and finding magic! Somehow this combination of strings increased the stability and forgiveness on both frames which were lacking for different reasons, without overpowering the frames or losing control. This has been a seriously amazing transformation. The Pro was surprisingly unstable off-center with balls dying at the edge of the frame when strung with Confidential 17. The Tour, also with Confidential 17 plus a couple of grams at 8 & 4 and 1g at 12, was more stable but saddled with off-putting flexing and vibration. With these strings everything is easier. My serve is more reliable, my OHBH is solid, my forehand is deep and penetrating. And yet... I am missing is the easy access to spin I had with full poly! I am hoping you can suggest a more slippery alternative to my Velocity crosses (without losing the magic!).

      @@TennCom Looks like interesting stuff. It seems to me that selection of crosses is an understudied art. Any thoughts on why my Gravities are so much more forgiving with Velocity crosses? The stringbeds aren't just softer, the stability increase is shockingly dramatic with no change in twist weight.

      nice to hear that, man! i play with a Gravity MP 2022 and i found a great combination of strings that is nears to yours... i use Lynx Tour 1.25 in the mains, with 51lbs, and Lynx Touch 1.30 in the cross, with 51lbs too... My serve improved a lot, my one hand backhand got really better too and my forehand improved spin... i liked a lot, but mine is 16x20, not 18x20... I am looking to demo a new Gravity Pro to see if i will like it or not

    If money isn't a limit. Can someone suggest the best strings for this racket. I want this string to last long as I won't be changing it

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom  10 месяцев назад

      ReString Zero will last you longer than any other polyester string. Best tension maintenance and best durability with the best spin. Feel is muted, which works well with the Gravity series in my opinion, but if you want something more connected, I'd look at Grapplesnake Tour Sniper.

      @@TennCom hi, I do sincerity appreciate your swift response. I am new to the space and really have enjoyed your content.
      Quick question, I really want to avoid any tennis elbow if possible, are these 2 good for this and what string tension do you recommend for these 2? Do you have a preference out of the 2?
      Kind regards

    Players rackets are not the Prestiges anymore? The Auxetic should be great for that line as well. seems like the thicker your beam is the worse the Auxetic helps. Maybe best for the thinner rackets and too much for the thicker ones.
