That's another good video Chief. No matter what Mother Nature throws your way, there's always things to do on a ship whether cargo or passenger. And I know the bridge crew was working double time monitoring all the radars and other tools they use for navigation and collision avoidance. 🙂 Keep up the good videos and thank you for your service. Another interesting video, thank you, Sir! I do have a few questions. Are the holds cleaned with any kind of soap or neutralizer prior to being washed down? Is the washdown water sea water, or does it need to be desalinated prior to being used as a rinse of the holds? I understand the reason for a clean hold prior to landing for a new load, however depending upon the previous load carried, is the wash/rinse water filtered, allowed to settle to remove particulate or is it just pumped overboard? Thanks for doing such a professional job with your recordings!
Chief, when a vessel sails in a very low visibility condition such as this, I guess you have to sail using radar as the guide but how slow do you have to reduce the speed to? Or this is depending on situation and traffic in the vicinity of your ship?

That's one of my earliest episodes. I didn't know what I was doing back then. Just hold on a little bit longer. In a few months I'll be back on a ship and making a lot more videos.
