I am just glad the high republic now has a live action flagpole and a beachhead for more
YES!!
I appreciated the theming of accountability in this episode. It had me completely turn around on Mae as a character. Too often when we make the “villain” empathetic it goes too far in absolving them. The fact that she said “I’m sorry” for her contribution to that night was what I was hoping and glad to hear.
Thanks for still being excited about this show! I loved it. Great action, great look, great new take on writing Star Wars material. There's so many naysayers out there about the show and I'm getting tired of it. Glad to see someone else likes it!
The power of manyyyyyyy
Venestra is projecting… She has done the same thing she states about Sol to the senators
I enjoyed The Acolyte! Great action scenes, and I love the new approach using the mystery format. To make this season even better, I think they could have gone all in on the format. Have you ever heard of Agatha Christie the Wise? Every mystery needs someone in a detective role to figure things out that the audience can solve the problem with. This season just revealed what happened in flashbacks, which interrupts the flow of the narrative. It would have been an even better script if Vernestra had a long investigation where she figured things out. Plus, it would be a smoother season end with Vernestra as the main remaining Jedi. If we're going to have a mystery format, then let's go all in like Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None! That would have been off the charts brilliant!
I stuck around for the whole season and praying to the Sith Lords that that’s the last we see of The Acolyte. The only Star Wars project coming up that I have any hope for is the final season of Andor. Stoked that you guys enjoyed it but I’m left disappointed again by another series
Did I understand you correctly? Because you didn't like the show you are hoping that no one will ever be able to see more of it in the future? So even the people who enjoyed it shouldn't be able to watch more of it because you don't like it? Sounds a bit selfish to me. Like, you can just not watch it if they decide to renew for another season.
@@Breno_Lira you’re right, just because I am not interested in a second season, doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t happen.
Sorry @Willi.am05, I think your reply got blocked or deleted - I saw that you wrote something but I can’t see it here 🤷♂️
I love me the Star War.
I think to Mike's point near the end about possibly putting too many eggs into a possible season 2 or 3...
If we are getting a season 2, they really can't make us wait 3+ years for it. The gap between Wandavision and the Agatha show was too big and if they do the same thing with a possible season 2, I fear for the amount of people that will lose any excitement or care about it.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
The Acolyte finally made me reconnect with Star Wars. I love Andor, but THIS is what brought me back. I’m very, VERY confident that this is getting a season 2.
Would be curious to see, if we get season 2, that the Senator Vernestra speaks with is on the payroll (willingly or unwillingly) of the Sith Master at that time.
