I scrambled a lot on my 2019 Interceptor and it was awesome. Definitely not for technical trails or aggressive dirt riding, but the engine is a peach off-road and I did stuff that bike was never meant to do (and paid the price for it). The weight is so low that it was easy to pick up by the handlebar when I dropped it, not like, say, the lighter-on-paper T7. This is the bike I always wish my Interceptor was, and I mainly fault it for taking so long to get to the market. Since then I've replaced my Interceptor with a Himmy 450 for off-road and a Yamaha MT-07 for the street, so the Bear no longer has a place in my garage being neither very powerful nor very capable off-road. That said: Wish I had the space for it!
As an interceptor owner, this should just be the replacement for the int. Better looking, better suspension and better rider’s triangle. Perfect upgrade to the INT. But also, this isn’t really a scram so year, INT update.
not a better suspension - the back is stiff as hell even if the front one has more travel , worse tyres .... interceptor is still better ; if you want to scram , buy 400x.... but if you want to be a better driver and get more raw feedback without any modulation by suspension and tyre for smoother ride buy one!
Understand this that when you buy a stock 650 and then upgrade with all sort of modifications to it and eventually the price goes up. Bear 650 comes with a alot of new features, if you do the same changes on a stock 650 it will be more expensive because of aftermarket products. So the pricing is at point here.
The RE 650 platform doesn't look like it should be for scrambling. This seems to be quite heavy for this purpose. A futile attempt by Royal Enfield, just to roll out as many bike options on the 650 platform as possible
the bikes dont need to be criticized, for what it is just a machine of thought. what makes the bike integral is the heart of the rider to say what it really potently feels like, some average joe says this is wrong with the bike or i dont like this that which dont matter. for what this bike is all is how its gonna be ridden. royal riddance haha

Now I am considering a Bear 650, everything I liked on the bike, Now I am considering whether I can replace Bear's tyre with Interceptor 650 alloy wheels, or may be some short after suspension setup that will reduce the height of the bike. The booking is done, still waiting for the delivery. Can some guys help me out here? What would be the best way to deal with this height?
I have been looking to buy a scrambler under 4L, i recently decided to go for the Huskey Svartpilen 401 and just got to know that RE launched there own Scrambler with the "650 TWIN CYLINDER ENGINE" which is a very big point to drop my plan for the Huskey but after looking at it idk it fells really odd maybe its just me but the handle bar on it gives a very odd vibe to me i am a very big fan of that engine but the design ticks me a lil, idk if its just me but i think a scrambler should look like something u would take out in a zombie apocalypse but this doesn't look like a Scrambler (TO ME) form anywhere i wish this had a lil different design and the Foot Pegs position is also a (-) point for me. Although i still love the 650 engine but for now i will be going with the Huskey only.
I, myself have ridden this bike both in highways and offroad. It is a mixture of interceptor amd himalayan. I loved this beast so much and now planning to purchase bear 659.
RE already have better product than triumph 400x (i.e guerrilla). If you want to compare then compare it with guerrilla. These 650s are not the competition

This 216 kg bike would be handful if you got puncture in middle of nowhere and you dont even have centre stand. Roadside puncture shops might not have paddock stand. ! It can be serious safety concern in Indian condition.
Actually it lost nothing because when you mount the missing center stand it will weigh the same as the interceptor.Which is just fine.Light enough for gravel and two track but heavy enough to feel solid on the highway. The winds of the great plains in the United States are quite extreme and the wind belt can be 3 or 4 hundred miles wide.

Royal Enfield needs their products to be improved it's not a scrambler instead of launching new models focus on technical specifications, competitive brands etc
It is a scrambler in every sense of its the historical meaning of the term.A scrambler is not a new design but a basic modification to a UBM or UJM bike making it acceptable for light off-road and gravel but still great on. the highway. Not as extreme as some ADV bikes and certainly not a dual sport. A regular Interceptor with a few basic mods is a better scrambler in dirt mud and sand than the stock scramblers offered by anyone else.More clearance, more reliable engine, smoother, more affordable and easier maintenance. This Bear is just one step better because of the slight rake and wheelbase increase.

All of the commenting about scram 400x and the bear scarm seems like the more better option yess it has one cylinder less and almost 5-7bhp less too bt what u forget is ghe weight so the power to weight ratio is one thing people dont keep in regard. Also I personally feel the 650 is good for touring, a bit offroading bt that weight even with the 650 seems more than what u ask for.

Bro as an INT650 owner I think it's better to go with the new product since it has better suspension (a major sore point of our INT and Contis). I would have suggested the Classic 650 but its gonna be weighing 243kgs with a meagre 154 MM ground clearance...I think apart from the tubed tyres, the BEAR is a good proposition.

At Rs. 4 lacs on road, we can get a more potential soft roader than this. Those who wanted an Interceptor with a better suspension and spoke wheels, this Bear 650 is for them. Otherwise, it doesn't feel special enough to spend Rs. 4 lacs.

I hope that had made this scrambler style bike in the 450 cc vertical they are building, that would've definitely made it lighter with a massive loss in power, its a shame because i feel the 650cc engine is being overused by Royal Enfield that takes away from that charm of being their halo products.
I own a 2023 Barcelona Blue. As an owner, I would suggest you to cancel your booking and go for the BEAR because of the better suspension. I don't know if looks matter to you (to me my Interceptor still looks better than the BEAR but looks are subjective). The only downside is the tubed tyres. I would suggest wait for the BEAR, take a test ride and then decide.
Aspect ratio of your videos is just wrong, it destroys viewingexperience. Please check it. Either make it 19.5:9(most smartphones of today) or good old 16:9.

This is another lifestyle bike. Cannot do any scrambler stuff it just looks like one. Just get the Himalayan if someone wants to go offroading India is heaven for offroading enthusiasts lots mountains and trails not to mention our pothole roads for which Himalayan is just better.
People need to realise, this is a Scrambler style road bike.. like the Husky Svartpilen.. few people shall take it ' scrambling '...

I own a 2023 Barcelona Blue. As an owner, I would suggest you to cancel your booking and go for the BEAR because of the better suspension. I don't know if looks matter to you (to me my Interceptor still looks better than the BEAR but looks are subjective). The only downside is the tubed tyres. I would suggest wait for the BEAR, take a test ride and then decide.
