Yes sampling is the way with the expensive one, my blind buy limit is about £35-40 so pretty low. I don't want to be stuck reselling things I don't enjoy and losing a lot of money on them. I really want to try some jhag, I might get a discovery set, they always sound interesting to me.
I thought of getting their discovery set but I only wanted to try Pear Inc. and Lady Vengeance so I don't see a point getting a set just for the sake of trying. I probably try to get a sample of Pear Inc. or smell it in store. I'm picky with every perfume I'm getting from now on, too many likes and meh. If it's not a love for me I'm not getting a full bottle.

It's so funny how differently we perceive things: although I totally agree that Ani is strong, I've smelled Hundred Silent Ways and Fan Your Flames, and to me they were both almost non-existent? Isn't that wild? I barely smelled anything, and they were both gone within the hour. Maybe I need to try them again as they've had time to settle?

I don’t want to smell cat pee and sweat that cost 💲 to wait for it to get better lol, niche is not always different IMO and I’ve struggled with price and longevity and is it worth it🧐

I never tried musicology, that's too long to wait... I don't have that patience. I feel conflicted cos I know designer fragrances sacrifice certain things for a nice opening that doesn't necessarily translate into the drydown, but I cant wear something for 40 minutes before I will like it.
I don't think that the dry down is really worth waiting so long and paying $200 (a lot of these niche make really small "big" bottles- they're not 100ml so it's even more expensive actually). I will try it in cooler weather and other situations although I don't want to smell like that. I imagine going on a date... unless he's a gym dude with cats, it won't go well😹😹
