This is how an air defence system should be designed. Why? Because it's mobile! Shoot and scoot basically. In Ukraine the russians havn't been able to take out one single HIMARS because of the shoot and scoot doctrine. The same thinking should be used with air defence. You should stay in one place for a while, maybe a day and then move it. With larger batteries like Patriot and stuff it will be much easier to track it via satellite maps, and much harder to move it. Some say that it takes the russians 10 days to get their satellite data and then fire. It's a long process. Both Hungary and Turkish Governments are purely out for their own self interests here, they are neither Nato Team players! It is better to let Sweden join Nato, while telling both Hungary and Turkey, either agree to Sweden joining Nato now, or you can leave Nato yourself and face Russian on your own? Then see where that leaves to the Hungary and Turkish Governments, with facing coming elections in their own countries, basically being asked to leave Nato and maybe the EU too, if they do not want to be a Team Player in the joint defence of Western Europe, Because clearly Sweden and Finland already have shown they want to be Team Players in the defence of Western Europe, with Finland now a Nato member and Sweden waiting to join too! Personally if it was a choice between Sweden joining Nato and Turkey leaving Nato, welcome Sweden with open hands, also not worry to much about Turkey leaving either. As when it got down to it, neither Turkey or Hungary Governments or its citizens and voters, would select leaving Nato with the clear threat Russia and Putin is to their Countries. Especially Turkey, as Turkey is vulnerable to invasion by both land invasion in the East, also sea by Russia from the Black Sea too, that is without Nato backing up Turkey! Though maybe not so much directly to Hungary at present, unless again from an amphibious invasion by Russian Forces from the Black Sea too! So if Turkish and Hungarian Governments know what good for them, they allow Sweden to join Nato sooner rather than latter, if they are going to be good willing Nato Allies

Only 6 interceptors per launcher? Modern launchers, such as iron dome, has 16 interceptors per launcher. And what is the benefit of a non vertical launcher?
Have you seen an Iron Dome battery? That's one large unit to move around. We may not want to lay all eggs in one basket. And why do you think one radar can support several fire units? After the Cold War, Sweden's defence forces have been designed to be lean (in staff) but mean (hi-tech). BAMSE Rb 23 is a product of that concept.
Besides the other comments you already got. Have in mind that Israel a very, very small country. Therefore a similar system works. Sweden in comparison is about 25 times larger than Israel, so the Iron Dome would be pretty much useless unless you only focus on one for each of the larger cities and disregard for like 98% of the rest of Sweden. The first units deployed are also on the island of Gotland, which is a strategic point for an invasion from Russia. Gotland alone is about 15% the size of Israel.

from 1990 ? So just the shape outside is new, terrible, they announce a new weapon which is already old, other countries come up with new weapons and use them before they wait 25 years.
It reminds me of StarCraft. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I suppose Ukraine will want these too
Only 6 interceptors per launcher? Modern launchers, such as iron dome, has 16 interceptors per launcher.
And what is the benefit of a non vertical launcher?
Can the iron dome be towed by anything around? Or does it require specialized transport?
@@spkz0r yes. can be towed, moved on MAN truck and even placed as is on a moving platform such as a ship (see C-DOME)
@@TheNybergCorporation regarding iron dome transportation - yes, it can be towed, moved on MAN truck and even placed as is on a moving platform such as a ship (see C-DOME).
regarding size of defense forces, its a constant debate in Israel as well. since 2000, Israel shut down many armored brigades and tactical AA units.
С кем Швеция воевать собралась? Может Прибалтику захватить (по старой памяти)... 👀
Dont think Sweden will capture estonia Latvia Lithuania. They are in Nato .. more likely Russia will try to sabotage infrastrukture in Baltic Sea . My guess its gonna be alot Swedish and Nato presence at sea

Sweden have supported, protected and financed terrorists for many many years now. So NATO would be a perfect fit.
awfully bold to show new military equipment, especially aa defense... aren't you worried Ukraine will cry, whine and complain incessantly until you have none and they have all?
Outdated history 😅😅😅😅
The delay was actually due to that it was difficult to get it through Sweden's strict HBTQ+ certification process. The added benefit from the long wait is that Sweden's superior gender studies academics (wizards really) threw in some neat upgrades. If needed Type 23 can now identify as a S400 making it far deadlier than first imagined, on an emotional level that is.
trash system i built a better one lmao........
its not that good, if its not currently killing anyone, then its of no use.

After 5 missile its sitting duck . Its stupid . No way they can afford hundred of these in a decade.
Good thing it has 6 then, you know nothing about Military equipment mate, piss off.

deadly toy
Sweden needs to focus on crime and terrorist attacked never mind air defence ! They are coming by sea and land !
That's a job for the police, not the military.
With an overwhelming air force to clear the way for the naval ship in todays war you need combined arms. And criminality is being fought soon we get 2X jail time for gang related crime! We have bolster a lot of criminal laws with additional jail time. And the Swedish people have waken up reforms are on its way we started to talk about swexit today and compared Brussels (Europe union) as a straitjacket! Change is in the air!
