Info from people who have worked with the patriot directly (Habitual Linecrosser on RUclips for example) claim that 3 shifts of 8 hours with 10 soldiers each is most common for a battery on standby, and the number will go up if an attack seems imminent, or if the battery is spread over a larger area.

I look at it this way it is like they said it is only one part of a system of different air defense systems. For the smaller stuff you have MANPADS, the Gepard's, and other systems. I think the Patriot systems would be more for the ballistic side of things. It would be nice to see Ukraine get more of the systems and missiles to replenish what they have used so far.

A great defensive system but, can it launch cheaper missiles? Maybe a competitive system can bring down the costs for such a vital shield from multiple attacks as happening now?
There are certainly a bunch of other systems around Kyiv like NASAMS or IRIS-T SLM (soon also some SLS launchers) and SHORAD systems like Gepard.
I look at it this way it is like they said it is only one part of a system of different air defense systems. For the smaller stuff you have MANPADS, the Gepard's, and other systems. I think the Patriot systems would be more for the ballistic side of things. It would be nice to see Ukraine get more of the systems and missiles to replenish what they have used so far.

50 missiles? Or 50 launchers?! If launchers that would be more than nearly every other nation that actually paid for their Patriot batteries. Aside from the 1,000+ launchers that the US military possess. Something seems off with that demand.
$6-10mil per system, 50 represent quite a large bill someone has to pay. I could understand a dozen launchers, but 50?!
