Nicholas Mangione I feel bad for you. I have had my 2012 mustang 5.0 since new and it runs strong at 109k miles. I had my 2014 evo x gsr since new for 3 years and just traded it in for a 2019 mustang gt 10 speed. I am so fuckin happy. The evo is simply underpowered.
E85R paired with an A10 makes for fun driving in day to day scenarios and in traffic. Staying in the low and midrange rpm where the tune is rolling the timing in down low is sooooo damn nice.
blackonefifty torque is almighty in day to day scenarios.....people focus so much on horsepower yet forget where they spend most of their time in the rpm band
You N/A GT guys and gals dont know how good you have it. To run E54 (Arizona) on my 2011 GT500, Im looking at at least $4000 for a complete return fuel system and ID1300X injectors. Hats off to Ford. While they've dropped the ball getting the S550 GT500 out in a timely manner, the s550 GT's performance potential is absolutely incredible. Great video Alex. I wonder if someone is owrking on upgraded shift forks. For guys that like to row their own gears, it would be frustrating to always have breaking forks in the back of your mind.
What’s up Alex, my dedicated E85 tune from Lund is amazing! I was using a different tuning company before but I can honestly say that Lund is the best by far. I have zero drivability issues and my 16 GT is runs like stock with a ton of upgrades. Thanks again for the informative video.
I love my Lund flex tune. Not even for the power but bruhhh $2/g for E85 verses high $3s for 93. Lol, the extra power is just a bonus. 😂😂 Side note-your arms are looking huge. You been lifting?!
Chris M. Correct, I ran 93 for about a year and consistently got 250-270 miles a tank driving half bad half good. On E85 I get about 195 AT WORST I mean that’s WHOOPING on it. If I drive a lot of highway I can see almost 250 miles on E85. So for me it’s been barely a difference in miles but super nice to me at the pump lol.
Sasha Klim You do realize its the same price right? You're paying 30% more for 93 and gaining 30% more MPG. The main benefit to E85(and its a big one) is the octane level.
Jeromy Williams word. I took an average of 250 miles per tank on 93, at today’s prices of $2.50 a gallon for premium. Assuming the tank is 15.5Gal, it’s about $38.50 to fill up. On E85 it’s $1.50 a gallon, for 15.5Gal you’re at $23.25. To make up the 50 miles on the 93 tank, you’ll need an extra 3.88 gallons of E85, equaling 5.82. So on E85 I’m gaining power, and SAVING $9.43 per fill up. That’s also using these record lose gas prices, in the summer of 2018 it was way different. 93 was almost 4 bucks. E85 was only 2.15ish.
If you made a lot of money with the shift fork video, I think you'd do as well or better with a video of you replacing the factory clutch. I'd really like to see if that fixes the grinding issues on the high rpm shift. I'd really like my next mustang to be a stick but not if I have to treat it like it was made of glass. I have an 06 Roush Mustang Gt, and my teksid short block will be ready this week, forged cobra crank, 11.1 Manley pistons/ Hbeam rods, boundary billet oil pump, ported heads, all Manley valves springs, running TVS 2300(e85) What do you think about meth injection on top of that? Anyway, do you do remote tuning? Would love to let you have the car for a few, but I’m in OKC. Never know, may work something out. Been using HPP, on my old setup, but I like your style, and attention to detail with modulars. Either way, you’re one hell of a tuner, keep up the Great work, and great show, I’ve learned a lot just watching it. Thanks 👍
That crunch is the synchronizers trying to match the gear speed at your demand at high rpm! Happens to me all the time when I blow the tires off going from 1-2 on my 1200hp C6 grand sport
So if you have a flex and a E85R tune..would always recommend filling up on the flex..see the Ethanol content before switching to E85R tune? Some areas don’t always have the best the Pump E
Yes, E85R is dedicated. I buy SUNOCO E85R by the 55 gallon drum. I fill up in the garage. No need to see the percentage. It’s pure 85% with 15% race gas. I’m tuned by Lund on my 2018 GT350R and its a monster on E85R. The E85 you get from the pump is 85% ethanol (well, it should be 51-75% is what I usually see at the pump.) and 15 - 25% regular gasoline, or at least it should be. The time of year and area you live in may has a lot to do with the percentage too. E85R is 85% ethanol and 15% race fuel and that ratio does not change. With E85R, you can be certain that you're getting exactly what you think you're getting every single time. I have never seen E85R sold at a gas station. It may but I’ve never seen it.
Need help I loaded the flex tune but the engage never starts the learn process nor do I see the ALCH-_LEARN on my engage nor can I find it in the list of guages
Any downside to long term e85 use in a daily driver? On a side note your killing me trying not to mod out a car I can mod the hell out of. Lol thanks for vids. Keep’em coming
I'm just starting out so forgive my ignorance. I'm wanting to go to a flex tune from 93. I have a 2015 Mustang GT. It has 52lb injectors, boost-a-pump, and Roush TVS 2.3L charger. You said that injector change isn't needed unless there has been an intake manifold upgrade. This is probably a really dumb question, but does the supercharger fall into the "upgraded intake manifold" category, where I would need some upgrades? Thank you in advance. Love your videos!
Any idea why a 2019 Mustang GT would rev up to 4K rpms without touching the accelerator after flashing with the Lund Racing Flex tune? Directions were followed precisely.
Awesome vid bruh! Thanks for all the knowledge on these coyote engines. I’m finally moving from my trusty Fox body. I’m on the fence with the s197 or the s550, I don’t think I’ll loose either way! BTW are still running your stock cold air?
I keep hearing talk of upgrading all fuel lines and seals maybe even fuel pump so the e85 doesn’t deteriorate them. I’m thinking of converting so I need to know what I am getting into.
Hey Yolo my 15 GT has a Lund flex tune and the car consistently reads 91% alcohol content but when I go to actually test the fuel the tube will read mid 70’s. Any idea why? Is this a sign of bad O2’s? Is this even a problem? Thanks.
Hey Alex, always good to listen you your feeds. Right now I just got a E85R/Flex Tune from Lund using my SCT X4. Should I keep the SCT as a tune and monitor tool or should I switch to an nGauge? Thanks!
With the alcohol percentage being learned, and showing 85% why wouldnt letting the tune add the spark that you would add in the e85r tune not be safe or equivalent to having to switch between tunes? I would assume if its showing the alcohol percentage then it should be safe to add all the timing you would want at any rpm?
Yeah I'm on the fence about what tune to go with on my 18 Gt. I do have a few e85 stations in my town but not near my home. I want an e85r tune for power. I may go flex fuel or do a 93 tune and an e85r tune and switch between them. But that may be a waste of money. Keep us posted on the Fairmont.
I'd just go flex and in time pick up an 85r tune as well. I don't think the flex tune is going to make or break a roll race on the street. E85r is kinda all out. But that being said e85r tune is slightly superior
On dynos the flex tune makes More power then the e85r tune for 90% of people. To run the dedicated tune and get more power etc you need literally e85-e90 or race e85 fuel. Otherwise the car makes the same power or even cuts a little timing if your fuel isn’t perfect. Just run the flex tune and after you fill up drive Slow for 5 miles Or so and let the car learn and then enjoy, it’s simple.
If I’m Dyno Tuned on Pump E85. Flex Fuel System. Currently getting 79% Ethanol from then pump. Any benefits running a VP E85R fuel ? Not a daily driver.
What are the discrepancies if for example you get a dedicate e85 tune but your pump e85 varies because of cold and hot weather. Pump e85 ranges from e75 to e85 is that safe? Without a flexfuel sensor
Alex, Does the same logic apply 2 my 2016 5.0 Roush charged F150? I came by Power by the hour yesterday with my son in the service to talk Coyote swap in 06 4.6 drop top GT. Christian was really cool showed us around. We saw the Fairmount. Lol.

@@sublimegt500 simple. Flex tuning isnt an option for boosted vehicles. Thats why ford doesnt do it on any of their boosted platforms. And neither does lund. If you want to run e85 in a roush supercharged truck you will need to upgrade the fuel system. Not just a bap....a real deal return style system is what we require. Other tuners might require less. But we don't like to roll dice.
Do you know if you have to get the performance pack in order to get the active rev match feature or not? And also do you know if Ben Calimer is doing any built transmissions right now for the 2018 to 2019 mustangs. Because I rather get the transmission built now instead of worrying about losing 3rd or 4th gear.
Question. So it seems the 5.0 coyotes like it how about a 5.2 voodoo? Juat got my ngauge for Christmas for my 5.2 looking at flex fuel, if i can juat plug and play and don't have to do anything to fuel system, Thanks.
Hey alex how is everything man, didnt you say on a previous video that it was better to go even full 93 or full e85 but not in the middle ? My other question i have a 2014 gt jlt intake offroad x pipes rtr axle back 47 lb injector and a bama tune on full e85 but i didnt really see the difference when i went from 93 to e85 i was thinking on going with lund racing tune what do you guys recommend ? Thank you , also changing the clutch this week exedy 500 i am getting locked at high rpms and sometimes just cruising it acts weird and grinds thanks again for any feedback !!
Question my lund n gauge doesn't have the abillity to read the alcohol percentage and so forth (currently on 91)are those functions added to the n gauge when i purchase my flex fule tune from them???
Why don’t I have the “ALCH_PCT” gauge on my Ngauge from Lund. I just got it last week and did all the update. I got a 93 Tune and E85r Tune. But on my Ngauge I don’t have the option for the “ALCH_PCT” gauge.
So if I go fore innovations kit on my 2012 procharged cobra jet converter car and I cant find e85 on far away drives I can just load the flex tune from e85 tune and pump 93 and it will learn it and I'm good to go then burn most of it and pump e85 and load the 85 tune back up ? Little confused still on this kinda wanna move on from pump gas though lol ...
Will we have to reflash the race tune if we upgrade manifolds? I kind of think I would do install the cobra jet and race tune at the same time, but jw. Thx
Hey Alex, I just got my flex tune from Lund and they are saying to check the ALCH_PCT with an Nguade however I have a BDX (new one) I can’t view that parameter? Is it okay to still change to E85 and wait a bit to let it mix or am I safe to drive it?
I want to do this so do bad but I'm terrified of voiding my warranty. Especially since I have a 100,000 mile warranty and I only have 22,000 miles on my GT. I've looked into the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 and 3 tune but I know it's limited.
Coyote swap with 18 Intake. Finally we have E85 in the area. You have to travel maybe 30 minutes to the station but who cares. What size injector would you recommend?
@@YDBT4LIFE damn that sucks. I guess I’ll just stick to 93 and bolt ons then. I appreciate the info I’ve been searching with no luck to my question on Google. Im new to the s550 my roots are in sn95. Anyway keep up the great content.
Now I have a question for you... how would this work inregards to the ecoboost mustangs? I know that you’ve done gts but I want to know about the 2.3’s
With the 10 speed autos of the 18% do you see less gain switching from the flex to the dedicated with how the 10 speeds live above 6k when racing?? I'm just curious if there as much of a need to switch compared to the 6 speed which spends more time in the mid range.

I will be back later on in the year 2 add the twin fans to my heat extractor. I am from Rivera Beach ole school. Now live in Alabama. Class of 89 retired Army. I have 3 stangs in the family plus the F150. Enough fanboy sh#t.
That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the response Alex!
So we only have 91 and E85 in my area. Can a flex tune be done for 91to E85?
Did he say for the 2015 mustang gt you do not need to purchase 47lb injectors?
Alex , would a 2015 automatic car do well with a flex tune . Also do you have to use the nguage, or can I use the BDX from SCT ?
Question my lund n gauge doesn't have the abillity to read the alcohol percentage and so forth (currently on 91)are those functions added to the n gauge when i purchase my flex fule tune from them???
That's a good question...
Is the dedicated e85 tune the e85r tune because I got the (flex fuel tune) (normal tune)(e85r tune) and I just wanna make sure I load the right one
Track aps section in the car saves your 0 to 30 0 to60 and 0 to 100 times
Why don’t I have the “ALCH_PCT” gauge on my Ngauge from Lund. I just got it last week and did all the update. I got a 93 Tune and E85r Tune. But on my Ngauge I don’t have the option for the “ALCH_PCT” gauge.
Did you not watch his video? Its only on a flex tune.
Are the power gains worth the cost of a having an extra e85 dedicated tune??
not sure about power but the driving experience is worth it. My 18GT is a different beast on E85R
I have a 2015 mustang looking to do a flex fuel tune, should I go ahead and get 47lb injectors? I have the stock manifold on.
How come your LED lights on your gauge is going back & forth like that & going from red to green?
So if I go fore innovations kit on my 2012 procharged cobra jet converter car and I cant find e85 on far away drives I can just load the flex tune from e85 tune and pump 93 and it will learn it and I'm good to go then burn most of it and pump e85 and load the 85 tune back up ? Little confused still on this kinda wanna move on from pump gas though lol ...
Will we have to reflash the race tune if we upgrade manifolds? I kind of think I would do install the cobra jet and race tune at the same time, but jw. Thx
Can you tune a Boss 302 on E85? Don’t want to lose my Redkey factory option Red open up launch control Pitt lane speed and the Lopy idel ??
Will a dedicated E85r tune adjust for lower quality E85, depending on where you fuel up? It's 75% ethanol at my closest gas station.
it will trim fuel out running slightly rich.
Hey Alex, I just got my flex tune from Lund and they are saying to check the ALCH_PCT with an Nguade however I have a BDX (new one) I can’t view that parameter? Is it okay to still change to E85 and wait a bit to let it mix or am I safe to drive it?
17-ish sec to 140 with a partial roll? 10/10
I want to do this so do bad but I'm terrified of voiding my warranty. Especially since I have a 100,000 mile warranty and I only have 22,000 miles on my GT. I've looked into the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 and 3 tune but I know it's limited.
You only have one choice. Ford power pack. Don’t be an idiot and loose a warranty you probably spent $2000-$4000 for.
Coyote swap with 18 Intake. Finally we have E85 in the area. You have to travel maybe 30 minutes to the station but who cares. What size injector would you recommend?
Supreme Alpha Male Thank you sir👍
how do you get an ethanol content sensor to interface with a tuning device? or is that percentage just a rough estimate based on the wide band system?
Good question I was wondering the same.
Outstanding
How come no one does flex fuel tunes for 2022 mustang? I’m about to order one and I’d love a flex fuel tune but I’ve never seen one.
no proper tune access . Last full tune access mustang was 2020, Hence why i say if you want fast fast, 2020 is the last year you can go fast fast.
@@YDBT4LIFE damn that sucks. I guess I’ll just stick to 93 and bolt ons then. I appreciate the info I’ve been searching with no luck to my question on Google. Im new to the s550 my roots are in sn95. Anyway keep up the great content.
Alex, brother do you have any tunes for the 18/19 in Europe?
Now I have a question for you... how would this work inregards to the ecoboost mustangs? I know that you’ve done gts but I want to know about the 2.3’s
He said.. Get a GT 🤭
Can a flex fuel tune learn 91, 93, AND e85 on the same tune or just between 93 and e85 or 91 and e85? I hope I’m making sense
Yes that is what flex tune means you can run 91 or 93 full e85 or any mix of all the above.
Good info
so do you recommend to switch to a E-85r tune if you have the flex fule tune? is it worth it
what tune you recommend for a stock Gen 2 No CAI only a cat back I mean bone stock running 93 no e 85 in Korea...
Alejandro, I've heard that the fuel economy goes down with E85. Is that true? And, if so, how much?
30% or so
With the 10 speed autos of the 18% do you see less gain switching from the flex to the dedicated with how the 10 speeds live above 6k when racing??
I'm just curious if there as much of a need to switch compared to the 6 speed which spends more time in the mid range.
The dedicated E85 to sees more average spark than the flex
Vortech ok this should be interesting I was holding my breath for twin turbos
