drop the 5.0, pick up the 351w and put 2k into making it fit in the car, pick up a t56 trans. then slap boost to the old bitch and slap it around. (i prefer s.c but most will disagree) the stock 5.0 bottom end is just to fragile to run enough boost to make ya happy.
Hey Alex, just got my Lund tune and N gauge and trying to decide if switching to E85 on my NA combo 2012 with a boss 302 intake and Jlt 2, would be a great move or not? From my understanding I would gain the increased timing added at the lower end noticing the increase in torque more than horsepower? Thanks for any info
Here in Texas "E85" is required to be E70 or greater. If you test it, you will find what you are getting varies. Most common result in my findings is an ethanol content in the mid to upper 70% range.
Our pumps in Iowa State 51%, but it usually tests at 85% most of the year and 78-80% in the winter. Maybe it helps that we have corn fields everywhere and an ethanol plant in town. Lol
Could you make a video on secondary o2 sensors and how they come into play with tuning? Is it okay to leave them off long term? Do they really help recalibrate the primary o2 sensors? Can you pass emissions with the secondaries turned off, if you have longtubes?
Very good Vid. We've been using E100% in Brazil for over 30years. All street mod-cars run on that. At the strip, we use Methanol for the weekend drag races. For real Drag Cars, we use Nitromethane at a mixture up to 70N - 30M or even 90N - 10M. Why I say all this.....because of the importance of your vid. To explain and let people know that choosing the right fuel makes all the difference in tuning your car. If its available, you might as well......use it. The only thing is using Lambda instead of stoich for multi-fuel is better.....not criticising, only informing.
As far as cold start fueling, do you find that the F-150 5.0 Factory Flex Fuel Tune offers a good starting point for this? Don't mean to nosy just wondering.
Alejandro, i just started watching your videos and really learned quite a bit so keep it up.. I have a 2012 Shelby GT500 i bought brand new it only has 11k miles on it now . i have full bolt ons lund tune (ngauge) but still running the stock blower and injectors. I have been on the fence with the E85 until i saw this video. So real quick can you tell me what all i need to convert and would it be worth it with the stock blower? appreciate any advice you can give.
2015 Mustang GT with cai and 350 manifold with stock 15' injectors; think I would still be under an 80% duty cycle on pump gas and E85 or would I need to hop up to 47lb maybe 52lb injectors just to keep it low and not keep the injector on all the time?
My daily is a 2015 GT manual with a Paxton 2200sl, id1000, bap. Right now im on 93 octane. I average about 14.5mpg I live near 1 e85 gas station that I pass every day.. What do you think my fuel economy will go down to on e85? Also would you recommend running e85 with just a bap?
you can run stock injectors if its with stock intake manifold, and it will only cause corrosion if you have you car sitting for more than a month, as long as you use the car atleast once a week, you will be okay.
2014 gt with CJ mani and FR intake.. do you know if stepping down to a colder plug will help get more timing out of the coyote and prevent pre-ignition? If so can you recommend a plug? thanks
It’s hard to find E85 on the east side of Orlando. You know any places that sell it? They only location I’ve been able to find E85 is on the turnpike at the turkey lake plaza and off I95 in south Brevard county.
Alex i have a question i have a 2016 5.0 im going to install 47 lb injectors and get a tune for it to run e-85, my question is do i have to empty out my 91 fuel out or can i just mix it???
Laviathan _5.0 47 injectors the best way to run E85 but it all depends what u have done obviously with supercharger you’ll need bigger injectors just with bolts on you’ll be ok
Currently a fbo 5.0 with a vmp tune e85 coming tomorrow and I just want to know your thoughts on vmp. I know your a lund guy and I just want to know as far as how aggressively they tune the car it feels like I should be a tad faster.
Question i have a 1988 econoline and i run it with e85 for 11 years and all of the sudden it didnt want to idle well it started rough and shuts down, like if was the map senser, throttle senser was going bad, like the egr valve was plug. Well it was the egr valve and the catalytic converter that wer clogged with carbon. I clean the egr valve and put a less restricted catalytic converter o my god the whole engine felt like new. I think i need more compression so it could burn better and more spark. A 1988 302 compression is like 8 somthing. What you think? Should i bring the compression up.
Ethanol has the tendency to have issues with moisture and clogging/conglomerating. Ethanol absorbs moisture and can cause problems. Also, it gets nasty after sitting for to long because it can separate or become more solitude.
Hey Alex love the vids man I got a 17 gt would hurt or benefit me if I put like a gallon or 2 of e85 with the rest of 93 just curious if it would help the car run better thanks in advance
That sucks that they dont have any way to read the ethanol like i just got an 03 suburban that is flex fuel so it has an ethanol content sensor and like 10 points with different air fuel ratios all the way from 0 to 100%
Now when I start my e85 turbo car from cold starts fine, then I let it run for let's say couple mins shut it off, then start up again it runs ruff for about 30 secs then sits at good idle why is this!!!
I have a p1sc with a 10lbs pulley, id1000, bap, can I truly run e85 without some ridiculous fuel setup..like a returnless fuel system and what not...so can I honestly go get a tune with this and not worry about any damage, right now I'm sitting at 670whp and 547 lbs of trq...but my trans is stock, so I'm guessing I will grenade that, and thanks for the info
Also, E85 has 18-20% less burn energy, which translates to 18-20% less gas mileage. It's just not worth the headaches later. I'd rather use Torco racing fuel additive or mix a few gallons of it in with about 7-10 gallons of fuel or go to a station with 94-95 octane. It's worth paying more than damaging your engine and fuel system over time, and not get covered by warranty.
MasterCarguy44 Ya you need to do your homework. Just wait until they pull your spark plugs out and see the orange deposits all over them and your engine..
I would not use it past E25 in any vehicle not made for it. If your gas cap or fuel filler ring does not say flex fuel, don't use over E25, you'll wish you had not later on, I garantee it. A vehicles fuel system, fuel tank and special spark plugs are in FlexFuel vehicles. Without upgrading those items in a non flexfuel vehicle, your asking for trouble. E95 to E20, as it corrodes everything. Slowly at first then if used often, speeds up the process by 150%.. I've seen enough people come to the dealer and have troubles with hard, lumpy starts and idling issues, CEL, and hard starting... It can get worse than that. And it's easily diacovered and not covered under warranty.
I have a stock '12 5.0 4x4 with 3.55 rear on 35's. My speedo is off due to the 35's and it came with them so my mpg is off too. But I saw about a 1.5-2 mpg difference between E85 and 87 on stock flexfuel tune.
love these videos . very informative. keep doing what you're doing Alex. you're killing it bro ✌
That seat belt though
Seat belt delete
Ive watched like 10 of your videos i feel like a coyote wizard now 😂, great information 💅
E85 in Australia is 107 octane. It's called race blend E85.
Loving the videos lately, very informative. Don't get me wrong love your troll videos to. But love the channel all around.
i have a 95 GT 5.0 im having trouble deciding wether i should turbo it...or just cam it and leave it N/A anyone got any advice on that?
Mr Random Reviews turbo...now
I wouldn't leave anything before a 2011 5.0 n/a
drop the 5.0, pick up the 351w and put 2k into making it fit in the car, pick up a t56 trans. then slap boost to the old bitch and slap it around. (i prefer s.c but most will disagree) the stock 5.0 bottom end is just to fragile to run enough boost to make ya happy.

Love the content that you bring on your channel and the information. Thank you and keep it up
Where is the best to get e85? I'm in Texas. Just curious what the gas station with the most consistent e85 is. Thanks in advance!
Here in Texas "E85" is required to be E70 or greater. If you test it, you will find what you are getting varies. Most common result in my findings is an ethanol content in the mid to upper 70% range.
Todd Smith same in fl. but our pumps state min 51%

my mustang friend got me into filling my 2015 grand cherokee with e85, and she loves it! great video man
These videos are awesome. No bs
i love the info off your videos man i found u off mustang lifestyle. i dig it bro keep up good work

AKDMB not really
Fantastic INFO ! do you recommend a DYNO for the TUNE ?
great info, what are your thoughts on using e85 on hellcat without tuning? damaging?
What kind of timing and afr's do you run @ cruise speeds for mileage if you don't mind sharing? Love the vids by the way.
Alejandro, i just started watching your videos and really learned quite a bit so keep it up.. Cars and Stuff i average about that on e85. just stay off of boost
Staying off of boost is easier said than done good sir.
Kalel Kent no its not
youll get 10-11 on e85 if you get 14 now on pump gas. its not worth the switch unless you go full on. replacing fuel lines,injectors/pump etc.
Flexfuel with stock tune, expect about 2 mpg difference. Maybe 1.5. I've ran many tanks on both 87 and E85 on my F150.
Hey man do I need fuel injectors to run e85 in my stock unboosted '16 Mustang GT, and does e85 cause corrosion or is that mostly myth?
you can run stock injectors if its with stock intake manifold, and it will only cause corrosion if you have you car sitting for more than a month, as long as you use the car atleast once a week, you will be okay.
@Alex Running a VMP TVS on a 12 GT500 currently on 93 pump. No E85 near me, what do you think about meth injection instead?
everarmed1989 meth works wonders. you cana add a couple if degrees of timing easily and it makes a good difference
Alex thanks for the videos to me ur the best
2014 gt with CJ mani and FR intake.. do you know if stepping down to a colder plug will help get more timing out of the coyote and prevent pre-ignition? If so can you recommend a plug? thanks
xunan tunich stock plugs do fine
Looks like my boy is getting them headers on!!!
It’s hard to find E85 on the east side of Orlando.
You know any places that sell it? They only location I’ve been able to find E85 is on the turnpike at the turkey lake plaza and off I95 in south Brevard county.
I've heard that the 15 and up GT doesn't need upgraded injectors for N/A if using the stock IM. Is this true?
Alan Spaulding It is true.
Alex i have a question i have a 2016 5.0 im going to install 47 lb injectors and get a tune for it to run e-85, my question is do i have to empty out my 91 fuel out or can i just mix it???
alberto olazaba empty it
Alejandro Flores ok i will thank you. What web site would be best to order the injectors i looked in American muscle they dont have them
Ali Beydoun what if I have a cold air intake would you recommended upgrading injectors or should I keep them stock? 2016 mustang GT
Erick Mondragon No, you don’t need to swap injectors on s550s. Just get a tune and you’re all set.
Do you recommend 47lbs. Injectors in the 2015-17 to run E85 also?
Laviathan _5.0 47 injectors the best way to run E85 but it all depends what u have done obviously with supercharger you’ll need bigger injectors just with bolts on you’ll be ok
Thanks for there advice .. I'm thinking about running E85 in my 12' c63
He definitely brings the real truth about things.
I have a 2006 mustang gt cold intake and running 93 tune can I use e85 or do I have to change injectors fuel pump
Currently a fbo 5.0 with a vmp tune e85 coming tomorrow and I just want to know your thoughts on vmp. I know your a lund guy and I just want to know as far as how aggressively they tune the car it feels like I should be a tad faster.
Hows that vmp tune?
@@juliantorres4298 it ran hard af for sure no lack of power just changed to a local tuner who gave me a little extra sauce up top now lol
@@andre5.0h26 good shit 👌

How are you gonna do that?
@@warntheidiotmasses7114 well either by pistons or connecting roads, or both
I actually made more peak whp on 91 / flex tune then I did on E85 & E85R tune, the difference I notice is the instant torque in a broad RPM range
When you said if you have a vehicle that sits a lot E85 might not be good for it. Why is that?
Ethanol has the tendency to have issues with moisture and clogging/conglomerating. Ethanol absorbs moisture and can cause problems. Also, it gets nasty after sitting for to long because it can separate or become more solitude.
You are the fucking the man 🤙🏼
Alex can i convert my 03 gt to e85 what do I need and is it worth it thanks brother
I have a 2017 Mustang Gt, do I need bigger injectors?
2014 f150 5.0 injectors recommended to run a e85 with a tune??correct
Danny Gonzales no
How about you make a video on seatbelts next?
SkyeHack how bout you mind yo bidness
How long have you been runing your car on e85
Opinions on flex fuel tunes vs straight up E tunes? I've heard a lot of mixed things about the tuning.
joey20112 i prefer a dedicated e85 tune over a flex fuel tune
Alejandro Flores what's up with the whining of the car after you passed that truck? tires? or transmission? just curious if you noticed it
RWYB RACING yea the 109k mile mt82 has been whinning a while. I'm pretty used to it by now. shes a whiner. but still kicking
Alejandro Flores I hear ya! good video, glad to see some MT82 cars still running strong
100%
Hey Alex love the vids man I got a 17 gt would hurt or benefit me if I put like a gallon or 2 of e85 with the rest of 93 just curious if it would help the car run better thanks in advance
Do i need a return type fuel system to run e85, (not boosted)
How does AMPG on E85 compare to 91?
my favorite channels ever lol
do you work at power by the hour?
That sucks that they dont have any way to read the ethanol like i just got an 03 suburban that is flex fuel so it has an ethanol content sensor and like 10 points with different air fuel ratios all the way from 0 to 100%
Do I need to upgrade my headers in order to tune for e85
Alex how can I get a tune from you I’m in Orlando
Remote only. Support@lundracing.com

Now when I start my e85 turbo car from cold starts fine, then I let it run for let's say couple mins shut it off, then start up again it runs ruff for about 30 secs then sits at good idle why is this!!!
Probably because you let it sit too long and gpt water corrosion 😬
Please explain how an E85 flex tune works? Thanks, enjoy your channel.
Are you putting those ARHs on your car?
BlackWhiteBeast I wish
Hey man just picked up a 15 gt pp few days ago, plan on uploading races n shit out here in Mexico any recommendations as to first couple of mods ?
TheCoyoteChannel cold air (pmas) and e85 should work well for ya
Alejandro Flores ill look into it thank you sir !
do i need a bap for 78
ib injectors to run e85 n/a
Hey so I have a 2014 5.0 about to do tune headers and pmas Intake, what can I do for e85 like how much and will it run it on the stock fuel system ?
you need 47 lb injectors like the ones that come in stock roush charged mustangs the longer ones Lu-47's and you can run e85 with a tune.
How do you test E85
I have a p1sc with a 10lbs pulley, id1000, bap, can I truly run e85 without some ridiculous fuel setup..like a returnless fuel system and what not...so can I honestly go get a tune with this and not worry about any damage, right now I'm sitting at 670whp and 547 lbs of trq...but my trans is stock, so I'm guessing I will grenade that, and thanks for the info

Alejandro Flores okay, I figured that would be the answer....damn lol

Lol Hialeah... probably a skimmer too
I need u to look over my tune I still think there more to grow on tbh
Wheres the fuel system install video i love you yolodouche
You need a PROFLEX Commander then you don't have to worry about your blend.
Why the delay wen start up wen running e85??
alberto olazaba it takes a longer time to heat up
Ethanol burns cooler. Cold starts in winter are difficult.
👌🙏🙌💯
The great thing about running e85 with fuel injection. Carbs arent so tolerant.
Can Racing Headers a fucking junk, BBK is all I run in my 2008 Camaro
Poor Man Mods Lol you're just mad you can't afford American racing headers.
I think yall missed the biggest thing... there's no such thing as a 2008 Camaro lol...

Estimated MPG for a 2018 F150 5.0 on 35's running E85 anyone?
I have a stock '12 5.0 4x4 with 3.55 rear on 35's. My speedo is off due to the 35's and it came with them so my mpg is off too. But I saw about a 1.5-2 mpg difference between E85 and 87 on stock flexfuel tune.
closest e85 pump is 70 miles from me lol
Methanol > Ethanol
Kind of annoying
Way to many cons with this shitty fuel
Can I run E85 on an 04' g35 coupe?
