This video reminded me of all the preparations and clean up ,we do everytime,my dad is coming back home from is trips then,my mum called it environmental 🤣

You're so right about the potpourri idea. Typically potpourri is dried and placed is sachets or baskets around your home. The way you used the citrus is the same way I do except I put the fire on low and let is steam simmer the scent all through the house. I don't turn off the fire until I'm completely done cooking. The smell is so amazing. You can even add rose petals if you wanted to. If you're frying fish, the citrus alone with cinnamon is perfect to get rid of the scent.
Lol😂 reminds me of dad's arrival too, we'd clean like never before and cook like never before 😂
