Yeah, that detail was great. Wish they had warmer pants and the ability to make ear muffs too, so Link can be perfectly warm and not blushy. Maybe even do like in Don't Starve where ear muffs are made from bunnies and sticks. ....Too morbid?

I don't think Rupees are gone, I just think that you'll have to do jobs and stuff to earn them. You don't get anything from grass anymore either. Once towns are implemented, I think that a currency will come back too. Maybe I'm wrong.
I like how Link also has a ragdoll effect when he's knocked into the air. Gives a sense of equality between all the characters. It reminds you that you've always gotta be on your toes.

Actually, they were testing out a new engine for porting GameCube games into HD on Wii U They were deciding between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and when they saw Toon Link with the new shading engine, they said he 'emitted an aura' and knew that they had to do Wind Waker.
The thing they did with fire and wind at 12:29 is really amazing. I didn't see any game that allows you to make an accidental fire by cutting little trees, and then the wood pass over the fire, and this wood on fire burn the entire dry grass. Finally a truly sandbox game and had to be a Zelda game, a franchise not so known for sandboxes games... Amazing!
yo, im not gotta lie, having you just pick up a leaf and then use that to sail across the lake on a raft you also find is really freaking cool. and it makes you want to experiment with the environment around you. I hope the rest of the game has this kind of environment intuitive puzzle solving.

i love that nintendo went for the original idea for zelda (more exploration. and u get crucial items just by looking around.) it was about the adventure the excitement. myamoto was inspired to make the zelda game whe he was a little kid, exploring a cave he found. I'm so glad this is happening. The original Legend of Zelda will always have a special place in my heart for that unguided open world exploration that only Windwaker's come close to recreating. With all of the linear and handholding games out there these days, it's great to see a game throw kids out into the wild and teach them to be independent.
Well if you watch the footage, the old man states that the kingdom is on the decline. In Hyrule Historia, Zelda 1 and 2 take place during the Era of Decline. I wouldn't be surprised.
Makes sense. It would probably mean that Link putting together the Triforce and saving the sleeping Zelda in 1 and 2 didn't stop Hyrule's decline. That'd be interesting to see.

You could always jump in Zelda except 1 or 2 titles, for example Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, walk off a cliff you jump, same goes for Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Link to The Past, Link Between Worlds, Minish Cap, and so on.
It makes me so happy that LoZ is going back to it's roots. I love what LoZ has become, and all the steps of the journey it's taken -- but none of them really have the same feeling as the original, which is one of my favorites.

They said the towns cities or whatever were "removed" for the E3 demo. in order to "remove" something it has to be there in the first place. This is gonna be the first Zelda that you can't name your character. How do I know? Link's name is said by the voice actor. I actually prefer this. If I'm not screwing around with friends or for a let's play I always name the character link.

I don't know how big the world in xenoblade X is, but in this, apparently the first chunk of the map that you uncover is a VERY small portion of the complete map. take from that what you will.
Most likely not. They said this game is 12 times the size of Twilight Princess. Anybody that's played Xenoblade Chronicles X knows that doesn't measure up to the size of even one of the continents in that game. Bear in mind that you're piloting giant mechs by a certain point in that game. It wouldn't make sense for Link's world to be around that size.

Even then, I would admit happily that at the moment, Zelda beats out Sonic in terms of quality. The beginning of the game is magical. You get taught to climb up a ledge in like less than a second. Unlike skyward swords bloke that will not shut up.
Why would they not do that on Wii U but do that on NX? That makes no sense.. They probably intentionally put the minimap close to your field of vision. That's actually handier than having it on the gamepad. The gamepad might be able to display various other things including a larger map in cases where you want to see more of the map than just the minimap..

I love how this whole game is how you CAN do this or CAN do that, but either way I'm going in the main entrance of every camp i find arrows blazing and sword swinging, screw strategy.
They probably could've gotten the raft unstuck by using Stasis then blowing it with the fan a few times. Speaking of, I'm going to play around with the Stasis power so much; I want to try Stasising a boulder, getting it to max kinetic energy then see if I can climb and ride on it as it launches.

This is gonna be the first Zelda that you can't name your character. How do I know? Link's name is said by the voice actor. I actually prefer this. If I'm not screwing around with friends or for a let's play I always name the character link.
I just hope this doesn't mean that there will only be one save file.

I don't know how big the world in xenoblade X is, but in this, apparently the first chunk of the map that you uncover is a VERY small portion of the complete map. take from that what you will.

Anybody that's played Xenoblade Chronicles X knows that doesn't measure up to the size of even one of the continents in that game. Bear in mind that you're piloting giant mechs by a certain point in that game. It wouldn't make sense for Link's world to be around that size.

The beginning of the game is magical. You get taught to climb up a ledge in like less than a second. Unlike skyward swords bloke that will not shut up.

The gamepad isn't used for the map anymore.
Why would they not do that on Wii U but do that on NX? That makes no sense.. They probably intentionally put the minimap close to your field of vision. That's actually handier than having it on the gamepad. The gamepad might be able to display various other things including a larger map in cases where you want to see more of the map than just the minimap..

They probably could've gotten the raft unstuck by using Stasis then blowing it with the fan a few times.
Speaking of, I'm going to play around with the Stasis power so much; I want to try Stasising a boulder, getting it to max kinetic energy then see if I can climb and ride on it as it launches.
