@Mojo.X You shouldn't be doing nothing else than that. Scavs can be player scavs, and even if you manage to cooperate with them, you shouldn't trust them. I've been that alley many times and I'm not going into that alley again. I don't shoot on sight, but when I know it's a player scav, i'll be happy to take the aggro and kill the player scav.
@@metoch I had a bad experience with scavs today legit was running to Ruaf Roadblock to extract and player scavs are dicks 60% of the time and I had a full blown M4 that I got from a weapon box but I also was risking Fence rep which I don’t want to so I just took the loss as it doesn’t affect me as it’s just a gun I can get some time soon

I just played as a scav and killed someone and got 2 rifles and bandages a lot of decent loot. I camped until the timer ran out and then I LOST EVERYTHING. What did I do wrong?
This needs a little bit of an update - If you kill an AI Scav as a Player Scav every AI Scav on the map becomes hostile. Furthermore - If you kill a Player Scav as another Player Scav, all AI Scavs on the map also become hostile.

my cooldown is 30 minutes and i dont have any items left on PMC because i am a new player, resulting in loosing a lot. sucks ass if you can only play the game every 30 minutes for 1-15minutes

The other day I killed 6 player scavs in reserve and I still got shot in the face by a player scav. They just keep coming. Is there a limit just like the pmc limit per map?
I think there is a total limit for how many can be in a raid at one time but if they die more can spawn in. As long as there is a PMC in a raid players scavs can spawn.
19 minutes for a scav these days is too much. if your a solo scav is all you have, when there's like groups of two and three everywhere basically impossible to play normally may aswel just hand them my loot.

Well, and now all this is useless since scavs dont just have a better walk cycle then most players but also their aim has been upgraded to a aimbot 2x so sometimes they aggro you through an entire forest and kill you with 3 buckshot rounds into your leg from 150m as if they are slugs and ontop of that they do this through 20 treed and 40 bushes. But thanks for the tutorial, helpful for engagements where scavs dont just aimbot you.
6:11 not anymore right? i scaved in on shoreline once, a regular scav on scav island had 2 guns and there was a dead scav with no gun on the ground. i guess the ai loots since some update
Doppleganger runs: Going in with a pistol and extra mag, and stealing the first scavs gear, drop original gear. Go hunt some PMCs, steal their gear, extract.
yeah but if you kill a scav say behind a wall how the hell does the other scav 100ft away if he cant see you know it was you and then agro onto you I feel like they need to change it so they only agro if they see you do it not if you have!?
yeah no. everytime i go into a raid with a scav other player scavs kill me XD i dont see anyone working as a team when it comes to scavs cause like you said. there is no big risk in loosing all the gear since its free.
I haven't been playing long but one of my favourite things to do as a scav is to hang about the pockets and wait for PMC to engage them you can score some nice loot by being that scav-safe 3rd party.

Awesome video, thanks for the tips! This may be a silly question, but how do you actually find Scavs? I'm fairly new to the game, have been playing for the past few weeks off/on, and can't seem to find scavs on demand. Is there a trick to locating scavs for the easier loot when you're new? Cheers!
It's really about knowing where they spawn in. They spawn at various places on the map and normally spawn in groups of 3-5. As you play more you will learn where these places are and learn to check them if you are looking for scavs. But you will normally run into a few as you play
Be careful also when looting a scav you have just killed...there will be others that will bee line to where it happened and kill with your hands in their mates pockets! Hang back and reposition and see what turns up for a minute or two
I think its a hit. When you shoot next to SCAV when you are a SCAV yourself they will not atrack you.. so I think the system doesnt recognize it if you mean to attack another SCAV player either.. but its just my assumption
Its also important to know for new people that boss scavs will shoot at player scavs even if they are not agro'd

PvPvE? Free loadout is very nice compared to jumping in naked and looking for loot in "console Tarkov" Vigor with no AI enemies 😅

I wish they would get rid of scav on scav encounters. Basically get rid of friendly fire for scavs.

for pmcs everybody is hostile doesnt matter if scav, player scav or other pmcs

Kind of both. Scavs have their own spawn points and sometimes those are very similar to PMC spawns

As Online is a medium hard, hopefully I wasn't too late!
High scav count is considerably higher 2-3x, horde is like 5-8x the normal scav count.
