I've got near 2000 rounds of 5.45 BP just found from raids, the 120 round packs spawn really often on woods and lighthouse so you can quite easily just scav in and go fetch some rounds since nobody loots the ammo packs
Thats what I was gonna say. If you are buying 5.45 Big Peen, you're crazy. Woods and reserve. I have come out of woods and reserve with hundreds of rounds easily.
@@HenkFueltank Personally I tend to steer clear from BS, I usually try to engage on longer distances if possible so the slower bullet velocity is a big deal for me, but if I do make a close quarters gun then the BS ammo really comes in handy
For M4 build, if you want to run a 60-round mag it's better to use the STANAG it is 400 grams lighter, has higher top loading speed , can be bartered fairly cheaply from Peacekeeper and only has 2 less ergo than a drum PMAG.

SR3M is actually only worth it if you use it unsuppressed. When you want to go suppressed, the Val still has the same firepower, but the suppressor is far better, and the price will be lower overall. However, playing it loud makes it an absolute beast, especially since it is as short as an SMG, and ADS with it is extremely quick; you also run faster with shorter weapons. That said, suppressed it is also a beast, but I'd still call the Val a better gun overall, and it is also more accessible since it is available on the flea.

The RD704 is insane this wipe. I avoided 7.62 weapons last wipe, as they were far too jumpy and there was always better choices. But the RD is fun and clean this wipe. The Mutant isnt tho. Also tried the SR3M for the first time this wipe and wow was i impressed. I had a bunch of SP6 saved up and its a lazer beam. Especially on Labs and Factory
You can buy the MDR from mechanic and it comes with the 25 round mag. You can either use the mag yourself or sell it on the flea for almost as much as the MDR cost.
i used to basically run stock rpk16s before the ak12, cheap midrange high rpm guns, the ak12 just feels like a higher end, higher fire rate version. its a great gun
@shampwoo it made the rifle slightly better on recoil by a point or two. Not sure about ergo. They look the same but it's my understanding the red tube is always slightly better.
I've not even used it with the hybrid ammo yet as I haven't found any. But if it's the same as last wipe it's the best weapon in the game imo, especially with the mdr nerfs. As you say, not plausible for most players though, even fairly dedicated ones
Ive found a ton in marked rooms. Even if you don't take the weapon, taking the 25 round mag out is worth it every time. I use it with FMJ and it's real good.
hey giga beef, quick question, how come you shy away from the ak hexagon tubular handgaurd in your builds? I am consistently confused by this, I know there must be an obvious reason that I am missing(still very new to the game), but it is about 1/4 the cost on the flea compared to the zhukov and gives similar performance. I've always been a fan of the Ak-12 even before PvE came out primarily for its 3rd firing mode Burst Fire. When you build it just right, having it on a 3 round burst for that extra two rounds per squeeze is nice. Especially if you target upper chest and let the let yourself be a bit loose on the recoil will always net you a headshot.
The red version of the ARE is clearly better than the gray one. I don't know why this one is sometimes cheaper on the flea... Are people afraid of the red color? I can assure you there is no way anyone can see that when you have a stock on it.
i have a full ammo case of found in raid bp and bt so ive been using the aks ub with ok results. but that recoil was surprising. after the initial 10 rounds i doubt id hit anything more than 15-20 m away.
I want to mention that Reserve has an obscene amount of bp small AK ammo. I stocked up to 2500 BP rounds while looking for Gluhar. Other big round spots (woods shack and USEC camp, MVD and Lexos on Streets) are also good to sweep.
I don't understand your AK12 build. It seems to me like the AK-74M is hands down better in every way (other than maybe accuracy) once you build it out. Why have you picked the AK12 over the 74M?
I think its worth mentioning that the BMD combo will give you similar recoil to the meta suppressor but cheaper and with much more ergo. Drawback is you now are loud and have to deal with muzzle flash. For some maps and some raised optics this is completely fine (like on labs with a bravo + red dot)
the raptor isn't the best charging handle, the avalanche is. Same ergo less weight. It's a nitpick but given how cheap it is (less than the raptor) you might as well use it.

personally id never run an m4 buffer tube on the mcx or mpx, save the good stuff for a 416 build. the maxim stock is cheap and barely worse than the best tube and stock combo
bt isnt bad on aK12 since the rpm makes up for the lack in pen and it has basically no visual recoil when ur using 1x one of the best guns to run rn cheap effective and u have constant supply of ammo using any gun that uses m80 is ass more often it takes the same amount of shot to kill class 4 with say 545 BT like i had dude tank 7 fkn m80 bullets lol

I don;t have arena so how am I supposed to compete with that convenience (yes i can craft, but its a dumb advantage for no reason). 7.62x51 used to be the endgame gun round because it was on guns with best in slot parts locked behind traders. Now it is objectively worse than its lower recoil counterparts. The MCX is in a good place because it has high pen thats available to the masses. But it still isn't a win button on class 5. This is a good place to be and should be the baseline. Nobody feels good buying 40 pen rounds in a class 5 meta. It should be 45-47 pen on traders for all endgame calibers with higher pen ones avail in raid or from questlocked crafts. Just dont hide it behind ref :V
No, you can't with this game... There is simply too much depth in the mechanics. You can shoot a pistol with the strongest bullet and it will technically be stronger. But in short balance and power is about attachments the weapon and the ammo all together.

I don't think the balance of the weapons is good this wipe. In my opinion, 556 in particular loses a lot of value this wipe. The M855A1 is difficult to get unless you grind through a lot of quests, some of which are very annoying and expensive. It's easier to just use 762x39 PP or CBJ or switch directly to one of the submachine guns, some of which have far more penetration and far less recoil (MP7 and 9x19). On most maps, the distance advantage that the 556 ammo actually gives you doesn't do you much good, whereas the penetration is definitely a problem. Especially against people with level 5 armor. Because you really have to hit faces and if I can do that reliably, I can go out with a Kedr and don't have to mod an M4 for half a million. In my opinion, either all the ammunition with higher penetration (762x39 BP, 300 AP, 855A1, etc.) should be more easily available again, or the other ammunition that has more than 37 pen (except sniper caliber) should be as difficult to obtain as the strong assault rifle ammunition currently is.

SR3M and sp6 slaps but against multiple opponents it's almost guaranteed malfunction due to overheat. Meta M4 is almost perfect weapon imo.

You can get different stocks on the SCARH btw
i use AK103 for maps with a bit of range like woods or shore line and AK104 for CQB like interchnage or customs.
I wonder if at max Assault Rifles skill the lower ergo builds would become more viable.

The AK-12 is better unsuppressed tbh, that sound is great and the ergo is more important.
RD-704 goes well with the RK-2, the BMD tri-muzzle and a 50-rounder, too, 57 ergo with 63/147 recoil, defo sounds like a high meta build

The AUG is extremely slept on tbh, requires no attachments besides a muzzle device to become a head eyes machine. SOST or M856a1
The MDR 7.62 is goated. M80 slice thru anything, even at distance.
