Using the jogger to say people move more nowadays is a very bad example. First I am pretty sure that among REGULAR jogger you don't see that many obese people and I know that because I have been a regular joggers for years. So I have came across regular joggers for years in different countries... But despite that working out and moving your body is a different thing. Some people go to the gym 1/ week don't work out properly and stay seating at their desk all day. Not too long ago people did not have so much access to transportation, individual cars, ordering everything, working remotely, tv , smartphone... It's pretty obvious that most of the world move less. And among those who move more/work out on a regular basis you don't see again that many obese people also probably because they also tend to eat better. And taking herself or her brother as a general statement..... Ok

The point is that slim fit people still suffer. Exercise is certainly a good thing but you cannot out run a bad diet!
