Terrific lesson Shane of one of my favorite TW songs! Every time I hear that tune I can see George & crew playing this in that train scene on YT! Amazing musicians having a great time together. Doesn't get much better than that! Hope that you are doing well. Thanks.... 👍👍👏👏😉😉🎸🎸
great band, great song, great lesson! Growing up I never imagined a world without George Harrison and Tom Petty. TP and Dylan was actually my first real concert. Thanks for spreading the good tunes around and even better teaching us how to play them.
Thank you! I have a friend that is going to trip out when I bust this one out! So much fun playing new songs, and you help make this possible. Happy times for all!
I have no Idea how you do not have more subscribers. But I know for sure if you keep these videos up, your subs will soar! You have the most infectious energy and make learning these songs so fun. Thankyou and please keep doing what you're doing!
Man I lover listening to this song when I'm diving and I haven't heard it in a long time. just never tried to learn it on guitar. But it is so much more fun playing it . thanks Shane good one
Greetings from Ireland Shane, hope you are well Sir Learned this last year, the intro is so satisfying to play, The tricky way is the best :-) Awesome content as always, Hope you have a great evening
A big thank you for that - all is well here and I hope the same for you. So glad you enjoy this song - it's really fun to play. My best to you and yours, Shane
Just caught your bit on"Mr. Jones" strumming and made me think of "Run Around" by Blues Traveler. Everytime I get close to getting it right I quit practicing and my brain explodes when I have to work on it again! It's really an award pattern for me.
Well, you gained a RUclips subscriber *and* a Patreon subscriber today -- I definitely wanted to have all these song sheets you keep talking about in all your videos. They're very handy!
One more to put in the “Backyard sing along folder”. I’m either going to irritate a few neighbors or it’s going to be a fun summer(maybe a little of both)😉. Great song, easy yet fun to strum along with like say Wagon Wheel while having some tougher parts like the intro to keep me learning. Love the idea of using the looper to add both parts of the intro, really sounds good. Just wish mine was as easy to use as yours… maybe I’ll see if one can be a BD present later this summer. 😎 Still loving my BeatBuddy, your right, it’s a great practice and play along tool. Thanks again Shane, hope all is well with you and yours, take care. Wally
Love this lesson! Can I request one though?? Could you do "Have you ever really loved a woman" by Bryan Adams? Thanks! I have loved your videos ever since I saw the Jet Airliner one, and I love the way you explain things!
Hey Shane, love your guitar lessons! If you get a chance, could you do a finger picking lesson on El Camino by Amos Lee? Much appreciated, if you could. Thanks!
Hi Shane, since you got me into the Singular BB, it seems this song is not under their Default Library, I have asked the SMT forum if anyone got the info (file) for it and no response. Any chance you can share the 'Beat', etc. for this tune? I have recently signed up with your GAW Patreon page too. You're doing amazing job here! thanks.
Hi Eli - thanks for your question and sorry for a slow reply. I’m using the ‘Country 2 Train Shuffle’ pattern that comes pre-loaded on the BeatBuddy. Fabulous! The speed is at 168BPM. Hope that helps you and thanks for your Patreon support. My best to you! Shane
Until I came to the Uk 20 odd years ago ,I’ve never heard about the this song or this band ,but since I heard I become a fan ,because it proofed once again what great musicians together can do ,simple songs ,but musically rich, being a big fan of George Harrison and the Beatles and then seeing another idol Tom Petty and then Roy Orbison ,wow ,unfortunately Bob Dylan not so much 😂😂
Thank you Jay - much appreciated. I'm using Elixir HD Light strings. Elixir strings have a coating on them that helps minimize squeaking noise....really great. Cheers, Shane
I was searching power chord and solo lessons about this song, but nobody's guitar lessons included power chord and solo in their lessons. Rather you could make again power chord and solo lessons about this song. That would be better for us. I hope you will be considered about my wish.
Hi Tom, thanks for your message. Sorry for any trouble. You’ve had locating those song sheets. You could find this song and many many more at patreon.com/guitaratwork. Hope you’ll join us! Shane

Great lesson! And I liked the focus on the song first then the intro. I’m one who tends to get tied up on the intros easily.

What kind of strings are you using?
And why don't they 'squeak' when you move
the D chord shape up the neck?

It adds a bit more fun and chordal melody to simultaneously play the "other" da-da-da-da-da guitar line on the A chord.
I was searching power chord and solo lessons about this song, but nobody's guitar lessons included power chord and solo in their lessons. Rather you could make again power chord and solo lessons about this song. That would be better for us. I hope you will be considered about my wish.
Hi Shane tried to find the Chord Sheet for end of the line, it was not successful. Do I need to pay for it.?
