OMG! I accidentally found you and decided to follow your steps - EXACTLY as you have here (minus one... (I put the veggies in the pan but still used a turkey holder and I also added whole Bella mushrooms to the carrots, onions and celery)... but other than that - every step exactly as you teach here - and OMG... OMG... girl! This was the most delicious turkey and gravy I have ever prepared... and I have cooked maybe 30-40 turkeys (and full holiday dinners) over the years. Too bad we can't add photos because this was just fantastic and our guests loved every morsel! THANK YOU for this! Subscribed! And will also check out your website. I LOVE connecting to creative women! YOU ROCK!

Hi Dimitra, today we have the big meal for Thanksgiving and I just put the turkey in the oven. It's the second time I cook a turkey ever in my life. The first time was in spring for Easter when I tried this recipe for the first time. Since it came out divine, today it's your recipe again with no modifications, no additions, just as you wrote it. Thank you so much for making me feel confortable enough to make a turkey again, you are a wonderful person and a great cook!!! ☺♥️🇨🇦

One of the best roast turkey videos I've seen. You touched all of the bases in a simple, yet thorough and effective way. The only thing I would do different is season the bird and leave it in the fridge overnight, for added flavorful. I always season meat overnight, Old habit. Excellent video though. Thanks.

Just me this 'Un'Thanksgiving so will use most of your suggestions, except will chop up things smaller under the turkey instead of leaving whole and will cut down on the salt by at least 2 teaspoons since that amount will probably raise my blood pressure too high! My gravy will be a little thicker otherwise it will dribble all over my 'shelf' (chest) haha. Not old enough to wear a bib yet although I'll be on my own.
I always bake my stuffing outside the turkey because I hate struggling with it later, although it tastes better when cooked inside the bird.
Going in the oven first thing in the morning for a full day and more of turkey plus leftovers and then some small snack pies for the freezer. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us, it looks perfect!

ivy and roses the rule is usually 20 mins per pound but, it all depends on your oven. The best thing to do is to stick an oven safe meat thermometer into the thigh and once the internal temperature reaches 165 Fahrenheit its done!

As always, thank you Dimitra for sharing your recipes 💕 I hope your Thanksgiving was peachy. I made the turkey yesterday using your recipe (doubling the ingredients as my turkey was 24 lbs.) and it was the most delicious and super moist turkey ever! I replaced some butter with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. I also let the turkey sit over an hour before serving. I've never liked turkey much but this recipe has changed my mind! We have a whole lot of leftovers to enjoy 😋 Many thanks 🤗

i made the turkey and gravy following your recipe except for scraping orange and lemon zest I used just the juice I did not have parsley to stuff the turkey but i had garlic and cummin to stuff inside. Thank you for the great recipe everything came out delicious. For the first time i actually made real gravy with right texture . In the past i would add all the drippings to a few cups of water not really measuring how much flour and butter to use and the results were not very favorable. My only regret was buying a 10.5 lb turkey instead of 18-20. A 10lb turkey wont give you much in leftovers for the next day. White meat breast is less than 2lbs . 10lb sounds like alot but its deceiving Next year i will use same recipe with a larger turkey
