- Classic Game Room & CGR Undertow review ROCK BAND 3 from Harmonix, MTV Games and EA for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. CGR reviews Rock Band 3 for PS3 with Rock Band 2 instruments (that work freshy fresh). The big, new thing with Rock Band 3 is the ability to play with the new Rock Band 3 instruments in the Pro mode (Professional Mode) which play more like real instruments giving a much more challenging experience. Real musicians rejoice, pro mode is here! For the rest of us who enjoy pushing plastic buttons Rock Band 3 remains very similar to Rock Band 2 and works with the awesome Rock Band music store (as well as many tracks from previous games). New challenges and a new career mode await you as well as trophies and achievement points. Songs included with Rock Band 3 range from 80's pop hits by the Cure, Big Country, INXS and Huey Lewis and the News as well as metal tracks from Anthrax and Dio. This CGR review of Rock Band 3 has gameplay from Rock Band 3 on PS3 showing game play during Rock Band 3 played solo and with bass guitar, drums, guitar and singing. This videogame review of Rock Band 3 includes positive reviews of the music from the game as well as a review look at the Ministry Track Pack 2 and Muse available from the Rock Band music store.

This series needs to feature classic Styx songs from the DeYoung/Young/Shaw/Panozzo/Panozzo period (1975-1984). Stuff like "Miss America," "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)," "Eddie," "Too Much Time on My Hands" and "Heavy Metal Poisoning."

Ronnie James Dio was the singer in Black Sabbath, and had a solo carreer (Rainbow in the Dark or Holy Diver are amazing songs). He died in May of this year from cancer.
Mark is the 1st reviewer ive seen that most of the time prefers to buy mulitiplatform games on the ps3

Real instruments? That is incredible that they designed such devices. Now we can be good at real instruments AND be good at Rock Band. I am very happy they added the keyboard. SUCH AN UNDERRATED INSTRUMENT in bands and should be used more! For these games, I think keyboards and drums can't really change much, considering drums were done fairly realistically from the start (just add some cymbols, and you got the full set), and keyboards need at least 2-3 octaves for some decent gameplay.

Can you buy a bundle for Rock Band 3 that has the normal guitar instead of the Professional one?
My game system that I have most of my rock band games on is BROKEN! But I still have my wii with rock band, rock band 2, rock band 3, LEGO rock band, GH4, GH5, and band hero and all I have is a microphone controller and a drum controller with missing drumsticks and a missing foot pedal. I actually had to make home made drumsticks. I NEED AUTO KICK FOR ROCK BAND 1-3!

can somebody help me ive played rockband eversince the first one came out and im playing 3 again after a year and it has been in its case the whole entire time and i was just playing and my game has never done this before but it started to just stop in the middle of gameplay and it goes right back to the game system menu can somebody tell me what is going onb

But don't buy it for play on the standard mode only (with only 5 notes, like the standard guitar)
if you buy this, youl'll be satisfaced the day you'll play a song in PRO mode (playing all the keys) in difficult or expert level
The piano songs are great on this game, trust me
the huley lewis and the news part was the best.
Good review, but I'd like to have seen one of the big additions to RB3.. the keyboard or Rock Band Pro mode.

How do you put the rock band 2 songs on rock band 3 it put my rock rock band 1 songs on there that i exported to rock band 2 but it did not put the rock band 2 songs on there and how do you get the ACDC songs on there because they said before that you would be able to put them on there all so.
