While i wait in limbo on a few other projects, due to not having my woofers, i decided to start working on my DGAF Toyota Tercel that has been sitting in the shop for years. It is a piece of junk and barely runs. Why not have some DGAF fun with it!
I was going to call this video BIG BASS OR BUST but i want it to do both! i hope it does!
In this video, I am still working on the wall for the 4 15" DC Audio Level 5 subs (available here www.wccaraudio.... ). These things are so sexxy i can't wait to hook them up. In fact, i couldn't wait any longer. After FINALLY getting the woofers installed, i had to listen to them. I had a CT Sounds 1400d Amp on the bench so i figured i would see how it does. I ONLY hooked up 2 of the 4 subs due to the crazy amount of 8ga speaker wire that would need to be twisted together..besides, this is just a short initial test to see how it is going to act. So far so good. More video coming soon!

I had the exact tercel for a winter ride years ago, that thing was a trooper! I'd drive it like dukes of hazard and it never quit. I never thought I'd see a walled tercel. That's dope.
Man... what i would do just to hear these cars in person, Steve. I honestly think mine kick pretty hard, but nowhere near the kind of power you're putting out! Hell, i could even learn a thing or two just from watching these videos.

Thank you for showing the LED UV light for the SunFlash. Living in AK we don't get the year-round sun y'all get, (nor the nice outside temps). Gonna have to go to SMD to price that stuff out.

60 hertz is perfect for a tig welder test vehicle. Now hook the subs up to a foot pedal tig welder at 60 hertz AC power 240 volts times 100 amps equals 24000 watts..that will be my next build

Steve, have you thought about wiring the subs to power cords then plugging them to a power strip with a switch and burping all 4 subs together on wall power? 120 volts A/C is 60Hz where the box is the loudest. I think that would be an awesome video while waiting on the amps.

The subs just couldnt handle the abuse or the extreme power levels needed. DC subs are def. some nice subs. WOW to get to go to Rusy's and build one. Props to Rusty and DC. The suspension systems are just so much better and VCV is WAY better.

NOW... place the meter in the back left corner inside the box around where the windshield would be and leave the door open. Thats how we beat Alma Gates. We used the cab space as the box and the back was wide open.. So an i beam of steal ran up and down the middle of the truck and had 2 2ton winches pulling the doors shut from the inside then bolted shut to seal the doors. SO ... the cab WAS the box. Like in port wars sticking the meter in the box and doing 170's with one or two subs with lots and lots of power. Granted back that far in the early 90's we replaced subs every round. Lou at JL had stacks of subs brought to every show for us to replace. Started as all wood then quickly switched to all steel inside with THICK plexy windshields and concrete. But 165's were easly produced by making the cab the box and meter placement was the major part of the design. 20 years later my secret is out!

Steve..we were trying to beat alma gates in the 90's and I figured out a way to do big numbers on the dash sealed....165's in the early 90's... we should talk about your astro project sometime

152 isnt loud... yeah right that thing is gonna hurt i see windshields being replaced in the near future dude i really enjoy this build style.. take a small car and pack in brutal subs in multiples and put ten of thousands of watts to them you must hate that car

it's at a stand still. I have no amps or batteries at the moment. Amps are over a month out and im not gonna order batteries till i got amps lined up.

Not to shabby for your 900th video! Can't believe that was only 1400w!! My old set up was no where near as "intrusive" as making a car be the box, but 7000w peak with a pair of Memphis MoJo 12"s hit 143.5 at a sound off a few years back, now seems like total garbage!! Keep em coming and keep ignoring the -vibes bruh!! ONE *_*

I have a question for an expert audio person. I have two 12's Rockford Fosgate. When I turn on my truck one of the woofers always bumps like if it was playing music but only does it when the truck is turning on, then it stops.
