One of the fella's from next door came by and wanted me to take a look at his system. After inspection i noticed there was a lot of things wrong. From the power wire to the gains/bass boost turned all the way up it was just bad news. He is a hard worker and a cool guy so instead of just sending him on his way, i decided to fix it for him while he was working. This was just an hour and a half worth of work tops but i plan on making it even better for him soon.

Like a good neighbor..... Steve Meade is there! Great job man!
+Brandon LMAO!
Dangaranga much better than the state Farm jingle and I would much prefer Steve show up.
@@LerRhann Hell yeah. My agent is gonna have that bass rolling up
Soon as he hit the corner he turned that all the way up gains and all lmao
lmao Prolly did.
That's the shit I used to do 🤣🤣🤣
That's cuz the bass he wants doesn't match his pocketbook
Always gotta respect a man who helps out his fellow man. Watching those high end custom installs are just as interesting as simple vids like these. Keep up the quality work and quality vids...
A few years ago when the HCCA sub first came out I was the only person I seen with that sub even till today, seen in person. I had 1 12" HCCA with a Rockford T1500 at 2ohm. Had O2 door speakers on a Kicker 350.4. It use to rock so hard people thought I had 2 15" and I would show them and they couldn't believe it. Perfect highs and perfect lows, and now seeing the SMD distortion kit I know it would have been even more crazy!!! I balanced it out manually but I know with this kit it would have been even more unbelievable. You are definitely the man in audio Steve wish I knew about your channel when I had my system. But Now I do so better late then never right.
I know this is 4 years old. That being said I gotta say brother your one hell of a great person hook someone up like that and no charge were not so different I do things for ppl all the time that I don't know and don't ask or expect a thing and won't take a thing for it. All part of helping out ppl and paying it forward. Carma always comes back in the long run and the more good you do for those in need one day it will come back when you need it and don't expect it. That's the way we should all live and be. Mad props brother 👊. Like I said before this is one of the many reasons why your the best in the business 👊
Dude is prolly superrrrrr pissed...."My shit was banging at vol15...now i gotta go to 60....DAFUQQQ" lol
no not at all. It would probably be up to 38-40 without. Makes no difference. Idea is to detect distortion from the deck to the amp and it can be done by matching amp gains to deck output
turning a knob a bit is better than frying electronics and having them put out shitty sound
Diesel_Nut84 - You totally missed his point lmao.
No actually i didnt
yeah i now right butt doesnt sound clean like that
Diesel_Nut84 Actually yeah you did numb nuts
Clean job man... These days that's hard to find... Remember back in the mid 90s man? That was the peak of it all... I was in my teens flipping gear and installing in the bay of the car wash... ;0)
i did lots of installs out of the bay of a car wash stall hahaha..good shit my bro
Likewise man...
Man I forgot about the car wash. Done that a few times, good times.
LOL... Yeah man it's the poor mans shop...
@@joezbackwith2gatz if it works it works, there's a sign at mine that said no loud music, but it's gone now😉😂
man, even on your "DGAF" projects you do things right! :)
I respect that, i hope your friends appreciate how good of a person you are Steve :)
It's amazing what Steve can do while holding a camera! Lol that's awesome that you did it for free real quick!
just gotta say, as a bit of an audiophile here, I'm glad to see you guys aren't just concerned completely with bass. I mean, I could care much less about my car setup than my setup in my house, but thanks for being a shop that CAN do up an EQ instead of jumping to "NEIDZ MOAR BAZZ!!!". - long time subscriber, and fan
You a good man Steve! Way to look out for people like that. Much respect!
Don't you just love it, when you dig in your extra parts bin and find the pieces you needs to make your project come out like its a million bucks.
That's cool that you work on small systems too and you helped out a friend to get his stuff sounding correct. Distortion does suck. Great work man!
Steve you are a good friend, you hooked him up awesome job bro
Ill support your products simply by the way you treat friends/customers!!! Glad I got my dd-1!!! cc-1 coming soon
Thanks Steve!!
Hey steve good shit hooking him up i went to automotive school with him and his bro. That dude hooked me up with a tat when my baby died glad to see with no help someone payed it forward thanks

High
I have always liked the way you do your jobs and I can always see your pride in your work. But hooking up a guy with what you did is freaking awesome. That's showing your human side my friend. Am an Auto Technician and I sometimes do the same with people I help them out and show pride in my work when doing so for free. Keep up the good work and thanks for feeding my BASS needs. You inspired me to start upgrading my set up. I started with an Orion HCCA 12D in a tuned ported box powered by a Hifonics Brutus Bxi2006 mono block. I am proud of it but still need to clean it up. Thank you again brother! Have a great year I know I will since my son was born yesterday 01/01/14.
Thank you Steve for not talking shit about Crunch. The wiring was not normal. I like the way you put it together.
there needs to be more people like you in the industry mate good work
Always fun to watch a good man go to work at what he loves. Very sloppy to very clean. Well played.
What a hell of a guy to hook up the guy over in the shop to him. Great work bro!
You're a good man Steve. I hope all your customers appreciate the work you put in. Wish u lived in the uk
Only if there was more people like you in the world...working hard for free just to help a guy out. I watch your vids and you are a stand-up guy.
Great job man. your such a nice guy, he dropped it off just asking for your opinion on it and you gave him the full hook up. i wish all bassheads would look out for others like that. very clean install!
You sir are an inspiration for me hope to be as great as you one day keep being awesome!.
SMD YOUR TRULY A BAD ASS, HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMP IN THE CAR AUDIO DIVISION. YOU ARE A NICE PERSON ALWAYS HOOKING PEOPLE UP. I WISH I HAD THE KNOWLEDGE & WISDOM YOU HAVE MY FRIEND. KEEP UP TBE GOOD WORK MY GUY...
You're a good person to take time out of your busy schedule to help someone.
You da man! That was very nice of you to not only look his shit over and fix it, but to put in new terminals and wire.
Also, you should ask if you can borrow those amps for Amp Test Tuesday. It would be cool to see how close their output is to one another.
dayuuuuum! See, that's when you know this guy is legit! He's just as enthusiastic to put his touch on a $50 system as he does a 20k system!! Nobody else else like you Steve. You're definitely an eardrum engineer!
What a guy, hookin people up for free
I like looking at ur vids of high end redic set ups, but I love seeing this normal stuff I can relate to and help me do my own stuff. Thanks for the vids Steve!
That was awesome of you man, the world needs more people like. Go the extra step to help someone out.
I have a goody box of things I have acquired through out the years myself! And you are right the boneyard never let me down either! When I was younger and even now, I would visit my local boneyard and I would pull out power wire, distro blocks if I came across them!
That's awesome to hook this guy up! Good things come back around Steve..
Steve Meade is the coolest dude on RUclips.
You’re a good guy Meade. Always hooking people up! I just had to fix a set up for a buddy of mine not long ago. He paid a guy $125 to hook his system up and the guy totally hacked it all up! The guy must have used a whole roll of electrical tape doing it. I kid you not there was tape all over everything! Lmao! Some people just don’t have a clue! Love watching you videos keep it up brother!
Love the way you hooked yo boy up next door, his highs and mids need a lot of work, but good job man
You are the bass king doing all this work an video all at the same time
Thats how u know meade is a cool guy he helps guys wit the small systems
*I wish I had a "Bill" for everytime my Wife said, "Why do you save everything? and always later say, "I'm glad you Saved that". xD*
You should empty that ash tray for your boy Steve! lol
This here is true citizenry and community service
went outta your way to help a dude out. I love my DD1.
and id love to know what else you got in the boneyard lol.
great work Steve. Happy new year btw
Enjoying your channel, thanks for doing these videos and helping guys out like that. It's interesting to see the "fix it" videos, those are among my favorites. You are extremely talented and do great work. Thanks!
i hate seeing wires all scattered like that, nice fix and hope to see this car again getting some more gear dropped in.
Its pretty crazy how much u do for other people, like that 72 Chevelle build u did and these kinds of things too? Too cool man, ur a pretty awesome guy.
That's really cool how you do all that stuff for your buddys. You are a cool guy Steve!
always helping out the little man keep it up man your the best man
Much respect with doing work for the homies!!! Didn’t have to go that extra mile but you did.
That’ dude is working and probably in the struggle too. Way to hook ya boy up. That was cool.
I like seeing someone helping someone out💪💪
nice to see i'm not the only one that helps others for free.
Bro I like the things you do for people it feel good to give back to people I’m been looking at your videos for five days now I order stuff to put in my work truck from looking at you just want to say thanks and keep up the great work
Good man. Faith in Basshead Humanity restored
That's really cool how you do all that for your buddys. You are a cool guy Steve!
holy cigs in the dash man
Yeah, pretty nasty!
Oh damn foreal tho lol
There is some fatty roaches in there too!
Quality work my man. Been watchin your videos for like 10 years, never cease to impress. When I was in high school I remember my ghetto installs haha. But Im a perfectionist now i spent 4 hours installing speakers in the rear deck of my 2015 civic because I wanted them to be installed perfect to where no one could see it was aftermarket. Looking to into installing a small 4 channel and maybe 2 10 inch shallow mount subs now because I dont want to rattle my new car apart but I need my kicks hittin solid.
That was very nice of you to fix his problems.
I love that you hooked it up like you were stealing it!!
Steve you too cool man. We need more like you.
Good to see you taking care of people
You are a stand up guy sir!!! Wish I lived closer I would have you work in my stuff
I'm semi restoring a 92 Dodge Dynasty and currently building a duel ZV6-18" setup!
man you got some lucky friends, im green with envy right now...
nice work steve as always looking after people
That's pretty cool of you, Meade, to be Big Homie to the young cat. You probably just converted him over to seek CLEAN sound instead of just panel rattling thump. Big ups from an old BASShead.
Good stuff Steve! Not only did you hook him up and do it for free - you did it all the right way. Awesome tools (the CC and DD) also.
Hahahaha Steve thanks for this video. I was trying to help my step Daughter to get her shit right, i had used a RF CD to kinda get the gains up. Turning up the volume to where they would want it and setting the gains from there. Right at where i heard it started to distort i stop, it was about half way. of course because i have not gone to school and not certified but following you and Car Audio Fabrication and EXO, i learned how to do this. well of course they turned the gain all the way up, so i let them be. i tried. but i know once i am certified and had gone to school i know i will fight with who ever to make it right. again thanks for this great video.
Really cool of you to do that Steve. Big ups!
You teach people how to be a real true bass fanatic and that coool.
You think his grandma wa pissed when she went to the supermarket and found those speakers in her trunk?
f150 man i dunno...were you mad when you came home and found him and your grandma in his back seat? I mean she is a hot old GILF after all. LOL
I'll have you know while both my grandmother's were nice ladies but they were far from attractive....I'm planning on ordering a dd1 tomorrow I think I should get a discount now that my grandma's good name has been called into question...lol
f150 man hahahha ok no prob ill give you $20 off for being a good sport :D :D :D : D
f150 man lol
*Not as pissed as my Grandma was, back in the 70"s. I would ride with her to the Grocery Store every Friday after she left my Mom's Hair Salon. She was always leaving the Gallon of milk on top of the the Car. So, me as an evil 8yr refused to tell her, cause I loved watching it eventually tumble off the roof and splatter in the Road. That was my "FAIL" entertainment of the time.*
5 years old video and showed up as recommended. Not angry at all, lets watch it
I love vids like this. your a good dude, I always try to help people out the best I can also.
your the main reason I'm getting in the bass game your a legend man
I used to Have a 93 Lebaron.. and those early 90's Mopars are bullet proof
Man, I bet dogs like you too. You're a good man, Steve.
Cool video Meade. I need those tools! Headed over to the website you posted now.
Steve you the man!! Always doing good deeds!!!
My grandma had a 1990 new yorker just like that, you can see the little mark cross emblems. "New yorker, fifth avenue, mark cross edition" means it had the factory infinity speakers all over the place. only thing you can do for that car is rip it all out. even at that just a single 12 can make those flip up headlights rattle. Also the back seat is built like an armored car, you need to cut the rear deck to let some sound into the cabin =)
Good job bro. I admire all your work. It's hard to find good help now days.
I like these videos where you fix bad installs, I'd say it would be cool to see more of these but I know that sometimes fixing installs doesn't always go well. People can really screw up cars if they don't know what they are doing.
Damn good dude of you Steve to hook the man up! Hopefully next year I'll be back in California and bring you some business. My Duramax needs some upgrades!
It aint always about the money. For the love of music ! Good on u SMD
I wanted one of these soooo bad in highschool!
Makes me want to go listin to Bone Thugs or Cypress Hill.
Steve you are awesome for helping someone out! Great way to start 2014!
I wish had someone I could trust to work my tahoe like you here in south Florida... my ride needs help lol
You a good Man Steve, I used to do the same stuff out of the love of this stuff. I hate a bad sound system when I can help. ja ja ja ja Motorman in da Sip
Can't wait to get mine up and running
Giving back to thee community ... Proper !
man steve i wish i had a neighbour like you...
You're a good guy, Steve.
man I miss bumping onces I get a system I am going to be in heaven again I miss that bass
Steve is a audio god !
Very nice Steve! Clean up the mess and make it right...its how you roll!
Wow....much better, and quick question, why would you want to use the bass boost on an amp?
Who could possibly DISLIKE this???????
people who are directionaly challenged
probably the same type of people who think 1 out of 5 stars means good.
I find that alot of people on a DIY forum that shall not be named they bash Meade, EXO, JP anybody who is into heavy bass they are all into the SQ brands i spent a few hours on it and couldnt find a single person rocking anything bigger then 12s and it was even alot of DC, AA, HCCA, DD bashing.
Now that is all ready to listen to up loud and clean. I'd be listening to an internet radio station on the iTunes radio list which is situated in the Hip Hop/Rap (225 streams) genre called Under Ground Radio Music - Nonstop Rap 24/7. Thats where its at. If anyone knows of another internet radio station that hits hard all day shout it out.
Good dude Steve. Good lookin out.
my previous car (99 lumina) was insane I am tone def now I was running all alpine the 2 type s 12 woofers had there on 1000 Watt amp running 2 ohms and 50x4 for fronts and rear
it was loud and sounded very nice driving by stores the windows were worping all I seen in the rear view mirror was 4 times lol running 3 amplifiers was nice but it took a while to match the two amp subs well worth it in the end tho
I kinda wish you had done an amp test on one of those crunch amps.
