You can keep your subscription model. If you don't want to add the new features to the current program then it should be offered as an add on pack. One-time cost, not a reoccurring bill. We have enough problems trying to stay profitable, with rising shipping cost and everything else.

Hi there! We completely understand your perspective. The Legacy software will continue to function, and it's entirely your decision whether you want to keep using it. Legacy users will still receive bug fixes, and if you decide to upgrade, that's entirely up to you. This is similar to Adobe and its subscription.

This subscription based world is financially unsustainable for consumers @@ricomatv

Legacy should stay available and updates should come automatically. It was sold as non subscription so now if you decided to change to subscription to make it more lucrative for your, you should stick to the deal done to customers who bought it before you changed your mind about it.

It is available and will forever be available. But feature updates will be only on subscription license. If you bought legacy as a non-subscription, the set of features promised to users with that version is fulfilled and nothing is being removed, but asking for new feature updates but not wanting to pay for them won’t be fair to those that have the subscription. Since launch, many have already switched over because they want the new features. If you don’t need the new features, legacy will be forever there and will be just fine.

@@ricomatv What if we don't currently own a copy of the legacy version? Are you saying we can still buy it and not have to subscribe after 12 months to keep using whatever version we have at the end of the first 12 months?

I really think they shouldn’t have made this announcement like this they should’ve said it’ll be subscriptions based by the end of the summer instead of catching ppl off guard especially ppl that just bought the whole software that would give ppl enough time to prepare imo

So for those of us you haven't had lux that long made a significant investment which did include the software, but now wish we could have not got the software and saved more on the machine purchase.

The subscription is a money grab I don't like it at all. I purchase chroma-luxe with my mt-1501and now you going to squeeze more money out of us. This is not good at all. I'm hating this subscription Garbage!!

There are many advantages to the subscription model. I understand how you feel. I used to feel the same about adobe. but now my versions are always up to date with the latest features. Other wise I would have had to purchase the new version for the same original price. If you calculate it over time you are actually paying less over the years.

@@ricomatv Why should we have to pay since we have spent close to $20,000 plus to just start in the embroidery business. The software should be free upgrade period. Let us make a living and stop sqeezeing money from use as a lifetime upgrade cost. This is so sad coming from Ricoma. I love this company but this subscription is sad.
