I just got my Cricut Starter Kit and i am in Kenya. Thank you for this!!!!!❤ Be blessed, ladies. I will watch all the videos
I would love to have a craft business if I were 50 years younger. I'm 85 and love learning the business of crafting. I have learned so much from you two lovely ladies on youtube. I started this hobby around 2019 and have learned so much. My daughter said the same thing to me that do I really want to turn my hobby into a business. I was retiring at that time and did lots of embroidery things. Anyway, I am now into sublimation!
It is okay to just enjoy retirement and creating for fun!
I am 75 years old and I am still learning
Hey Angie us grandmas still look young and beautiful. I still cant belive I have 8 grandchildrenand no grey hair lol (lucky redheads) My business is one year old im not making a profit but i still trust i will make it. I dont make for fun anymore its always for the business but i try to keep to making things i am proud of and love. Looking forward to getting to know cory as well as Angie who inspired me about two years ok. My advi eif you dont make the first step you may suceedif you dont you wont. My husband started thinking i was mad but now he is proud and every dayhe wears a ring he asked me to make him and that makes my heart ful
You can do it!!
Overwhelm is alive and well in Southern California!
Great first episode! I'm looking forward to learning more from you both. Thanks, ladies.
Wow, Wow 😅, that step 1 is definitely the first step to carefully consider. My first step was a name and domain.
I’m on board with this podcast and will subscribe to Hey Let’s Craft Stuff. Love incorporating the laser in my smaller wood projects and learning the designing aspect.
I love crafting.
Thank you so much for this video and the camp. Ive been wanting to start a business for 6 years and the camp finally gave me the courage to start!
YAY! Good luck!!
I loved crafting for profit camp even tho I am still going through it
Thank you Angie and Cori this has been awesome and So full of tips and advice you both are amazing!!! Hugs Liz x
Thank you...
Thank you so much. My take away is deal with the next thing. I have to remember 1 by 1 makes a bundle.
Ladies!! Thank you so much for this. I bought the All Access Pass last year, and just having reiteration and expounding on the camp classes is fabulous.
Awesome! So glad you are here!
Hello ladies, watching the replay! My husband gave me a Maker Christmas 2022 and I've been learning ever since. I'm not sure if I want to take my crafting to the next level while also working. @Angie, one of the 1st shirts I made for myself with HTV said "Mom...est. 1989, Grandma...est. 2014". I was a grandma at 47 (I have 3 grandkids as well). My oldest will be 10 next week!!! My grands call me Anya (hence my moniker). Thank you both for putting this together; it's helping me decide if I want to turn my hobby into a side hustle. I travel a lot and I'm worried what to do if I get orders while I'm traveling.
Awesome!! Thanks for watching!
i really enjoy
So happy you liked it!
This was very good information. I started my craft business and have been in a lull for a few months. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Love your first episode ladies!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Hello ladies from El Paso,Tx
100 acre farm?! That's a lot of room for She Sheds! 😂
Yes it is! I use one for an office space actually! HA!
I've been wanting to start a craft business for a while now. But I have no clue. Do I need to tell jobcentre? How do I work out tax? Is it best to sell online? If so what should I use? Is it worth doing craft fairs when there's not many where I live? Will the job centre tell me to work as well starting up my business? (Even with my health condition). Will i need insurance? The list goes on 😮 x
Start simple! Contact your local small business administration and see what you need to do locally. That will get you set up. Usually, they will go over sales tax information with you as well. Then you can start with a craft fair or start working out selling online. Again I would start simple with selling on Facebook, Instagram, or an Etsy shop.
I really want to make personalized signage using a laser cutter. Have you ever had to put out a fire? I'm getting nervous about fire, fumes and the noise level. I would have all the safety equipment handy and take all the precautions like keeping the machine clean of course. And I would have it vented out a window. I can wear noise protection. I'm just nervous & wondering what your thoughts are.
I have not once had to put out a fire. It is good to be safe and keep things close by but I think fires are fairly rare. Venting out of a window is fine. They are not loud enough in my experience to require noise protection.
@@AngieHolden Thank you for your feedback!!!
Thank you. I got so much information. I had purchased the Camp because I was away and can't wait to watch.
I am confused, though. Adobe Lightroom was free to load, but not free to use. Did I look at the wrong editing app?
Hmmmm...they may have changed it since we downloaded!
@@AngieHolden Things are always changing. I will try loading it on a different device. Thank you. Loved the podcast!
@@elainepanfil569 Just chiming to in say there is currently an actual free version for phones :) There is an option for a free trial, but the app is truly free with limited features that are still very handy. It's how I edit my photos. It is not free for desktop/laptop computers.
YOU'RE A GRANDMA!? Thays crazy, being a crafter keeps you young. 😂
I am!!
So many out how do you know the best machine dft and sublimation
Adding something to my calendar to do a more in depth video on the comparison.
I became a Grandma at the age of 35. I will be a great grandma at the age of 64. You definitely don't look old enough to be a grandma.
HA! Thank you!
Angie Holden, you definitely look way to young to be a grandmother!!
Thanks!
😔Bought the all access pass it’s bittersweet
Because since I bought it just a few days ago,
All giveaways are not valid anymore
And also some amazing coupons deals expired. So you pay the full price for just the videos which is a bummer because the discounts were good for other courses.
I wish the deals were considered to new members joining after or something.
Can you email us at help@craftingforprofitcamp.com and let us take a look!
I am a crazy over thinker
Kortney Carey
I am a medically retired 23 yr teacher who was gifted a laser engraver and sublimation setup. I have been in business since January 2023 and it is slow but not necessarily steady. I am a GaGa with medical issues that makes me stay home and basically unable to travel alone. I live in a very small town and thought online sales were going to be my winning idea but I am a better face to face seller and find success at those types of settings. So, how do I go about securing a grant or other financial backing to take my business to the level of store front? Also, how do I find the niche that I can do but no one else can do? I was a math teacher and that was what I “sold”…now it is crafts…HELP!!
Great question! We need to work in something about growing with capital investments!
I hope I am not over stepping by giving a few suggestions for a few niches. You could be a math tutor online and have a membership and sell math crafts. I find hands on experience works better for lots of people. For example lots of adults have problems counting change. Make a game counting correct change. You could target math teachers and home schooled children or just average parent. Just do your research for what is needed in math sector but being a teacher you would know how kids grow up and miss out on certain concepts like counting change. If cash register breaks down lots of people can't count change. Also people have hard time applying math concepts to everyday life. I know lots of people who can't use measuring tape to. So building something would be hard. Also converting American measurements to metric measurements. So targeting niche that help everyday life is out there a little but would tremendously help a wide variety of people. I hope these suggestions help.
I get stuck in the research
YES! Often times the research phase is too long! Just making a decision and running with it can be better in the long run.
You definitely do not look like a grandma Angie Holden! 😮
Thanks!!
Tiktoc is about to get kicked out of the usa
We never know what will happen to any platform but it is always good to keep your eyes on new ones for business reasons.
You don't look like a gramaw,and I'm not just being nice!!😅
