Thanks for this weeks update. Nice to let others know that it’s not just making the homestead better by improvement it’s the maintenance that keeps the place going and the improvements are the cherry on top. Hiya you too . I've enjoyed watching you grow over the last years over ups and downs in your lives . Your both learning so much that will help you in your future projects .As they Rome was not built in a day . If you get a little fed up just leave it and enjoy more of your time together. The only thing I can say that might help with your pointing is try and make a heavy duty cake iceing bag make your cement slightly more fluid and use the bag to squeeze your cement into the cracks .
Chins up and remember there are lots of love out there for you both and lots of people living around you in the same position .👍👍

Thank you for this video. You are both such lovely, lovely people, it is a true gift each time you appear on the internet to share your light and inspiration shining through to us, wherever we are across this great world. The words and scenes you shared today captured more of the daily ups and downs and vulnerability so many of us experience (though each of us has our own specifics) ... and I am so sorry for your loss last year. But it's your kind ways and humor and grace that keep life beautiful, no matter the hardships. In a way, it felt like you dropped down a little ladder for us today, which reaches the same earth I inhabit! It gave me courage that my own dreams might one day become possible, as in your other videos I'm looking up towards that lucky cloud where your homestead dreams are already being realized, never believing my own ladder could reach that high ... Wishing you all the good health and love and luck as you keep forging ahead. May you be kind to yourselves above all. Thank you for the gift of yourselves. The best is yet to come! Lee

YOU TWO ARE DELIGHTFUL!!! I enjoy both your personality and your projects. I live near Washington, DC and have renovated two homes so I have a sense of what you are going through. I am sure everyone has an opinion about what you should do so I will keep to myself for the time being. I wish you two the very best. I am certain that you will be successful if you just keep at it. Just remember you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time.

There 12 types of snake in Portugal and one of them is a legless smooth snake lizard only two of them are venomous . Both are Vipers that are not aggressive .One of them is only found in northern Portugal .They are venomous but you have to be very unlucky to die from a bite unless you are allergic like a bee sting .The bacteria poisoning from the bite is more dangerous than the venom .
Both Vipers have the classic dimonds on their backs and are very shy and beautiful.
Me i would encourage them to keep the Rats under control .

If you cut the suckers growing from the bottom of your trees it will send more energy to production of fruit. Also it allows the tree to use all of the rain water. Pick all your quince and take to the city to sell or give away. Beautiful fruit. Nice fire.

Good to see the only snake in the outside bathroom is Dan's when showering. There was really no need to explain about the mix of content, the truth is that not everything is a big project but the homestead itself is a daily accumulation of many small tasks and even when completed would require constant maintenance.

Hi young nice couple, I can imagine so much how tough it must be by times but also exciting and inspiring so "haut les cœurs" like we say in France!
With the marvelous quinces two birds with one stone, with the same batch you can make Quince jelly and with the left over pulp you will make the Quince paste which is a must for Christmas served with strong cheese, my recipes are French but I'm sure you'll find them in English....

You have achieved so much in such a short time
I think that you are so brave dealing with the infestation I would be running a mile
Homesteading is very Labour intensive but you two approach it with a positive attitude
Things do go wrong and can really test your resilience but as you rightly point out talking through your reality and perceptions is so important especially after going through the loss that you both suffered last year
Those of us that follow you are continually rooting for your happiness and success Sending big hugs ❤

You just answered my question before i asked it. Do you see much wildlife? You don’t need to apologise, long days, dark nights. If anything goes wrong here, we can just pop down to B & Q, 10 mins down the road. You have a big drive. Then a language problem. How many time have you or your subscribers said. Tomorrow i will do this, this and this. Get up next day and something has gone wrong, so your plans change. Twice so far this week. Due to the weather. So those who have property know how you feel. What are your sunsets like during the winter months? Good video. Keep smiling. ❤😊

For the gate, suggest you extend the post where the hinges are up another 6ft and connect a heavy wire from the top to at least the middle or even far end of the gate to take pressure off the hinges. The connection at the top of the post will need to pivot. Suggest the post extension be steel. Should be readily available from fence supplier.
