Hello and welcome to our channel! 😊
We are Peyman and Matilda and since 2018 we are cycling around the world, making vlog style documentary videos about our adventures.
We have cycled from Finland to West Africa, across Finland to the Arctic on an epic winter adventure, and now Peyman is back in Africa cycling Kenya 🇰🇪

One lifetime is not enough to discover the world, I absolutely agree with you, Peyman!
Such a wholesome guy. May only the best happen to you on your trips :)
Hey Peyman, thanks for your new video. ✌
thanks Peyman, looking forward to the Jones bar review, great stuff
Love your content. Wish I could live your life. I know it is tough. You do so well and I learn a lot from your experiences. Thank you.
You live an amazing life Peyman. Thank you for your adventures and I hope Matilda is doing well.✌
Where is Matilda?
Just saw you cycling past Ruiru 🇰🇪. Good job and safe travels 👍🏽
I really look forward to your Jones bar and equipment review.
Awesome!! Thank you.
Just watched the video. It's very pleasing to watch and listen to you speak. I enjoyed every second of it.
🙏🙏
love the foot being part of gesture from 11:04 :D
Great job, I wish the videos were much much longer. I could watch all day but understand why they are not 3 hours long. I've been watching from the start and hope you never stop. If you ever come to the New York City area I will host you for however long you want to stay. It probably wouldn't be long though because it sucks here. Rock on brother !
Hoping Matilda is doing well.
Hello sir am so excited to watch your channel, am frm Meghalaya
Habari yako Peyman,
great to see you are making your way through Eastern Africa :) I have been following your channel for quite some time, always great adventures - thanks for sharing all that with us on YT!
On your way towards Uganda, I can recommend spending some time in Kakamega Forest. It’s the easternmost remnant of Guineo-Congolian lowland rain forest. You should be able to cycle through the forest from Ikuywa to Isecheno (take a tea at fancy rondo retreat, maybe they will let you camp there when they are empty, but I won’t bet on that - at Isecheno there are bandas, ask the locals). Or cross back towards Chirobani and continue north alongside the Nandi Escarpment, good view point at Kambiri Hill. In the Northern part I recommend staying near Buyangu village at Udo’s bandas and campsite. From here you can do day / half-day walks through the forest thicket, might want to take a guide with you …
I have been in the region more that ten years ago, but if you need any additional info, please let me know! And be aware of snakes, the forest is renown for it’s snake diversity …
Save travels and many greetings to Mathilda (hope she is doing well/better)!
As a child about 60 years ago, we as a family were in Entebbe, it will be very interesting to see the changes.
Thanks for answering my questions! 😁
Gonna start traveling soon with my Koga, cant wait :)
Peyman's bicycle can carry 170Kg, it's a TX400 VSF Fahrradmanufaktur.
Only time I know the weight of my bike setup is when I pay for it at the airport I usually - the bike box . How many kgs did you check in when you flew there .
Love you Anna(BROTHER) From INDIA 😇✌️❤️💐
Hi From South Africa.
A friend & ex neighbour, Leana Niemand from Cape Town, has been cycling around the world for the last 15 years. She is currently on a trip ( cycling solo) from Cape Town, up the West Coast & through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia & Malawi.
She will have good advice on routes, road conditions, accommodation/camping etc & be happy to share if you contact her. She is active on Facebook.
One word of warning - with electronic equipment & riding solo, you will be particularly vulnerable to crime in South Africa, especially around the larger towns & cities. Suggest you speak to Police & traffic authorities along the way on suitable routes & on avoiding crime hotspots.
Look forward to hearing about your trip down south!
You show a derailer in this video. What happened to the Pinion and the Rohloff bikes?
Is it good to have a titanium hradtail bick and a trailer for touring
Did they leave their winter stuff after winter season or just bring all of it while travelling ?
Can you and Matilda ever do a live chat for a vlog at some point soon?
What are those holds, that you are training push ups? :)
If someone can have only one bike, would you recommend a gravel bike for normal touring?
💪💪💪🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦
My question for the next......Who gets to fetch the camera mostly after it filmed you both riding by? And is that one OK with that?
When comes to gear I really thing weight don’t matter ie been ultra light or heavy for me now it about gear that lasts .. but feel modern gear isn’t built to last anymore maybe by design . Look at your tent I was so close to buying that tent even thou it was like a house monthly payment .. even thou it was twice as heavy it didn’t last a year without problem .. just a thought
Unfortunately that's true too... Luckily there are still some brands out there that really make their gear to last!
Long time how are you my frend
Hello Peyman, what tires do you use nowadays? Size? Tubes?
Hi, I use continental travel contact. 2" , with tube. Perfect for tarmac and normal gravel. But can't say how long they will last. First time I am trying these tires 😊
@@NomadsTrails thanks for your response, I greatly appreciate it. Good luck on the rest of the journey.
What about Matilda? And how did you end up in Kenya from Finland?
Hi Tracey, in other posts across our social Media, we explain Matilda won't be cycling any more. She works on our videos. Also our vlogs are behind the current time line, but I did fly from Finland to Kenya and now cycling towards South Africa. 😊
@@NomadsTrails The plans of 10 years of everyday cycling; as females are not built like males, is hard on the body. I am sad that Matilda has ended her bike touring and even myself being female and my own desire to participate in bike touring, that this too will be done in moderation. I will do in which they call, BIKE week-end trips. If I ever do a long bike tour it will be less than a month as for length of time.
That's simply not true, women are just as capable for bike touring as men.
Hey friend
come to india
What cycle are you using, model and cost ?
Silkroad from Tout Terrain. They have different prices. Please check out their website.
Thanks for quick reply and best wishes for your journey 👍❤️
