Perfectly said. Almost everything I've seen for this since it was announced has been political. People calling it "woke" or complaining about diversity or women empowerment... It's just tiring and sad! It's not trying to force the "woke agenda" , and I say that as a queer person. If you know anything about the games and books then you know it makes sense for the story and the source material. I'm more interested to find out how the game is going to feel on Unreal Engine 5! It's alot easier for new Devs to pickup so I imagine development might be "easier" but I hope it still feels unique and performs well. I'm almost certain the "unreleased RTX gpu" is a 5090, it's got to be right? They've been working closely with Nvidia and it would be a great start to marketing to say it "runs Witcher 4!"
I just want it to he reasonably explained in game, rather than just having the game start with Ciri as a witcher and then acting like she always was one.
I think a lot of people have the same perspective. I wouldn't be surprised if a character creator shows up in The Witcher spinoff being made by The Molasses Flood.
Very happy to see some new direction with the voice acting. Couldn't stand a whole game of Witcher 3's Ciri speaking. It's so unnatural and artificial there.
I disagree, I thought she was great. I'm not a big fan of swapping voice actors for big characters. Brings me back to the days of Sam Fisher becoming a completely new person in Splinter Cell Blacklist.
Yeah there sure does seem to be a lot of that, but the truth is that it has always made sense for The Witcher. My biggest point of contention is surrounding how they're gonna explain the fact that Ciri is a proper Witcher now.
Well said, great video!
Thank the lord, someone with sensible takes!
The new voice actress threw me off so bad lol cool trailer tho
Yeah, me too.
Yeah, I wanted Jo Wyatt back :(
So cool

i don´t object to ciri. at least as protagonist. but turns out watching the cinematic i was more curious of being able to be my own made witcher.

I'm not excited or looking forward to this. Idk why but i don't think I'm gonna enjoy it. I am looking forward to the Witcher 1 remake though.
@@seamonster5510 Living up to The Witcher 3 seems like an impossible task. I think that is working against CDPR with this game.
@@-RedCloud yeah I agree. And I know that Geralt is retired (as far as we know) but a game without him as the lead just doesn't feel right
@@seamonster5510 Replacing Geralt is like replacing Master Chief. Everything is just gonna feel irreparably off.

i have a feeling that most upcoming AAA games will drown us in girl boss bs.
