Vitiate also an educated choice of being superior to Sidious. Yea George Lucas said Sidious was the most powerful Sith, but Vitiate is who got Revan and Malak to become Sith in the first place!
He didn’t have to wait and bid time to turn them into Sith like Palpatine did with Anakin and Dooku. He dominated their minds while they were rebelling against the Jedi council shortly after the Mandolarian wars.
If it’s canon Sidious vs Vitiate (who’s only in legends) then Sidious loses.
Yeah, I agree. I am of the opinion that Sheev permanently died in Episode 6. And he was simply not at Tenebrae's level at the time. He died to a broken and defeated cyborg, after all.
Meanwhile, Tenebrae had lived for 1500 years and it took thousands of dead and alive Jedi and Sith to finally defeat him. Some of them are also on this list, which means they were insanely powerful. Which just goes to show what a beast Tenebrae was.
To be fair, Lucas spoke about Sidious's strength even before Vitiate appeared. There were a lot of comparisons between Cadeus and the Sith of the sequel legends and Plagueis with the Sith of the prequels

It's not that he's underrated. He's just not as powerful when compared
Count Dooku was great at combat. Knowing when to switch forms depending on who he's fighting. unfortunately, in the force, he wasn't one of the strongest ones.

It’s not that they underestimate him, he’s the chosen one. He’s going to be powerful. But you have to understand these Sith from the Old Republic are literally monsters. Vader is angry and rageful about padme right? He can go on a spree and decimate anyone..well not Darth Scion, he’s literally physically held together with his Rage and Anger. And his power of the dark side combined with that rage allows him to keep alive and from dying from physical attacks.
I’ll correct myself. It’s a combination of pain and anger. Which allows him to come back to life. And further his anger and pain

@@marskavols1073Official canon yeah, not legends. When you think about it Sidious didn’t really accomplish a whole lot. He couldn’t kill his master in a fair 1v1. He did wipe out the Jedi Order, but Nihilus/Sion were estimated to have killed more Jedi than Sidious, and they actually did it themselves. Palpatine’s empire wasn’t exactly galactic considering it didn’t touch the Unknown regions and barely got involved in Hutt Space. Many other famous Sith had similar or even larger empires. Besides, Palpatine was seen as a meme by a lot of old republic Sith.

Darth plagueis is the most powerful Sith even if he can't be considered 100% Sith. he was the Sith'ari and the chosen one rolled into one, like Anakin before he became Vader because if you think hard you'll find that the two are one and the same person. He could control the force to create life and he was close to reviving the dead He wanted to study the force to abolish good and evil for a better galaxy and because Anakin was his (son) he had the same goal. Palpatine was strong and he was the first Sith to (wipe out) the Republic at the hands of the Galactic Empire but he was just the asshole who killed (killed) both the chosen ones from the Sith side and the Jedis.

It's terrifying to think of the monsters that coexisted on both light and dark during the days of the old republic. Darth Vader and Palpatine might be stronger than all in raw potential, but they were just two in Darth Bane's rule of two. Not hundreds.

Darth Marr was an absolute chad of a sith. He’s the only one (besides a few exceptions) who could control both the light and dark side, only sith leader who wanted a diplomatic solution, and was able to become a force ghost to help the Jedi grand master beat Vitiate.

Considering that the Emperor's Wrath was someone Vitate personally chose to serve as his chief warrior I believe he should be on the list, like canonically the Emperor's Wrath would absolutely destroy Malgus. I'd say they deserve somewhere from 10th to 8th.

Good list but I would put savage and Asajj out. Firstly they weren’t sith‘s they were only assassins of the dark side (a bit like the inquisitors or Darth Maul before Palpatine killed Plagueis) and I would put Dooku and Maul down at 24 and 25, because Maul was to short a Sith and due to his lost duel against Obi wan and the loss of savage he got such a psychological damage that it was not possible for him anymore to reach his potential, while Dooku wasn’t enthusiastic about the dark side, he had an acceptance for palpatines Views how the galaxy should be ruled and which part he will play in to stop the corrupt republic. Great and powerful character but for me to less of a Sith to be in a high position when there are still missing Sith like Naga Sadow, Darth Krayt, Darth Traya, Darth Zana and Darth Andeddu. You can change few positions on the lower tier, but top 10 is for me nearly spot on, i personally would only change Palpatine with Vitiate

Something I've noticed on videos like this is the lack of Zannah. She grew to rival Darth Bane himself in lightsaber combat and unlocked force potential. Great video though. It's probably hard to include EVERY powerful sith

Correct me if I am wrong but... Tulak was unbeatable in a duel.. and is thought of as THE greatest Light Saber fighters of the Sith.
You do know that bane could do everything revan could do (because he studied revans holocron, and it was common to save all your knowledge in your holocron) and more? (Since he found even more holocrons.).
And bane was i fast with the lightsaber that when he trained during storming rain he could block every single raindrop with his blade? And that was after he lost the parsites and after his prime since he was weakened by the remains of the parasites poison.

Sure he became significantly more powerful after studying revan’s holocron but he only learned so much of revans teachings and that was only when revan was a sith. Even after, revan became much more knowledgeable and powerful. Bane of was the most powerful in his time because there was no one else but him and his apprentice, but revan was one of the most powerful force users amongst others like him while bane was powerful in a time of weaklings. Even then, his lineage would become more powerful with each successor deeming him the least powerful of the rule of two era.
@@clank0ta404 bane learned from multible other holocron and combined all the knowledge of multible sith lords. The sith of that time weren't weaker then the ones before them, the problem was that they lived in the dellusional idea that they could be equal. And nobody knows if bane manages to take over Zannahs body, it was said that she moved her right hand weirdly after their battle, the same hand that was shivering when bane was in his body. And sidious is probably less powerful then some sith of the rule of two, since he didn't follow the rule and killed plagueis while he was sleeping instead of prooving himself worthy in a duel like bane planned to. This means that sidious was very certain that he couldn't beat plagueis in a duel, otherwise he would've challenged him. And the line was weakened by other too who tried to break with the rule. About revan, he got more powerful when he entered the light side and used both, but as a sith he would've been inferior to Bane. Bane definetely wasn't a weakling and belongs in the top 5 (maybe even 3) of the most powerful sith of all time.

My point was that unlike revan who one of the tops dogs amongst other powerful force users in his time, Bane was the most powerful because he was the only one left against the Jedi who were slowly becoming weak and stagnant in tradition. As for revan being inferior, it was bane himself who considered revan to be the most powerful sith so bane acknowledged that revan understood the sith philosophy and darkside better than most sith. The ancient Sith Lords were always more powerful than the modern sith and sidious is believed to be the most powerful sith due to the fact that he managed to rediscover lost ancient sith knowledge and abilities that the modern sith lost due to Darth Gravid. We can agree to disagree, no hate I’m just very passionate when it comes to Star Wars but again bane wasn’t weak himself, but he also wasn’t immensely powerful to contend with many of the Sith mentioned. As for his duel with zannah, it was confirmed by the writer of the novel that zannah had defeated bane. Many had taken the part about her hand and the possibility that bane had succeeded in essence transfer literally but he explained it was meant as a form of symbolism and that zannah had bested bane. Bane definitely deserves a spot though
