I just adoooooooore Gillian. She means a lot to me because she was the first woman I learn about who actually played an instrument in a band. Of course, there were a few others back in the day and before such as Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads) and Maureen Tucker (Velvet Underground), but Gillian was the first one I knew and I was so impressed. I just love her. ❤

I think she must have some non-English ancestry somewhere because English woman aren't usually as beautiful as she is, and I say that as an English person myself.

Peter Hook has stated that Gillian - in those days - didn't add anything creative to the band. She was pretty much an on-stage roadie, doing technical work. Which *is* what the band needed, in 1981; but as of 1983 they were wondering when Gillian would step up. Later on she grew more confident (and skilled) that she contributed more. And of course there's The Other Two...
I love Hooky but I don't think all members of a band should create. Usually is just a few writers in a band and that's ok. Maybe he said that after they broke up.
