I love how Before Sunset encapsulate what these characters disclose in this scene. For example, Jesse stayed with his first wife for the sake of his son just like his parents stayed together for him and his sister. This also goes Celine first portraying herself as this free-spirited, free woman content in her casual relationships while later she reveals that she constantly dwells on that night with Jesse which parallels to her grandmother's confession. And this is all shown so naturally in the second movie, without the characters' over-emphasizing how their past has reflected their current choices. Just another reason why these movies have such a special place in my heart.

Yeah, they seemed to be having just a normal conversation. Most likely it's part scripted part improvisation. That's the great thing about this movie and the sequels.

In one of her interviews, Julie Delpy (Celine) said that there was zero improvisation in the whole series. Everything was fully scripted. It is amazing to think that all is scripted, and yet they play their roles so naturally.

@@ibrahimshiraliyev2476 Yeah, it's amazing. And From what I know, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke wrote dialogues for their characters in the two sequels which helped say their lines more naturally. "Before Sunset" got nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar.

Ethan Hawke became a much better actor over the years. Julie Delpy though has always been awesome. In this movie she makes Ethan look like an amateur.

I like how they seem like they are not acting, regular people just having normal conversations. The movie is all about the dialogue.

I completely agree she is much more convincing than he is in this film. He relues too much on repetitive hand gestures for example.
